Great Divine Weapon or Xuan Divine Weapon The Mysterious Short Spear

"You..." Qin Han stared speechlessly at Jack Young as he walked onto the stage. "What are you doing here?"

"Isn't this the Weapon Appraisal Conference? Of course I'm here to test my weapon." Jack Young raised his short spear. "Miss, why don't you take a look first?"

"This one?" Qin Han glanced at the pitch-black short spear and frowned. "Are you sure that's not just a chunk of scrap iron with a spear tip stuck on it?"

"Hahaha!" The folks from Drunken Moon Pavilion wasted no time mocking him: "Is that thing for stoking the fire? Don't embarrass yourself at the Weapon Appraisal Conference, just get off the stage!" Some sect disciples in the crowd fanned the flames: "Yeah, where'd this country bumpkin come from? Get off the stage already!"

Jack Young ignored the barking of these sore losers. No matter how loud they got, it wouldn't change a thing. Plus, his recent exploits had been spreading around. While not many knew him yet, anyone with a brain could tell what was up when the sects targeted him so much. So, fewer people joined in the pointless jeering.

"Miss, you call yourself a blacksmith? That's just irresponsible." Jack Young straightened up. "Jumping to conclusions without a proper inspection—honestly, that's a fail for any forger."

"You—!" The tomboy was instantly miffed. What's with this guy lecturing me like some old geezer? But as she grabbed the short spear, her expression changed in a flash. She tried gripping, lifting, and rubbing it a couple times, then Qin Han couldn't help but widen her eyes at the spear: "This..."

"Well?" Jack Young looked at her expectantly. "Can you tell what it is?"

Qin Han scrutinized it for ages, her eyes flickering with disbelief, suspicion, and a jumble of emotions. In the end, she shook her head: "Nope, I can't tell. Honestly, it doesn't look like a weapon at all, but with that kind of weight, it's definitely not ordinary. Maybe... it could be a Xuan Divine Weapon... Forget it, I can't say for sure. Let's just put it in the pool. If it's really something special, my grandpa will check it out himself. We'll know what's what then."

"Xuan Divine Weapon?" Hearing a new term, Jack Young got curious. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Naturally, it's a weapon that surpasses even the Great Divine Weapons. Anyway, I'm not at that level, so I'd rather not say more." Qin Han didn't want to elaborate and pointed at the Hundred Arms Pool. "Put it in the pool."

Jack Young nodded and walked up to the Hundred Arms Pool. The short spear was so heavy that the wooden platform creaked under his steps. He leaned over to take a closer look at the pool. Up close, the Floating Pagoda Water felt even more mysterious. It was black, but not like ink—clear, not murky. The water had no ripples, but you couldn't call it still; you could sense some kind of hidden force swirling beneath the surface.

"That's wild." Jack Young turned to the tomboy. "So what would happen if someone jumped into this water?"

Qin Han huffed, "Once you're dead and gone, maybe I'll let you try it. Enough talk—put it in the pool!"

Jack Young just shook his head with a laugh, then tossed the short spear into the Hundred Arms Pool—splash! The usually silent Floating Pagoda Water actually splashed. No matter how big the weapon before—meteor hammers, spiked clubs—at most, there was just a little gurgle. Even the biggest, that jade sword, only made a ripple a foot wide. It was like the water could swallow up any disturbance.

But after the short spear went in, the surface of the Floating Pagoda Water started to churn and shake, rocking all the weapons floating on top. The clanging of blades sounded like the whole Hundred Arms Pool was arguing, amazed, and in uproar.

"Could it be..." Qin Han's eyes widened, and the crowd couldn't help but hold their breath, tense from the mysterious scene.

Suddenly, right in the center of the Hundred Arms Pool, a spear tip poked out of the water. In the spreading ripples, the black spear rose straight up, inch by inch, reaching for the sky. Slow and steady, solid as a rock, and everyone gasped: "Standing up straight—that's a Great Divine Weapon!"

"Wait, it's not stopping—it's already halfway out and still rising!" Under everyone's gaze, the short spear kept climbing, more and more of it above the water. Two-thirds, then three-fourths—every inch made the crowd suck in their breath, almost bursting their lungs. "No way, it's still going? That fire poker—no, that black iron spear is barely five feet long, and now more than four feet are showing. Could it be... something beyond a Great Divine Weapon?"

The shout made everyone break out in a buzz. The Drunken Moon Pavilion folks looked absolutely green. Anything above a Great Divine Weapon was a legend—a once-in-a-lifetime treasure. If this short spear really was a Xuan Divine Weapon, the impact on the martial world would be huge... Li Xuantong and a few others exchanged serious looks.
