Overbearing Liana Zheng

"She always talks like that. Don't take it personally."

Faye Zane gave an awkward smile and looked at Evan: "She wasn't like this before. Ever since she came back from abroad, she's changed."

"Back then, Liana Zane was pretty quiet, but her personality was decent."

Faye spoke in a low voice.

"Faye Zane, what are you whispering over there with him? Muttering behind my back—is it about me?"

Liana Zane narrowed her eyes at Faye Zane, staring at her like she was eyeing prey.

"I wasn't, sis, don't misunderstand."

Faye quickly shook her head.

"Let's go inside."

Evan withdrew his gaze from Liana Zane, not bothering to look at her any longer. He had absolutely zero interest in this woman.

Faye Zane followed beside Evan, heading toward the Zane family estate.

Just as they were about to enter the door.

Smack!

A clear, sharp sound rang out.

A wineglass, still half-full of red wine, smashed less than two meters in front of Evan.

The glass hit the ground and shattered, scattering fine shards everywhere and startling Faye Zane.

"What are you doing!"

Faye Zane looked up, her face full of anger as she glared at Liana Zane on the balcony. "Do you know how dangerous that is!"

"What if it hit someone!"

Faye Zane shouted up at Liana Zane, then glanced worriedly at Evan.

She was still worried that Evan Lin and Liana Zheng would end up clashing.

"Oh my, what's wrong, Faye Zheng? Is that how you talk to your big sister?"

Liana Zheng leaned over the balcony railing, body tilted forward, head lowered as she stared down: "Faye Zheng, I am your big sister! What, you think just because I don't have parents, you can talk to me like this?"

Liana Zheng's tone grew colder and sharper, her manner aggressive and domineering.

These words made Faye Zheng's face turn pale, then flush. Lately, Liana Zheng always used this excuse, making it hard for Faye Zheng to say anything back.

Every time things ended up with the grandparents, Liana Zheng would play the victim—but in truth, the Zheng family had never mistreated her all these years.

Even last time, when the Zheng family was nearly destroyed by the Qi family, Liana Zheng herself cut off contact, yet no one in the Zheng family ever blamed her.

But now, it seemed Liana Zheng was getting a bit too carried away.

Seeing Faye Zheng fall silent, Liana Zheng curled her lips into a smug smile, then turned to look at Evan Lin, sizing him up with an indifferent tone: "Just now, I accidentally dropped the glass. You're a grown man, surely you weren't scared?"

"And, if you want to enter this house, fine—but first, call me 'big sis.' Otherwise, as someone not surnamed Zheng, what right do you have to walk through the front door?"
