The Punishment They Deserve

"Bro?"

Ryan Wu saw Ethan Wu staying silent, so he instinctively asked again.

Ethan Wu didn’t respond; he picked up the phone.

The caller ID showed it was Ethan’s dad. Normally, a father calling his son wouldn’t be anything unusual.

But the timing was just a little too perfect.

"Dad."

Ethan answered the call, and everyone turned to look at him.

The man on the other end of the line was silent at first, then asked, "Where are you right now?"

"At North Hill Aviation University." Ethan’s heart skipped a beat—the sense of foreboding was getting stronger.

As he answered, he couldn’t help glancing at Evan Lin, who was standing nearby.

Looks like his dad is calling?

So that's NewAir Airlines' major shareholder?

The crowd started whispering, all eyes on Ethan Wu. They were curious what he'd say on the phone—and just as curious how this whole thing would play out.

Maybe Ethan's dad found out what happened, so he's planning to step in for his two sons—or at least that's possible.

Everyone waited quietly, but soon, they saw Ethan’s expression shift—from alert, to confused, to totally lost.

His body swayed; he could barely hold onto his phone. After a shaky moment, the phone slipped from his hand and hit the ground.

He looked at Evan Lin—his expression complicated, pale, like he’d aged several years in an instant. “Was this your doing?”

Ethan stared at Evan Lin. He honestly couldn’t figure it out—how could this kid have so much power?

Even Lily Zhong wouldn’t possibly have that kind of power—to forcibly take over NewAir Airlines in a single day!

On the other end, Ethan’s dad bluntly told him to apologize—or else not only would he lose his NewAir Airlines major shareholder status, he could be sent to prison!
