Chapter 815: Vanished

And that Spear of Vulcan just now—so fast it’s almost unbelievable. It’s not a Limit Spell, but isn’t it even scarier than one?

Come on, don’t treat us like idiots—as if we wouldn’t notice. That Spear of Vulcan had three Haste spells, one Armor Break, one Sharpening, and one Explosion rune layered on it.

Damn it, a single Spear of Vulcan with six spell-infused runes—since when could a Title Archmage pull that off?

Thorne stared blankly at Hobart, who crashed into the mountain like a meteor, feeling as if his entire worldview had just been shattered.

Don’t think a Sword Saint doesn’t understand magic. Sure, we can’t cast spells, but after all these years of fighting, we can still tell what’s going on.

Let’s not even mention that terrifying casting speed. What’s a Limit Spell, and what’s a combo spell supposed to be?

He made it look so effortless—barely three syllables in the incantation. Is this really something a Title Archmage can do?

Just what level is Master Leon now? Eighth-Rank Title Archmage? Ninth-Rank Title Archmage?

I can’t make sense of it at all…

But when Hobart crashed onto the mountain like a dead dog, Thorne and the remaining Merlin Family members couldn't help but smile.

Why bother thinking so much? If you can't figure it out, just stop. Master Leon has always been a mystery—I'm just glad he's back. The stronger, the better. I hope he breaks through to Sky Rank and wipes out these foolish Blazeforge Orcs, the Watson Family, and the Black Tower scum, all at once.

As Hobart crashed onto the mountain, the Blazeforge Orcs were stunned, scrambling to protect him but none dared attack Leon in the sky. Their guts nearly burst from fear. Their chieftain, once godlike, was knocked down so easily. The orcs’ courage vanished with the River of Wailing…

Hobart, supported by two Blazeforge Orcs, rushed to the summit, spat out blood, and hurled a string of runes into the Teleportation Array.

In an instant, a faint light spread out from the center of the Teleportation Array.

In just the blink of an eye, the huge Teleportation Array lit up, and violent spatial ripples spread outward like a tidal wave.

Hobart, carried by two Blazeforge Orcs, fled quickly to the other side of the mountain.

Hobart coughed up blood while laughing wildly at Leon.

"Hahaha, foolish humans! You think this is over? Let me tell you, your doom is near. The Teleportation Array is already activated—the elite Blazeforge Orcs from the entire plane will gather here. Then, it’ll be your end. Defeating me means nothing."

"The Blazeforge Orc army will tear you to pieces. I’ll remember the Merlin Family—I’ll make sure every last one of you dies horribly, your souls howling in the River of Wailing, suffering day and night. Even your dogs won’t escape."

"You're finished, completely finished! Hahaha…"

Thorne, who had just been ecstatic, saw the light from the massive Teleportation Array and instantly sank into despair.

It's over…

Once a large Teleportation Array is activated, it’s beyond our power to destroy—especially with those Blazeforge Orcs guarding it. No way to interrupt it now. When the first wave of elite orcs arrives, there’ll be no chance to destroy the array.

We thought Master Leon’s return and his strength meant a turning point, but who could have guessed—the Teleportation Array could already be activated…

The Blazeforge Orcs’ scheme has succeeded. Every elite from the northern Blazeforge Realm is coming—not just the Merlin Family, but even with the Watson Family and the Black Tower, there’s no way to hold them off.

These crazed Blazeforge Orcs will tear down every fortress the Merlin Family controls in less than ten days—there’s no way to resist…

It’s truly over. Not even Master Leon’s power can stop this…

Just when things seemed most hopeless, Master Leon appeared and defeated Hobart—but who could have known it would bring even greater despair.

Thorne and the few surviving members of the Merlin Family looked utterly hopeless, their eyes empty. Escape was meaningless—these battered remnants stood no chance against the elite forces about to arrive.

Hopefully Master Leon can escape and get word back…

On the mountain, the Teleportation Array blazed with light—beams like falling stars appeared again and again, and with each flash, a fully armed Blazeforge Orc materialized on the peak.

In just a few seconds, hundreds of Blazeforge Orcs had appeared.

Then came waves of Kodo Beasts, Wyverns, Wolf Riders, Blazeforge Orc Warlocks, and warriors…

In an instant, the mountain was packed with Blazeforge Orc troops, and as the Teleportation Array kept working, their numbers grew ever larger.

