Cici herself didn't even realize that when she said those words, there was a trace of pleading in her eyes, gently striking at the depths of Charles Yin's heart.
Charles Yin's gaze instantly darkened.
"Are you begging me?" Charles Yin's voice was low and husky, even more tempting than before.
Almost no one could resist Charles Yin's magnetic voice at this moment.
Cici's eyes flickered, and after three seconds, she gritted her teeth and said, "Yes, I'm begging you. Please let me take my children with me."
Charles Yin gave a slight smile: "Hmm, it's not impossible..."
Cici's eyes lit up instantly!
"But..." The moment Charles Yin said 'but,' the sparkle in Cici's eyes immediately faded.
Looking at Cici's expectant gaze, Charles Yin smiled gently: "It depends on your performance tonight. This bottle of Romanée-Conti has been waiting for its soulmate. Now let's see if you, as its soulmate, truly understand it or not."
Cici instantly understood.
As long as she enjoyed herself tonight, everything would be fine.
But if she didn't, then it would be a problem!
Cici picked up her wine glass, ready to down it all in one go!
Long, slender fingers gently pressed down on the back of her hand: "My Romanée-Conti isn't meant to be drunk like that! I don't like forcing people. If you're thinking of this as a transaction, then you're not this wine's soulmate."
Cici's face flushed bright red at his words!
Suddenly, she felt so embarrassed—what should she do?
She'd actually judged a gentleman with a petty mind!
She even thought Charles Yin was trying to get her drunk on purpose!
Honestly, she regretted it too, okay?
Such fine wine—chugging it would really be a waste, okay?
She might not be an aristocrat, but she knew that good wine deserved to be savored, okay?
She felt his warmth on the back of her hand, a sensation that reached straight to her heart.
Cici lowered her gaze and apologized sincerely, "Sorry, I was being reckless!"
"It's fine. We have plenty of time." Charles Yin withdrew his fingers, still carrying her warmth and softness—it was hard to let go.
The assistants hiding in the shadows silently gave a thumbs up to the President!
Wow, now that's how you woo a woman!
No, wait—that's how you chase your wife!
He was clearly trying to get his own wife drunk, but could still say things that made her let down her guard and feel embarrassed!
Honestly, besides the President, who else could pull this off?
Dinner lasted over two hours.
The bottle of Romanée-Conti was finished.
Cici checked the time and exclaimed, "Oh, it's already past eight. I should head home."
Cici was just about to stand up and say goodbye, but she moved too quickly and felt a wave of dizziness.
"Are you okay?" The man across from her was suddenly by her side, asking with concern.
"Hmm? I'm fine..." Cici's eyes were a little hazy as she shook her head and said, "I'm not very good at drinking..."
Cici's hazy gaze made Charles Yin's stomach tighten.
She was just too tempting...
After saying that, Cici felt her head grow heavier.
Her body went limp, and she couldn't help but lean against a solid chest.
"S-sorry... I'm a bit dizzy..." Cici tried to stand, but accidentally touched the skin of the man's chest.
The spot where their skin touched sent a burning sensation from her fingertips all through her body.
Startled, Cici quickly pulled her hand back, but that only made her even more unsteady.
Her world spun, and she could only lean weakly against his chest.
A pair of big hands firmly supported her waist, giving her all the support she needed.
"You're drunk. Let me take you to rest." Charles Yin's husky voice sounded above her head.
Drunk... was she really drunk?
Cici couldn't shake the feeling that the scent at the tip of her nose was familiar.
It felt like, long ago, there was a man by her side with this same scent...
But she just couldn't remember who he was...
Cici's forehead rested against his chest, and she could clearly hear his heartbeat.
Wow, his heart was beating so fast...
"Are you... drunk too?" Cici looked up at him, her gaze both clear and hazy, hazy and clear.
Cici's eyes landed on Charles Yin's soft, thin lips, and she couldn't help but reach out to gently touch them: "Such... beautiful lips... Hmm, I wonder what it'd feel like to kiss them..."
The corners of his mouth curled up slightly: "Want to try?"
Hmm, try it...
Try it, then!
Cici slowly stood on tiptoe, reaching up to wrap her arms around his neck, pulling him down.
Those rosy lips were right in front of her, getting closer and closer...
Cici tried her best to stand on tiptoe, wanting to get closer.
But he was just too tall!
"So annoying, you're so tall! How am I supposed to reach you?" Cici pouted, looking at those slightly upturned lips, and couldn't help but lick her own.
She gave him a hard push, and he cooperatively sat down in the chair.
Cici immediately straddled his lap.
Now, she could finally look him in the eye!
This height was just right!
"You're really good-looking..." Cici couldn't help but mumble, "You're the most handsome man I've ever seen."
That line instantly pleased him.
"Really? As long as you like it." Charles Yin's voice was deep as he gazed at her, "So, do you still want to kiss me?"
"Kiss? ...Oh, right, I do want to try kissing you!" Cici finally remembered what she was supposed to do.
Her fingers gently brushed over those perfect lips—they felt amazing!
Hmm, kissing must feel even better, right?
Cici slowly... slowly lowered her head, her eyes locked onto those irresistibly tempting lips, inching closer...
Charles Yin just sat there, his hands steadying her, making sure she wouldn't fall.
He watched as the tipsy little mole started acting bold with him.
Cici's eyes were locked on his lips, but wasn't he doing the same to hers?
Cici's face got closer and closer, and...

She carried a unique orchid fragrance that filled the air.
Charles Yin's whole body froze.
He had waited for this moment—for three years...
