"Xiao Fu, that's not right. The footwork I taught you isn't like this at all."
It's been almost a year. Every day, Xu Fu receives medical instruction from Dr. Henry Wong in the morning, and at noon goes to Master Bernard Zheng's place to continue learning. The two seem to be in constant rivalry, each teaching Xu Fu different ways to treat illnesses, often with completely different medicines and methods.
Xu Fu learns quickly. Each day, he reports to both teachers about the other's progress, and that's enough. Serena Zheng has started teaching Xu Fu some mystical movement techniques.
Every time, Serena Zheng wears pure white clothes, waving a ribbon in her hand, looking just like a fairy. Xu Fu watches in awe, utterly entranced. Though clever, his body coordination and stamina are completely lacking.
"Serena, maybe we should practice again tomorrow. We haven't visited Zhuoting in days."
"Alright, Xiao Fu. Let's stop here for today."
Serena Zheng said this, then took Xu Fu's hand. The two left the courtyard, chatting and laughing.
They arrived at a spot with a small pavilion, lotus pond, and artificial rock formations, happily watching the red fish in the water.
"Serena, is Master Zheng about to achieve immortality?"
At that moment, a hint of sadness suddenly appeared on Serena Zheng's face. Xu Fu held her hand and gently shook it.
