Are You Cherry Miller

1/4/2026

When Cherry Miller appeared, the crowd instantly erupted in excitement.

Many people here had never had the privilege of meeting Cherry Miller before. With such a rare opportunity today, how could they let it slip by? One after another, they crowded forward to greet her.

Although Cherry Miller found it all rather tiresome, she wasn't rude enough to ignore everyone. So she nodded politely to each greeting.

After a short while, Cherry Miller was surrounded by a crowd.

Cherry Miller was squeezed out of the crowd, pushed all the way into a corner.

Cherry almost laughed out loud in disbelief.

She had never seen anything like this before!

They actually pushed out someone else's chief assistant—was this really something normal people did?

Just as Cherry was about to seize a chance to return to Cherry Miller's side, someone walked up to her and asked, "Excuse me, are you Miss Cherry Miller?"

"That's me," Cherry Miller replied with a polite smile.

"My young lady heard you were here, Miss Cherry, and insisted I invite you over to talk. Please, this way." The person spoke with an air of authority, not caring whether Cherry wanted to go or not. "Don't make my young lady wait too long."

Cherry curled her lips—this Miss Li was certainly self-assured and a bit arrogant!

But that was fine.

She had come today specifically to see what kind of tricks Miss Li was planning, so she nodded and said, "Alright, lead the way."

The person showed no courtesy at all, walking straight ahead and even glancing back impatiently when Cherry lagged behind.

Cherry followed gracefully up to the second floor. From a distance, she could already hear laughter and chatter coming from one of the rooms.

Sure enough, the person led Cherry to the doorway of that room and announced, "Miss, Cherry is here."

With that, the person left.

Cherry walked elegantly into the room. Looking up, she saw four young women sitting inside, one of whom was eyeing her with curiosity and disdain.

"Hello, ladies. I'm Cherry Miller. May I ask which of you invited me over?" Cherry Miller asked calmly and confidently.

"So you're Cherry Miller." A woman in a white dress looked Cherry Miller up and down critically and said, "Honestly, you're not much to look at!"

Cherry Miller smiled without saying a word.

"I still don't get what Derek Tang saw in her," another girl said. "She's just a housekeeper—why would Miss Li invite her to your birthday party?"

The woman in the white dress—Miss Li—snorted and said, "Oh please, don't say that. She used to be a chief assistant, you know. She only lost her job for breaking the rules! It's my birthday today, so let's keep things peaceful and not cause trouble."

Miss Li kept insisting there shouldn't be any drama, but her tone was clearly looking for trouble.

Cherry Miller instantly understood why Miss Li had invited her.

How childish.

"If there's nothing else, I'll be heading out," Cherry Miller said calmly. "Happy birthday, Miss Li."

"Hey, don't leave so soon! You're already here, so have a seat!" Miss Li lifted her chin arrogantly. "What, are you afraid to sit down?"

"Since Miss Li invited me, why would I be afraid?" Cherry Miller sat down across from her, meeting her eyes without flinching. "We barely know each other, but since it's your birthday, you can ask me a few questions. I'll answer honestly."

The others exchanged awkward glances, unsure what to say.

"You went to all this trouble to invite me, isn't it just to ask questions?" Cherry Miller said, making it clear she didn't mind. "I don't like to hide things, so ask whatever you want. As long as I can answer, I'll tell you everything. For example, about Mr. Tang—there's nothing between us. We've only met three times and had two meals together. If that's enough to make a fuss, I'm honestly confused: Is business dining not allowed anymore? Or does Miss Li's family forbid business lunches?"

Cherry Miller's bluntness left Miss Li and her three friends stunned.

After a long pause, Friend A couldn't help but speak up: "I heard Miss Miller is a housekeeper now, so you must be good at serving people, right?"

Cherry Miller smiled at Friend A. "And you are? What line of work is your family in?"

Friend A straightened up proudly. "My dad's in construction. A third of the city's real estate uses equipment supplied by him!"

Cherry Miller nodded gently. "So your family supplies equipment. With all those bars and rods, no wonder you're so proud—you must be great at 'raising the bar.'"

Friend A: "..."

Friend B stepped forward. "You say there's nothing between you and Derek Tang, but do you have any proof?"

Cherry Miller kept smiling at Friend B. "May I ask your name, miss?"
