As soon as the two stepped out of the pitch-dark metal shack, they were greeted by a blaze of lights outside. A wide corridor stretched before them, almost as broad as a major highway. At the far end, they were startled to see more than a dozen shacks identical to the one they'd just left. Only now did they realize that these so-called 'metal shacks' were actually special shipping containers! As for the rest of those containers, who knew what was inside...
Each container was guarded by two soldiers dressed exactly like them—Japan Self-Defense Force special ops, patrolling vigilantly. Seeing this, Ken Fu couldn't help but let his curiosity get the better of him. He lowered his voice and said to Shawn Young, "Damn, with security this tight, there must be some huge secret they're hiding. I really want to know what's inside those containers."
Shawn Young was thinking the same thing—and he was determined to rescue those hundred-plus people being used as test subjects. He nodded, and the two took advantage of the chaos, heading over to the crane truck and pretending to help with the loading, waiting for a chance to sneak in.
With that, Shawn Young activated his Heavenly Eye Technique to scan the containers. This time, he found that about half of the containers held animals just like the one they'd seen before. But one particular container stood out—it was guarded by far more soldiers than the others, at least six or seven, and one of them was carrying a powerful light machine gun. Clearly, that container was not ordinary.
Shawn Young focused his scan inside and was shocked to find the container packed with living people, all tightly bound—men and women alike!
Though the cab had two rows of seats, it was pretty cramped once they got in. The two didn't care what anyone else thought, squeezed their way to seats, and flopped down. Strangely, the other soldiers, though visibly annoyed, only frowned at their rudeness and stayed silent, faces grim—apparently this mission was under strict orders to keep quiet.
The other containers were filled with all sorts of strange machinery and military supplies—Shawn Young couldn't make heads or tails of most of it. He said to Ken Fu, "Hey, that container over there is packed with living people, more than a hundred, and they're all pretty young. No idea what those JSDF guys are planning to do with them. Maybe it's some sick human experiment again?"
From the cab, Shawn Young and Ken Fu looked out and were floored by what they saw—the corridor outside had several more passages just like the one they'd come from.
But in those other corridors, it wasn't containers being hauled—it was tanks, armored vehicles, self-propelled artillery, and other heavy weapons. There were even planes! Although the planes looked old, more like souped-up trainers than fighters, they were all lashed together and loaded onto gigantic trucks with dozens of huge wheels, rolling slowly toward a corridor marked by green signal lights.
Just then, a deep rumble of engines echoed from outside the corridor—a massive Mitsubishi crane truck bearing the Japan Self-Defense Force insignia rolled in, followed by a convoy of cargo trucks. The crane truck pulled up beside the containers.
The crane truck extended its mechanical arm and lowered thick metal cables. A group of special forces soldiers jumped out, calling over those guarding the containers. Together, they nimbly climbed atop the containers, quickly securing the metal cables to the roofs. Then they climbed down and moved to the next container. The crane truck rumbled to life, lifting the secured containers and slowly loading them onto the arriving cargo trucks. So, it turned out they were preparing to transport these containers away.
Ken Fu whispered to Shawn Young, "No idea where they're taking these containers. Let's try to follow and see for ourselves."
Shawn Young was thinking the same thing—and he was determined to save those hundred-plus live test subjects. He nodded, and the two took advantage of the chaos, heading over to the crane truck and pretending to help with the loading, waiting for a chance to slip in.
In less than ten minutes, all the massive metal containers were loaded onto the trucks. A commanding officer in special forces gear jumped down from the crane truck, signaled completion, then shouted in Japanese, "Departure!"
The soldiers who'd helped load the containers scrambled into the cabs of the dozen trucks. Shawn Young and Ken Fu exchanged a look and climbed into the cab of the truck carrying the live test subjects. Inside, besides the driver, there were six or seven more special forces soldiers.
Though the cab had two rows of seats, it was pretty cramped once they got in. The two ignored everyone else's reactions, squeezed their way to seats, and plopped down. Strangely, the other soldiers, though visibly annoyed, only frowned at their rudeness and stayed silent, faces grim—apparently this mission was under strict orders to keep quiet.
Ken Fu quickly moved closer to Shawn Young and whispered in a trembling voice, "I know what that is—it's radioactive alloy! Those JSDF guys are about to conduct a deep-sea nuclear weapon test!"
"What?! Really? The JSDF is testing nuclear weapons? Are you sure?" Shawn Young was stunned by the news, nearly shouting out loud.
"Yeah, now I finally get why they need so many test subjects! It's definitely for nuclear weapon testing! The tanks, planes, and artillery are there to measure destructive power, and these animals and people are for testing the biological impact and damage!" Ken Fu explained in a low voice.

"We'll take it one step at a time. But we can't let the JSDF pull off this nuclear weapon test! Damn it, if they succeed, their first target will be China! So, I'm going all in—even if it kills me, this is the biggest gamble of my life!" Ken Fu's eyes burned with a wild light. He was already cooking up a plan...
