Evan Chu sensed that his opponent was about to unleash a powerful martial technique, so with a thought, he sent the lightning he'd gathered in the air crashing down. Even though Draxon reacted quickly, he was still struck by the lightning and smashed into the yellow sand below. Evan was elated; now that the Ancient Black Dragon was trapped in the sand pit, he was like a turtle in a jar. Without hesitation, Evan activated the Unicorn Arm and unleashed Star-Cleave.
This strike sent all the yellow sand on the ground flying into the air, and even where Luna was standing, the earth shook violently. The sheer force of the attack left her stunned, and she couldn't help but cry out, "Evan!" Then, with a flash, she sped off in Evan's direction.
Draxon never imagined that just as he was about to finish his strongest martial technique, lightning would suddenly descend from above. The force of the lightning made his bones feel like they were about to snap, and the overwhelming numbness left him unable to move. On top of that, Evan's powerful attack only added to his injuries.
Deep, bone-revealing wounds appeared all over his body, and in some places even his organs were ruptured. He lay motionless in the giant pit, and Evan glanced at the black dragon inside, wondering if this guy might actually be dead already!
Just as Evan was about to go down and check, the Ancient Black Dragon suddenly let out a roar that echoed through heaven and earth. Draxon's massive body shot out of the pit in an instant. "Kid, I didn't expect you could actually hurt me!" he bellowed, then unleashed a blast of dragonfire toward Evan.
Evan hadn't expected Draxon to survive such heavy wounds, but this guy was just too tough. With such a gigantic dragon body, it was no easy feat to injure him again. Evan dodged the attack with a swift movement, and then let out a dragon cry that echoed through the sky.
In the next moment, a golden giant dragon appeared before Draxon. However, Evan's dragon body was only seven to eight hundred meters long, nowhere near Draxon's two-thousand-meter size. But as soon as Evan transformed into his golden dragon form, Draxon shuddered all over, nearly falling from the sky in shock.
His two eyes, bigger than lanterns, stared straight at Evan in the air, and he spoke in disbelief, "You're actually a golden dragon? And an eight-clawed golden dragon at that? How is this possible?"
"Draxon, today is the day you die. Let this true dragon wipe you out!" Evan declared.
Draxon quickly recovered, his wounds healing at a rapid pace. "So what if you're an eight-clawed golden dragon? In front of this king, you're still no match!" As soon as he finished speaking, his enormous tail swept toward Evan.
Evan had planned to suppress Draxon with the aura of his golden dragon form, but this guy didn't care at all. Facing him as a golden dragon, Evan realized he had no other choice but to fight head-on—definitely not the smartest move. He instantly regretted his decision.
Seeing Draxon's tail sweeping toward him, Evan swung his own tail in return. When it came to defense, he was extremely confident, certain his strike wouldn't be any weaker than Draxon's.
But to his surprise, Draxon was only knocked back a few dozen meters before stopping, while Evan was sent flying hundreds of meters. Sharp pain radiated from his tail, as if the bones were about to break. Draxon's attack power was honestly terrifying.
With a thought, Evan immediately reverted to human form. But Draxon wasn't stupid—just as Evan shifted, he transformed into human shape as well. Staring at Evan, he said, "Kid, last time you caught me off guard and did deal me a heavy blow, but that wasn't enough to kill me. Let's see how you escape this time!"
The moment he finished speaking, Evan felt a surge of powerful energy ripple through the space around him. Instantly, a crushing pressure descended upon him—no weaker than what he'd felt when obtaining the Native-Soil Crystal—and he found himself unable to move.
Evan tried to sense what kind of domain this was, hoping it wasn't the Dark Abyss Domain Luna had warned him about—if so, maybe he could sneak attack Draxon again. But as soon as he probed it, he discovered destructive elemental particles in the space; even touching them with his divine sense caused pain, forcing him to withdraw immediately.
At the same time, he realized that these dark-element particles carried pure annihilation energy—utterly terrifying, even more so than lightning element. No wonder dark element was so rare.
"How does it feel, kid? Can't move at all, can you? Feels like you're carrying ten million jin of weight, right? I didn't expect to run into someone with the Primordial Dragon Bloodline when I tried to ascend to the Immortal Realm. But it seems you haven't fully awakened yet—otherwise, I wouldn't be your match," Draxon said.
"You know quite a bit, but if you think you're ascending to the Immortal Realm, keep dreaming. Today is Seven-Star Convergence Day—miss it, and you'll never break the void. You'd better get used to being trapped here!" Evan shot back.
"Not bad, kid. You can still talk inside my Dark Abyss Domain—pretty impressive. Then let me crank up the pressure for you!" Draxon snarled, his face twisted with rage.
Evan felt the pressure on his body intensify, already reaching the absolute limit of what he could withstand. If Draxon pushed it any further, Evan might really be crushed, suffering serious injury or even death. He cursed himself for being careless—he should've finished Draxon off when he was badly hurt, instead of letting him recover.
Evan stubbornly endured, sweat soaking through his clothes, but his will refused to break. He treated this suffocating pressure as a rare chance to temper his body—a training opportunity like no other.
"Hey, black mud-eel, is that all you've got? Give me more! My body-training still hasn't broken through!" Evan shouted loudly.
Draxon found Evan's words hard to stomach—was this guy really using his Dark Abyss Domain's pressure for body-training? Had he gone insane? Now, with his injuries, Draxon was already exerting maximum pressure, burning through his dragonforce and spirit. He couldn't afford to drag this out; he had to kill Evan now.
"You might be the only dragon genius to appear in a thousand years, but that's exactly why I have to kill you. Your bloodline is purer than mine, and you're a threat to my future. I don't have time to play with you anymore—once I kill you, this illusion domain will collapse on its own," Draxon declared.
Just as Draxon was about to unleash his martial technique and kill Evan, a heavenly voice rang out: "Black mud-eel, you want to kill my husband? Shouldn't you ask me first if I agree?" As the words fell, Luna appeared before them like a descended fairy...
