"Supreme Emperor?"
Quinn Shepherd's heart stirred. He looked ahead and saw towering Creators in snow-white robes appearing in a vast, desolate expanse of spacetime.
There, a colossal lotus-shaped landmass stretched far and wide, separated from Quinn and the others by a bottomless chasm of void, the depths invisible.
Many Creators stood suspended in the void, not touching the ground. Some had enormous lotus flowers blooming beneath their feet, the radiance from the petals illuminating their white robes and making them appear supremely holy.
Some had golden wings growing from their backs, their divine sense visualizing them as bird-headed, human-bodied beings with taloned feet.
Some stood astride twin dragons, their bodies wreathed in flowing flames.
Some were entwined by long rivers, water coiling around their bodies—the rivers snakelike, yet ever-changing.
Some had long chains spiraling from their brows, twisting through the sky.
Some had star-rivers surging from their brows, with actual stars flowing out from their foreheads.
Yet all of this was frozen in place. Every Creator was locked in their final posture, unmoving as if caught at the moment of death.
But what they couldn't understand was why Supreme Emperor Julius would come to blows with the Creators in this place.
This is the place.
The little point of light that was Yue Tingge chuckled, “This is where I lured Flame-Venerable and Venerable Void, got them killed...”
How could Flame-Venerable and Venerable Void possibly die here?
Quinn Shepherd couldn't help but laugh, glancing around. Suddenly, his heart trembled—he really did see Flame-Venerable!
Flame-Venerable was right there, in the strange battlefield ahead, not far from Supreme Emperor Julius’s brow—he couldn’t possibly mistake him.
He’d known Flame-Venerable for years—the man always wore clothes patterned with flames, and most distinct of all, a blazing halo of fire behind his head!
Now, Flame-Venerable was just like the Creators and Supreme Emperor Julius—frozen in that bizarre space-time, unable to move, as if already dead.
He was a Heavenly Venerable, after all, incredibly powerful—he hadn’t been reduced to a mere point of light. His body still held the posture of striding forward.
Could even a Heavenly Venerable of the Heavenly Court realm be killed by this place?
Quinn Shepherd’s heart raced, but he steadied himself and searched all around for Venerable Void—yet he couldn’t find him.
He was taken aback—Yue Tingge had clearly said he’d lured both Heavenly Venerables here to die, so why did he see only Flame-Venerable and not Venerable Void?
Just then, he noticed something strange—Flame-Venerable was actually moving!
But compared to Quinn Shepherd and the others, Flame-Venerable’s movement was unbelievably slow—so slow it was almost maddening.
Yue Tingge and the others had already been transformed into tiny points of light by the strangeness here, but Quinn Shepherd still retained his third eye, untouched. That divine eye was incredibly perceptive—even the smallest changes didn’t escape him!
He noticed the flame patterns around Flame-Venerable—within them, incredibly subtle fire runes were shifting and changing, though at an extremely slow pace.
This meant Flame-Venerable was altering the runes protecting his body!
In other words, Flame-Venerable hadn’t died here.
Quinn Shepherd calculated that, judging by the speed at which Flame-Venerable’s runes shifted and his movement, it would take at least 256 years for him to complete a single divine art!
Flame-Venerable is flying toward Supreme Emperor Julius’s brow—could something there be drawing him in?
At that thought, Quinn Shepherd gathered all his divine sense, activated the Taichu Primal Stone, and drew on every bit of his yuanqi and divine sense to form the Three Enclosures Divine Sense.
Boom!
His third eye grew even brighter, nearly omniscient—he could see every single fire rune on Flame-Venerable!
He looked into the hole at Supreme Emperor Julius’s brow—there was no Taichu Primal Stone, only a diamond-shaped wound, from which blazing light poured forth.
The light was so intense that, faintly, he could see a figure sitting in Supreme Emperor Julius’s brow!
Quinn Shepherd’s heart stirred; suddenly, his yuanqi swept up the point of light that was Shu Jun. Shu Jun was startled, and in the next instant Quinn stuffed him into his third eye, onto the altar inside the Taichu Primal Stone.
“Shu Jun, lend me all your divine sense—let me see who’s really inside Supreme Emperor Julius’s brow!”
Quinn Shepherd’s voice echoed, and Shu Jun was shocked, blurting out, “There’s someone in Supreme Emperor Julius’s brow?”
He instantly decided to lend his divine sense to Quinn Shepherd. Quinn’s divine sense surged, his third eye’s power increased again, and his vision became a beam that shot for ten thousand miles, illuminating Supreme Emperor Julius’s brow.
That beam of sight pierced through layer after layer of blazing light, going deeper and deeper, gradually approaching the figure ahead.
“Shu Jun, give me even more divine sense!” Quinn Shepherd felt his strength failing and shouted urgently.
Shu Jun hesitated—he hadn’t given Quinn Shepherd all his divine sense before, since he didn’t fully trust him and held some back.
“Just lend it to me, and I’ll help you regrow one ear!” Quinn Shepherd’s voice echoed.
Shu Jun snorted, “I want both ears!”
“Deal!” Quinn Shepherd replied decisively.
Seeing how quickly Quinn Shepherd agreed, Shu Jun couldn’t help but regret it—“If I’d asked for a tongue too, I bet he’d have said yes...”
Still, he stirred up his remaining divine sense and lent it to Quinn Shepherd.
Quinn Shepherd’s third eye shone even brighter, piercing the last layer of light and illuminating the unmoving figure seated in Supreme Emperor Julius’s brow.
Suddenly, Quinn Shepherd was shaken to his core—his vision scattered and retreated on its own.
A torrent of divine sense and yuanqi crashed into his mind, leaving him dazed and his blood and energy in turmoil.
Shu Jun quickly withdrew his divine sense: “Kid, you promised to restore both my ears—you can’t back out! By the way, what did you see?”
Quinn Shepherd steadied himself and murmured, “Cloud-Venerable... I saw Cloud-Venerable!”
Shu Jun had no idea who Cloud-Venerable was, but Quinn Shepherd was in turmoil—he was certain the unmoving figure he saw in Supreme Emperor Julius’s brow was Cloud-Venerable!
He’d seen Cloud-Venerable before at the Jade Pool Grand Assembly—a strikingly handsome youth. Though the figure seated in Supreme Emperor Julius’s brow was now a middle-aged man with imperial bearing, his youthful grace still shone through!
It was definitely Cloud-Venerable—there was no doubt!
He was still confused—why was Cloud-Venerable’s physical body there? That’s right, Cloud-Venerable left him an altar, and on it was the Supreme Emperor Seal—the personal treasure of Supreme Emperor Julius!
He immediately took out the Supreme Emperor Seal. It flew from his third eye, and as soon as it appeared here, the treasure seemed to resonate with the powers of this place, unleashing a terrifying force!
Boom—
Thousands of divine lights erupted from the Grand Void Land, wildly surging into the Supreme Emperor Seal. The twisted energies shook space and time, instantly snapping Quinn Shepherd out of his point-of-light state!
He regained his physical body, and soon everyone else did too, staring in shock at the treasure floating in the air.
