Return to the Monster Beast Forest

1/19/2026

Evan Chu and Selena Yale arrived at the teleport gate where he had first entered Heavenly Fragrance Pavilion. Memories of that day flashed through Evan’s mind, stirring his emotions.

"Selena, keep an eye on the sect and stay alert. I’ll be back soon." Evan said as he stepped into the teleport gate.

"I understand, Evan. Take care—I’ll be waiting for you to come back and marry me!" Selena managed a small, forced smile as she spoke.

Evan was about to say more when a powerful force yanked him away. He vanished on the spot, teleported to another location.

Selena looked at the now-empty teleport gate and murmured, "Evan, you’re truly amazing. Being your woman is a blessing I must’ve earned in my past life. No matter what happens, I’ll never regret it."

Evan felt the wind roaring past his ears. The teleportation gate’s transfer was much like his own instant movement—except the distance covered was far greater.

Soon, Evan arrived at the teleport gate of the Western Beast King Hall and stepped out, only to be immediately surrounded by several monster beasts. Apparently, these were new guards who didn’t recognize him.

One of the beasts spoke, "Human, you’re bold to enter Monster Beast Forest. If you don’t explain your purpose, don’t expect to leave alive."

Evan glanced at his beastly captors and smirked, "You’re not qualified to know who I am. Get out of my way before I lose my patience."

"So you’re here to cause trouble! Brothers, let’s take this guy down—this’ll be a big achievement!" barked a wolf-headed beast with a crude, misshapen human form, clearly of low bloodline.

The beasts lunged at Evan, but he paid no attention, swaggering forward as if their attacks were nothing.

The beasts wielded clumsy weapons—spiked clubs, copper hammers, giant axes. Their only strength was brute force, but even when their blows landed on Evan, he barely felt a thing.

To the beasts, though, it was like smashing into a wall of iron—the rebound nearly made them drop their weapons.

"This guy’s way too strong—we need to call a Protector!" one of the beasts shouted.

Evan shot the beast a glare, "Are you stupid or something? I could kill you all with one move. You really don’t know what’s good for you."

With that, he vanished with a flash of instant movement. One of the beasts suddenly let out a thunderous roar—a crisis alarm.

"Someone’s broken into the Western Beast King Hall! That’s the alarm from the teleport gate guards—everyone, follow me!" called a middle-aged man not far from the hall.

Before he finished speaking, Evan appeared in front of him. Evan didn’t recognize the man, nor did the man know Evan. He was a former Protector from the Southern Beast King Hall who’d joined the West after Bear King Bran’s death.

"Who are you, and why have you come to the Western Beast King Hall?" he demanded, his tone thick with suspicion.

"If you want to know who I am, ask Heaven Ape Tyren. Now get out of my way—I have things to do," Evan said impatiently.

"You dare mention Hall Lord Heaven Ape, you lowly human? Since you refuse to explain yourself, you’ll leave your life here!" the man snapped.

The middle-aged man drew his sword and slashed at Evan with tremendous force, the blade whistling through the air.

Evan frowned slightly—the man’s strength was about Seventh or Eighth Layer Divine Martial Realm, no threat at all. Evan caught the sword with one hand and, with a squeeze, snapped it into pieces.

The man was stunned by Evan’s power. He threw away the broken sword and quickly shifted back to his true form.

His true form was a blazing red antelope, fur like fire, raising the temperature around him dramatically.

This was a fire-attribute beast Evan had never seen before—over three meters tall, with terrifying horns more than two meters long.

With a furious roar, the antelope beast charged at Evan, horns lowered. Evan couldn’t be bothered to fight—it vanished with instant movement, reappearing on the training field of the Western Beast King Hall.

By then, the hall’s people had rushed out in response to the alarm—Vice Hall Master and Heaven Ape Tyren among them. The antelope beast quickly arrived as well.

"Hall Lord, this intruder is incredibly strong—I couldn’t stop him. Please punish me!" the antelope beast said, its voice rumbling like thunder.

Heaven Ape burst out laughing, strode over, and greeted Evan respectfully, "Master, I didn’t expect you back so soon. Have you already taken care of things on your side?"

"No need to be so formal, Old Ape. Who is this guy, anyway? Such disrespect—if it weren’t for you, I’d have killed him already," Evan said, shooting the antelope beast a cold look.

The antelope beast transformed back into a middle-aged man and asked Heaven Ape, "Hall Lord, who is this person? Why are you so respectful to him?"

"He’s an honored guest of the Western Beast King Hall—treat him as you would me. Any more disrespect and you’ll risk your life. For now, you’re forgiven since you didn’t know. Make up for it with meritorious service," Heaven Ape said.

"Evan, you came back so suddenly—why didn’t you let us know? Sorry for the misunderstanding," said the Vice Hall Master.

"No worries. Let’s head inside and talk," Evan said, entering the hall with the key figures of the Western Beast King Hall.

Word of Evan’s arrival at the Western Beast King Hall quickly reached Skylar Yule, Selena Yale, and the others, who hurried to the main hall.

"Evan, what brings you back this time? Are you in trouble? Now that the Western and Northern Beast King Halls are allied, we rule Monster Beast Forest. I have plenty of time to help you," Heaven Ape said.

"Old Ape, I’m here to invite you all to my wedding at Frostbane Sect. Everything’s settled on my end—don’t worry," Evan said.

"Evan Chu, who are you marrying this time? Are you pretending your old mother doesn’t exist?" came a voice both familiar and furious from outside the hall…
