Blackfire Tears Open Space

After securing Moria Lane on his back, Joe Di gazed at the Dao Fire flickering on his wrist.

Although he had already sent out a message, regrettably, the Dao Fire could offer him no guidance on which direction to take.

Joe Di knew there must still be treasures hidden within the Skyveil Pit, but right now, he had no intention of lingering. Moria Lane was gravely wounded and needed urgent treatment.

At this moment, his divine sense had advanced to the third stage of Immortal Sense, allowing him to perceive a thousand-zhang radius. Unfortunately, in this place, there was no difference between a thousand and a hundred zhang—everything was equally obscure.

Joe Di extended his divine sense into the True Spirit Realm. After Sprout absorbed the Celestial Crystal recently, his cultivation had improved rapidly—he was now a ninth-rank tree fiend, while Blackfire had become a tenth-rank, fully matured fiend insect. At this moment, Blackfire was watching Sprout refine a pill, occasionally offering pointers.

Even though Blackfire’s advice was sometimes incoherent, Sprout had no choice but to listen—after all, the flames he was using now truly belonged to Blackfire.

Blackfire had lent his flames to Sprout, with the clear expectation that Sprout would heed his guidance.

Joe Di knew Blackfire wasn’t capable of refining pills, so he simply summoned both Sprout and Blackfire out.

“Big brother, I can already refine seventh-grade King Pills!” Sprout announced loudly as soon as he emerged, eager to prove he hadn’t let Joe Di down.

Blackfire sneered from the side. “This is already the Immortal Realm—what use do you have for seventh-grade pills meant for the cultivation world? Hmph, there’s a trace of Celestial Fire Spirit here…”

Blackfire was acutely sensitive to flames, and immediately sensed the presence of the Celestial Fire Spirit.

"The Celestial Fire Spirit was used by the Dao Fire for Nirvana—you have no hope now," Joe Di struck a blow at Blackfire without hesitation. Then, stopping Sprout from retorting, he said, "I'm trapped in this Skyveil Pit right now, and there's no way out. Do either of you have a solution?"

Sprout swept his Divine Sense around, soon wearing a bitter expression. "The same aura is everywhere—I can't find any direction."

Blackfire sniffed around, then said, "Big Brother, I do have a way, but my cultivation is too low. If I could break through to the Immortal Fiend rank, I could tear open the void here..."

Joe Di stared at Blackfire in shock for a long while before daring to ask, "Blackfire, are you saying you can tear open the void?"

Blackfire turned his gaze with pride. "Of course! I am..."

"Smack!" Sprout extended a twig and tapped Blackfire on the head. Blackfire immediately turned to glare at Sprout, "What are you doing?"

If he hadn't been so pleased with himself just now, that little tree root wouldn't have managed to hit him with a branch.

"Is that how you speak to Big Brother?" Sprout said with righteous indignation.

Blackfire seemed to realize he had been too arrogant and quickly said, "Big Brother, I didn't mean it like that."
