Sam Shang, walking behind the others, quietly averted his gaze.
All the worries of youth had already faded away with the wind.
Now, all he had left was blessings.
As long as Yina felt happy and content, that was enough.
Ryan King noticed Sam Shang's odd expression and immediately put his hand on his shoulder, whispering, "We finally got a chance to go out and have fun. Cheer up."
"I'm not unhappy," Sam Shang quickly composed himself and said, "By the way, has your family started pushing you to go on blind dates?"
Ryan King's eyes nearly popped out: "Are you crazy? We're only twenty! Why would we need blind dates?"
After speaking, Ryan King suddenly realized, "Wait, don't tell me your family has started pressuring you?"
Sam Shang gave a bitter laugh, tacitly admitting it.
"That's insane!" Ryan King immediately grabbed Leo Mo and Theo Mo nearby. "Has your uncle started pushing you guys to go on blind dates too?"
Leo Mo and Theo Mo looked at Ryan King like he was nuts. "Families like ours need blind dates?"
"Exactly!" Ryan King's voice got louder. "Since we were kids, girls chasing after us have been countless. Why would we ever need blind dates?"
"Who's talking about blind dates?" Miles Gu turned around and asked, his gaze landing on Sam Shang.
Of all their families, the Shang Family always had the most drama.
Everyone thought the old lady from the Shang Family would learn her lesson after what happened with Shang Ke, but surprisingly, she gave up on Shang Ke and set her sights on her grandson instead.
Yina Yin was surprised and asked, "Sam?"
Sam Shang answered awkwardly, "It's not as dramatic as you guys think. My grandma... she just suddenly got obsessed, called me over and said I absolutely can't be like my dad—dating for ten years without any results, stuff like that. She even asked if I liked any girls, really hinting I should bring someone home soon. When I said no, she got a little anxious, saying Miles is about to get married and I’m still not worried, so she wants to set me up with someone."
After Sam finished, everyone looked at each other, not sure what to say.
Just then, Ethan Yin caught up and overheard Sam Shang’s words. He said, "Your grandma probably got traumatized once and now she’s super cautious. I’ve heard about what happened between Uncle Shang and Auntie. If Zeke were here, this topic would be a lot more awkward."
Yina Yin nodded. "I’ve heard about what happened back then too. Sigh, Zeke’s been dragged into the lab by my godfather for days now. Poor guy, he can’t even come out for cherry picking!"
"So you all know about it," Sam Shang sighed. "Can you help talk to my grandma? I mean, I'm still so young and she's already setting me up for blind dates—it's just too much."
Yina Yin quickly waved her hand. "Your grandma? I wouldn’t dare mess with her."
Miles Gu said, "Don’t worry, your grandma probably just got the idea out of nowhere. She won’t really force you into blind dates."
Ryan King kept his arm around Sam Shang’s shoulder and grinned, "No worries, just run away from the wedding when the time comes. There’s so many of us, you think we wouldn’t help you out?"
Jason Jiang said helplessly, "Ryan, stop causing trouble."
"How am I causing trouble?" Ryan King replied. "I’m just looking out for him."
"Alright, enough. We’re almost at the top," Ethan Yin interrupted, turning to Sam Shang. "Don’t worry, bro, I won’t just stand by and do nothing. Your grandma will listen to my parents’ advice."
Sam Shang finally relaxed and looked at Ethan Yin gratefully. "Thanks, bro."
Cherry Miller overheard their conversation and thought to herself, even the heirs of rich families have their own troubles!
When they reached the top, they saw a house built with steel beams and covered with huge glass panels. The view was totally unobstructed and it kept out the wind and rain. It really was a great spot for a picnic.
James Jiang lost track of Ruby Jiang, who ran over to Ethan Yin with a shy look. "Ethan, don’t be polite here! If you need anything, just ask."
Ethan Yin glanced at her and responded with a cool "Mm," then ignored her.
Ruby Jiang wanted to say more, but Quentin Sheng quietly stepped in and separated them.
"What are you doing?" Ruby Jiang complained, staring at Quentin Sheng.
Quentin Sheng replied calmly, "My young master doesn’t like strong perfume. It messes with his sense of smell."
Ruby Jiang’s face turned pale. "You..."
Cherry Miller couldn’t help but laugh from the sidelines, quickly turning her head away.
Ethan Yin was basically a walking mosquito magnet. No matter how old he got or where he went, there was always a flock of women buzzing around him like mosquitoes, just asking for trouble.
James Jiang came over at that moment and quickly called out, "Everyone, please have a seat. I’ve already told the workers to clear the area, so in ten minutes we can start picking cherries. We’ll have a picnic on the hilltop at noon—I’ve asked for fresh beef bone stew and some barbecue. We can grill and eat at the same time."
Miles Gu smiled and said, "Thank you, Mr. Jiang, for all the arrangements. We’ve brought some ready-to-eat food too, so let’s not stand on ceremony. You don’t need to be polite with us either, Mr. Jiang."
While they chatted, the bodyguards and assistants Miles Gu and Ethan Yin brought along had already set up the tables, covered them with beautiful tablecloths, and arranged the vases and plates.
A wide variety of snacks were placed on the table, one by one.
Cherry Miller couldn’t resist taking out her phone for a photo—snacks on the table, cherry trees bursting with fruit in the background. She posted it to her Moments.
Soon, Tang De liked and commented: "Where is this? So beautiful! I’d love to experience it myself."
Cherry Miller didn’t reply to Tang De’s comment, just calmly turned off her phone.
The cherry picking began.
Everyone grabbed a small basket and headed into the cherry grove, picking their favorite cherries.
The cherry trees on the hill weren’t tall, so even though Cherry Miller was short, she could reach the lower branches.

After checking a few trees, Cherry Miller tiptoed, trying to pick the prettiest bunch up high.
Before she could reach it, Ethan Yin easily picked it and dropped it into Cherry Miller’s basket.
"Thank you," Cherry Miller said to Ethan Yin.
"If you pick like that, you’ll never get the best fruit," Ethan Yin said, glancing at Cherry Miller’s haul. "How about this—I’ll pick, you catch."
"Uh..." Cherry Miller started to refuse.
Ethan Yin quickly added, "We’re just picking for fun anyway. I’m too lazy to carry the basket, so you hold it for me."
"Alright," Cherry Miller couldn’t say no, so she followed Ethan Yin and took the fresh cherries he picked.
The two of them—one picking, one catching—looked like a picture to anyone watching.
But to Ruby Jiang, it was just heartbreaking!
Ruby Jiang’s eyes darted around. While Ethan Yin wasn’t paying attention, she quietly walked up to Cherry Miller and whispered, "Your basket’s full. Go swap it out, or you won’t be able to carry it soon."
Cherry Miller looked down and saw her basket really was full.