Seeing him like this, Shawn Young couldn't help but worry, afraid Ken Fu might blow his cover. Luckily, Ken Fu quickly calmed down. The nearby special forces soldiers shot him a look of disdain but said nothing, losing interest in him.
Their truck followed the convoy, slowly entering the massive corridor marked by green signal lights. After about ten minutes, they arrived beside a gigantic underground pool—or more accurately, a circular sea pond with a radius of at least a kilometer. There was even a shipyard built around it. The area was vast, and ahead was a towering, heavy metal gate that looked like it belonged to a huge shipyard.
With a few strange whistles, the metal shipyard gate slowly lifted. The passage beside the sea pond split open, and waves began to churn at the bottom.
Shawn Young and Ken Fu looked up and saw an enormous, bizarre ship—about three or four stories tall and several hundred meters long, jet-black all over—slowly rising from the depths. It soon docked at the metal shipyard, and its bow opened to reveal an interior the size of several football fields! Massive metal ramps slid out from the bow, connecting to the shipyard, and the waiting big rigs began to drive in, batch by batch, along the ramps into the ship's hold.
It turned out this bizarre vessel was a specially built Heavy Cargo Submarine—almost half the size of an aircraft carrier!
Once the last big rig had driven inside, the submarine's bow slowly sealed shut. As the engines started, everyone aboard felt their bodies sink—the submarine was diving fast into the deep sea. Shawn Young and Ken Fu could tell that this massive submarine was descending at a remarkable speed.
After about half an hour, the submarine jolted to a stop. Soon, everyone heard the sound of water draining, followed by a series of metallic clanks—the submarine had docked with a facility somewhere in the deep sea, and a passage had been connected.
The bow of the cargo submarine lifted, and the heavy big rigs inside slowly started up, hauling tanks, planes, and artillery toward the passage. Before long, it was Shawn Young and Ken Fu's truck's turn.
After driving through a grand, deep-sea corridor, the convoy entered a sealed Deep-Sea Testing Arena. The arena was enormous, surrounded by temporary, modular metal labs. Inside, dozens of staff—scientists and researchers—were busy at computers, running calculations and working away.
At the very center of the testing arena was a domed area, surrounding a deep, mysterious well—nobody knew what was down there. Around the well stood thick reinforced bunkers, massive walls of steel and concrete, each nearly ten meters thick. Scattered around were metal pillars, their purpose unclear.
The convoy finally stopped. Several Mitsubishi heavy crane trucks rolled up, and the Self-Defense Force special ops soldiers jumped out, unloading the containers with practiced efficiency. In less than ten minutes, all the containers were on the ground. Soon, a group of researchers hurried to the center, directing the soldiers to start opening the container doors and pulling out the contents.
A scientist-looking researcher ordered Shawn Young and Ken Fu to join the others in opening the container with the live captives. As soon as the container was opened, a pack of Self-Defense Force soldiers rushed in, dragging the bound young men and women out like animals—beating and kicking them as they went. The captives were terrified, faces full of panic at the unpredictable situation.
Ken Fu shot Shawn Young a look, and the two mimicked the other soldiers—each dragging out a captive. Shawn Young pulled out a man, while Ken Fu dragged a young woman. The woman struggled in panic, but it was useless. Ken Fu even slapped her hard before roughly dragging her out by the legs.
Following the others, Ken Fu and Shawn Young dragged their captives behind one of the bunkers, where wrist-thick metal pillars stood. The other pillars were already chained with cats, dogs, and monkeys. Meanwhile, the heavy big rigs had arranged the tanks, planes, and artillery evenly around the deep well in the center of the plaza.
While dragging the captives, Ken Fu took the chance to observe the layout. Looking toward what seemed to be the command center—a metal lab tent—he was stunned by what he saw. Inside was a metal rack holding glass tubes, each about the size of three fingers. The tubes gleamed with silvery metallic light, clearly containing something important.
Ken Fu quickly moved closer to Shawn Young and whispered in a trembling voice, "I know what that is—it's radioactive alloy! The Japanese are about to conduct a deep-sea nuclear weapon test!"
"What?! Really? The Japanese are testing nuclear weapons? Are you sure?" Shawn Young was stunned by the news, nearly shouting out loud.
"Yeah, now I finally get why they need so many test subjects! It's definitely for nuclear weapon testing! The tanks, planes, and artillery are there to measure the destructive power, and these animals and people are for testing the biological impact and damage!" Ken Fu explained in a low voice.
"So, what do we do now?" The news was so sudden and shocking that Shawn Young was at a loss.
"We'll take it one step at a time. But we can't let the Japanese pull off this nuclear weapon test! Damn it, if they succeed, their first target will be China! So, I'm going all in—even if it kills me, this is the biggest gamble of my life!" Ken Fu's eyes burned with a wild light. He was already forming a plan...
