Nine-Dragon Divine Fire Cage

The sudden turn of events left everyone present utterly stunned.

Fragments of shattered tiles flew through the air, and thick clouds of dust billowed outward like a tidal wave. Multicolored spiritual energies gathered in midair, illuminating everything in dazzling hues.

The next moment, the scene spiraled out of control. Screams erupted everywhere as civilians near Monkey’s building frantically pushed outward in all directions. Tragedy struck once again.

A panicked mass of civilians broke through the soldiers’ barricade and surged toward Tripitaka’s bamboo preaching platform. The violent impact made the whole structure sway and creak as if about to collapse; Tripitaka had to cling desperately to the platform, steadying himself amid the chaos.

In the crowd, the king waved his arms, trying to direct distant guards to restore order. But the chaos, combined with his inconspicuous attire, meant no one paid him any heed.

Barry Bear instinctively shielded Tripitaka with his body, reaching out to steady him.

In the corner, General Curtain was momentarily at a loss.

Little White Dragon, having caught a clear look at the newcomers’ faces, swallowed nervously and shrank back.

On the opposite rooftop, Marshal Silver stared in shock at the Kunlun Celestial Sect’s Twelve Golden Immortals sweeping overhead.

“What’s going on? Master Taiyi, Master Golden Dragon…”

Clutching the Nine-Toothed Rake, he widened his eyes and shot skyward, trying to reach the site where the Nine-Dragon Divine Fire Cage was descending. But Lord Wayfarer had already blocked his path.

“Our target is only the demon monkey, Marshal Silver. You’d best stand aside and watch—don’t meddle.”

Azure spiritual power crackled in Lord Wayfarer’s palm, making a terrifying ‘snap’ sound. He gazed down coldly at Marshal Silver, his attitude leaving no room for argument.

The Twelve Golden Immortals are beings even more powerful than the Nine Sons of Spirit Platform. Back then, even the weakest among them—except for the ‘idle’ Jade Cauldron Immortal, who rose to prominence thanks to his disciples—had already reached the Da Luo Golden Immortal realm. The top elites, like Lord Wayfarer and Master Taiyi, had already broken into the early stages of Da Luo Hunyuan Sage.

Six centuries ago, during that great war, the Twelve Golden Immortals were powerless against Monkey—unable even to fight back—because Monkey had swallowed the Sevenfold Cloud-Veil Pill and possessed limitless spiritual power. For a Traveler, spiritual power is everything: once it becomes infinite, their combat strength multiplies severalfold.

Facing these Daoist elders, second only to the topmost powers, even Marshal Silver had to retreat slightly. His grip on the Nine-Toothed Rake was so tight it creaked.

Beads of sweat trickled slowly down his forehead.

“What exactly is happening?” Marshal Silver demanded, looking up. “Why are you attacking us, elders?”

Just then, Master Clearwater and Master Rowan Redflame leapt overhead, gripping their spiritual artifacts. Both stared intently at the Nine-Dragon Divine Fire Cage that trapped Monkey, completely ignoring Marshal Silver’s question as they took their places in the Twelve Golden Immortals’ formation.

“This is a grievance between us and the demon monkey. It’s not for a junior like you to question.” With that, Lord Wayfarer turned to glance at Tripitaka’s high platform.
