The Shade Lord Is in Danger

Honestly, Cheng Xinmei’s figure was truly outstanding—she could easily rival Lin Ruoxi or Sima Jingyi. Where she should be full, she was full; where she should be slender, she was slender. Her beauty was so dazzling that any man would be moved. But Evan Chu had seen too many stunning women by now, and he was already immune to this level of allure.

Still, now that her clothes were off, she had become even more tempting. Evan felt a sudden heat building in his lower abdomen—a sensation he hadn’t experienced in ages, and one that left him a little bewildered.

Cindy Cheng had completely given up resisting. She wanted to die right now, but simply didn’t have the courage. It was as if her soul had left her body, leaving only a shell for Evan Chu to do with as he pleased. Shame no longer mattered to her—maybe it had never existed at all.

Glancing at her most private place, Evan Chu gave a cold smile. "Right now, I bet you wish you could kill me. But you don’t have that kind of power, so you’ll never get the chance. Now, just enjoy the wonderful feeling of becoming a woman."

With that, he removed her restraints and entered her roughly. Cindy Cheng let out a heart-wrenching scream that echoed across the mountaintop, lingering in the air for a long, long time.

Evan Chu instantly felt a surge of powerful yin qi flood into his body—a true virgin’s yin essence, dense and potent. The higher her cultivation, the richer her yin qi. If Cindy Cheng had reached Fifth‑Layer Venerable Martial Realm, absorbing her yin might have triggered a direct breakthrough, even more effective than the yin of special physiques.

Quickly fusing this yin qi with his Pure Yang Qi, Evan discovered that it merged even faster than the yin from special physiques. The blended energy spread through his body on its own, without him needing to consciously circulate it through his meridians—a discovery that left him seriously surprised.

Lying on the grass, Cindy Cheng didn’t want Evan Chu to treat her this way, but the pleasure was so intense she couldn’t help but moan. She hated herself for it, but no matter how hard she tried to endure, she simply couldn’t hold out—her lips were bitten until they bled.

"Just enjoy it. Not every woman is qualified to experience this—you should feel honored. I was planning to return some energy to you, but I ended up absorbing it all myself. Guess you’ll just have to deal with that," Evan Chu said.

Cindy Cheng’s yin qi grew thinner and thinner. She had no idea how many times she’d ‘ascended to the heavens’—all she felt was pleasure, enough to die for. At last, Evan Chu stopped; though he could have kept going, he knew if he did, this girl might really die right here.

He stood up and glanced at the streaks of blood on the grass. For a moment, Evan Chu felt a pang of criminal guilt—but remembering that she was Zander Xiang’s disciple, even that tiny bit of remorse disappeared.

He used Watershift to wash himself off, got dressed, and considered killing the girl right then and there. But he decided to let her live—whether she survived or not would be up to her own fate.

Right now, Evan Chu felt as if he was on the verge of a breakthrough—but it hadn’t happened yet. It was like standing at a critical threshold, ready to step up at any moment. Maybe if he absorbed the yin of one more ordinary woman, he could break into Sixth‑Layer Saint Martial Realm. But for now, that wasn’t an option.

He glanced at the distant sky—he knew the Ghost Clan’s territory lay ahead. In a flash, he vanished, while Cindy Cheng lay there, stark naked and utterly drained, the only sensation left in her body a burning pain in her most secret place…

After several instant teleports, combined with Windshift, Evan Chu arrived at the Ghost Clan’s royal city—Blackspirit City. Even from afar, he could hear the sounds of battle and see smoke rising everywhere, as if the whole city were about to be destroyed. The atmosphere was thick with danger.

Flying over Blackspirit City, Evan Chu surveyed the chaos below: Netherkin warriors were slaughtering Ghost Clan defenders, and dense ghost qi filled the air. If Evan chose to absorb it now, he could instantly become a true member of the Ghost Clan.

"The Shade Lord isn’t here—so where did they go?" Evan Chu muttered to himself.

"They’re probably in another city. Blackspirit City is the Ghost King’s capital, but with the Ghost King dead, it’s leaderless—easy to conquer without much effort. If the Netherkin want to take over the Ghost King’s territory, they’ll have to kill the other powerful city lords first. Clearriver City is the nearest major Ghost stronghold; you should check it out," Luna advised.

Evan Chu agreed with Luna’s analysis. In a flash, he sped toward Clearriver City, though a wave of melancholy rose in his heart—what would he do if Luna ever left him? He’d grown so used to her advice and problem-solving that he couldn’t imagine getting by without her.

After a few more teleports, Evan Chu encountered a Shade squad mid-air—two of them were former worship-offerings to Thomas Jia, both now gravely injured. When they saw Evan, surprise and relief flashed across their faces.

"Young master, what brings you here? What’s happening with the Beast Clan? The Ghost Clan has been overrun by Netherkin, and the Shade Lord and Nether Monarch are locked in battle. But the Shade Lord looks like he’s about to fall. If you’re truly strong enough, maybe you could save him." one of the Shade warriors said.

"Got it. Find a quiet spot to recover—I’ll draw off your pursuers." Evan Chu replied, then raced ahead, soon encountering the Netherkin expert chasing them.

"Hey, Netherkin mutt, you dare kill my Shade brothers? Tired of living, huh? Today, I’ll show you what real power looks like!" Evan Chu spat back. He’d picked up plenty of trash talk over the years and found it deeply satisfying to dish it out now.

"Where’d this brat come from, mouthing off like that? You won’t be leaving here alive!" the Netherkin powerhouse snarled.

Evan Chu was only trying to distract the enemy so the two Shade worship-offerings could escape. Now that he’d achieved his aim, there was no need to waste words. He swung the Frostbane Sword—Star‑Cleave slashed straight at the opponent.

Zander Xiang could block Star‑Cleave head-on, but this Netherkin was only a Third‑Layer Venerable Martial expert—no match for Evan Chu. The slash left him half-dead, tumbling from the sky.

Evan Chu didn’t bother checking if he survived—saving the Shade Lord was more important. After another close-range teleport, Evan finally saw the Shade Lord and Nether Monarch. The Shade Lord was covered in blood, while the Nether Monarch hadn’t suffered a scratch—the difference in power was obvious.
