Chapter 1011: The Rotten Flower

Leon found himself puzzled by the scene before him. Mud Lizards, usually solitary despite their tendency to gather, were now hell-bent on wiping out the Henry Family, regardless of the cost. For Mud Lizards, this was a losing trade—the flesh on those Henry Family mages wasn’t enough to whet a Mud Lizard’s appetite, let alone make the effort worthwhile...

Yet now, they attacked like lunatics, and Leon couldn’t help but let a faint smile slip.

These poor bastards were truly out of luck. Besieged by six Mud Lizards, it was clear they wouldn’t last much longer. Six pseudo Sky Rank Mud Lizards, dead set on killing them—it was only a matter of time. If they lasted a day, that would be impressive. Two days? Total annihilation, guaranteed.

Guided by his connection to the specter, Leon led his group toward the direction of the Henry Family.

The Henry Family’s path was roughly the same as theirs—both heading toward the source of the Mana Crystal resonance. The direction was different, but the distance wasn’t too far.

With Flight cast, it took Leon only three hours to reach the battlefield.

Landing on a distant mountain peak, Leon gazed at the nearby valley from afar, unable to suppress a smirk.

The Henry Family was in dire straits. The valley they’d chosen was a good spot: narrow at the entrance, spacious inside—great for defense. The peaks flanking the valley were tall, but made of smooth stone. Normally, climbing over would be easy, but now? Not a chance.

Six Mud Lizards, each over a hundred meters long, blocked the valley entrance. Four of them were casting spells like mad, while two sprawled on the valley sides, seemingly ready to climb in at any moment.