Wolf Riders charged down the mountain, their giant wolves howling eagerly for the taste of blood.

Wyverns soared from the mountain, their Blazeforge Orc riders waving weapons and laughing boisterously.

The ever-increasing Blazeforge Orcs paid no attention to the few humans nearby, nor to Leon hovering in midair, not even to the USS Dauntless.

They kept gathering, making it their top priority to guard the Teleportation Array and let more elite Blazeforge Orcs arrive.

Thorne gritted his teeth and shouted at the Merlin Family youths beside him.

"Run! We have to get this news out!"

Thorne’s eyes were filled with despair—he only hoped the message could be sent back quickly, to buy a little time.

In the sky, Leon hovered, frowning slightly as he watched the Teleportation Array and the endless stream of elite Blazeforge Orcs.

Then Leon took out the Spellbook of Ages, runes swirling across its surface as the USS Dauntless slowly shifted direction in the sky.

A hollow opened up in the ship’s hull, planks shifting aside to reveal a massive Mana Crystal Cannon.

Suddenly, endless light gathered at the cannon’s muzzle, growing ever more dazzling.

Leon floated in midair, gripping the Spellbook of Ages and casting a cold smile down at the mountain.

Last time was too rushed, and the Hand of Destruction was forcibly activated—less than one percent of its power was unleashed. In fact, before I controlled the USS Dauntless, the Hand of Destruction was dormant.

But now, with the massive cannon revealed, the Hand of Destruction is fully activated—it’s the USS Dauntless’s main gun!

Streams of light swirled around the Hand of Destruction, its muzzle shining brighter and brighter. The Blazeforge Orcs on the mountain below grew increasingly uneasy.

Large groups of Wyverns flew toward Leon, while many others headed for the USS Dauntless.

The Blazeforge Orcs on the mountain began charging down, apparently sensing danger.

As a few Blazeforge Orcs on Wyverns neared the Hand of Destruction, Leon silently calculated.

The USS Dauntless had very little power left—not enough to break through a plane, but just enough to destroy the Teleportation Array.

He’d already planned for this, stuffing the Hand of Destruction with Soul Mana Crystals—he hadn’t expected to use them so soon.

A rune lit up on the Spellbook of Ages, and instantly, the muzzle of the Hand of Destruction blazed with dazzling light.

A giant orb of light shot from the muzzle, and in an instant, a thick, blinding beam blasted the mountain peak.

Several Wyverns along the way were vaporized instantly, without even time to scream.

The beam struck the mountain peak, and the blinding light spread like a giant dome, enveloping the upper half of the mountain.

For a moment, the whole world seemed to fall silent.

The next second, the beam vanished, the blinding dome collapsed in an instant, and then came the deafening roar.

Boom!

It was as if countless thunderclaps exploded in everyone’s ears at once.

Thorne and the others turned around, only to witness an utterly terrifying sight.

The upper half of the thousand-meter-high mountain had vanished, as if bitten off by some giant beast!

The massive Teleportation Array—and thousands of Blazeforge Orcs atop the mountain—had vanished in that instant.

An even more horrifying scene followed—a shockwave swept out from the mountain’s peak, and the lower half instantly crumbled into countless fragments that floated skyward.

The Blazeforge Orcs swept up by the shockwave didn’t even have time to scream; they were vaporized in an instant, becoming clouds of smoke drifting skyward with the mountain’s debris.

Everything moved in slow motion—the orcs vaporized one after another, and the boulders and fragments drifted slowly up into the sky.

The world seemed to have gone quiet—or rather, that place had become another world, where time slowed to a crawl.

Thorne broke out in a cold sweat watching this—it was definitely not the power of mere mortals!

My god, what is that thing? It’s terrifying—just one strike!

A single strike destroyed a mountain over a thousand meters high, and three or four thousand Blazeforge Orcs—none even had time to scream, all vaporized in an instant!

What on earth did Master Leon bring back? The weapon on that ship is just too terrifying—no wonder Master Leon wasn’t worried at all.

Thorne was dumbstruck, and the few remaining members of the Merlin Family were too.

Only after four or five seconds did the mountain seem to return to this world—everything suddenly sped up again.
