Right now, Ryan Ling is completely off his rocker—he’s gone full berserk mode, not caring about anything. The second he stepped into Heaven City, he was already ready to throw down, no matter what. He knew it’d be brutal, way harder than he could even imagine, but he didn’t care. He was dead set on fighting to the end, no matter how insane it got.
So at this moment, as he charged into Heaven City, Ryan Ling tossed everything else out the window. He knew all he could do was keep charging forward, eyes locked on the goal, ignoring everything else. Only by going all-out could he get anywhere—hesitate for a second and he’d be toast.
Even when the Three Graves Brothers teamed up to attack, Ryan didn’t back down an inch. Honestly, even his own goal freaked him out: he wanted to swallow all of Heaven City’s essence in one gulp. Only that way could he grab the ultimate power and win for real.
Obviously, this was a crazy risky move—he could get shredded by those guys any second. And right now, the Three Graves Brothers hadn’t even shown up in the flesh yet. If they did, things would get seriously gnarly. Ryan could feel their power surging to late-stage Immortal Emperor level, way beyond anything Victor Guo could pull off. Heck, even a hundred Victors wouldn’t match a single one of his big brothers.
Even though the brothers hadn’t revealed their true bodies yet, Ryan could sense them getting ready to move. Not only was their real power terrifying, they were also brewing some next-level attack. Whatever it was, it was so insane that even Ryan felt chills—way beyond anything he’d ever imagined. And it was growing by the second, ready to explode at any moment.
No doubt about it, those three were cooking up some monster technique. If they pulled it off, even if Ryan had Heaven City locked down, he’d get wiped out in a flash. So every single second counted—he had to absorb all of Heaven City’s power into himself, max out his own strength, and hit Immortal Emperor today, no matter what. This was the wildest breakthrough he’d ever tried, a total rollercoaster. But hey, he’d come this far, no way he was backing down now. He’d fix everything else later!
Right now, this was a golden opportunity for Ryan Ling. The Three Graves Brothers wanted him dead, but they needed time to set up their big move. While they were busy brewing that killer technique, Ryan had his chance. If he could just get a few minutes, maybe he could swallow all of Heaven City’s essence!
"Devour, devour!" Ryan Ling wasn’t hesitating for a second—he was straight-up howling as he sucked in Heaven City’s energy at top speed. Heaven City was like a giant treasure chest, packed with who knows how many goodies, all condensed into one massive core. If Ryan could absorb it all, he might just leap straight to Immortal Emperor.
Ryan Ling knew he didn’t have much time. He could feel the Three Graves Brothers going all-out, racing against the clock. The whole vibe was do-or-die, and Ryan figured he had maybe three or five minutes, tops. If he missed this window, he was screwed.
In a flash, as Ryan Ling crazily devoured Heaven City’s essence, he geared up for his Immortal Emperor breakthrough. But time was running out fast—every second mattered. Just when he was about to push through, he realized he couldn’t do it. Somehow, his power was locked right between Immortal Lord and Immortal Emperor, totally stuck. He couldn’t break through even half a step!
"What the hell?" Ryan Ling froze, totally thrown off. His heart was pounding—he’d been following his plan to the letter, and everything should’ve gone smoothly. But this? He never saw it coming. He was seriously freaking out.
But Ryan Ling didn’t get to where he is by luck—he’s got nerves of steel. He instantly launched a second breakthrough attempt. The fortune he’d grabbed was massive, and his strength was already at Immortal Lord great-perfection, just a hair away from Immortal Emperor.
He’d thought that last step would be easy, but now he saw just how brutal it really was. Ryan roared and let his power explode, flooding his body. The whole battlefield warped—anyone watching would’ve gasped. No one in the Immortal World could casually unleash a force like this. But even after hitting that insane level, Ryan still failed!
This time, he crashed and burned—completely wiped out, no defense at all. Some freakish force slammed him back, and for a second, he was ready to fall apart.
"No way, absolutely not!" Ryan Ling knew better than anyone—he was almost out of time. If he didn’t seize this chance, he was done for.
Without hesitating, Ryan Ling went for a third breakthrough. He poured every drop of power into it. He knew, if he failed now, there’d be no coming back—he’d be dead and gone. So he went all-in, his whole body shaking like crazy. A storm of energy gathered above his head, swirling into a massive vortex with Ryan right at the center. He cranked everything up to the absolute max—if he couldn’t break through this time, he was toast.
The survivors nearby just watched, jaws on the floor. Nobody could believe Ryan Ling was stacking up this much raw power—it was off the charts!
All around him, city walls, trenches, even houses were obliterated in seconds. The scene was absolutely wild. But even after going this far, even after unleashing everything, Ryan still couldn’t break through to Immortal Emperor. Every time he got close, some mysterious force yanked him back—so strong he couldn’t fight it. And with each failed pull, his strength drained away bit by bit.
A few minutes later, Ryan Ling knew he’d hit a dead end. He couldn’t break through, couldn’t reach Immortal Emperor, and now the Three Graves Brothers’ killer technique was about to go off. If he didn’t make it now, he was as good as dead.
"No way!" Ryan Ling couldn’t help but yell out. He had to break through, or he was dead meat. But no matter how hard he pushed, he just couldn’t take another step.
It was like a mountain stood in his way—no matter how much power Ryan Ling threw at it, he couldn’t break through, couldn’t get past.
Right then, with a deafening boom, the Three Graves Brothers finally emerged. Their true bodies appeared, radiating insane power. Ryan Ling was hit with crushing pressure—his whole body felt like it was about to crack open. It hurt so bad he wanted to scream. All his defenses were gone, pain maxed out, and his legs were shaking so hard he nearly collapsed!
Things just kept getting worse. Ryan Ling was on the edge of total breakdown, and the three Immortal Emperors didn’t hold back—they unleashed the wildest attack he’d ever faced. The world around him shattered, space collapsed, and even Ryan’s own body started falling apart. He’d burned through all his power in those three crazy breakthrough attempts and had nothing left. He couldn’t fight back at all—he was just waiting to get wrecked.
"No way, how could someone that strong just collapse like that? What the heck did he go through?"
"Seriously, how did things get so wild? There’s no way this should be happening. That kid’s power is legit—he’s crazy strong. Even against top experts, he should be able to hold his own, not fall apart in seconds."
"Yeah, it’s nuts. But facts are facts—he’s done for. Looks like the Three Graves Brothers are just too strong. Together, they’re probably at peak Immortal Emperor, and nobody can match that!"
Seeing this, the surviving experts all started murmuring. They knew Ryan Ling was a monster, but now he was getting steamrolled. He was supposed to be able to hold out, but instead he collapsed like a house of cards, his body exploding in midair. Everyone was stunned—Ryan was flipping through the air, his aura fading fast, and it looked like his flesh was about to be torn to shreds!
Meanwhile, the Three Graves Brothers were going ballistic, cursing and venting all their rage. Ryan Ling killed their little brother, so they wanted to rip him apart, no mercy. Their attacks were brutal and relentless—Ryan had no idea how many punches and kicks he took, totally powerless to fight back.
Right then, the Three Graves Brothers started charging up their deadliest attack yet. If that hit, Ryan Ling would be wiped off the map—no chance of surviving.
Seeing this, Ryan Ling broke out in a cold sweat. He knew the only move was to run—and he had to keep his body intact. If they destroyed his physical form, he was done for.
Ryan scanned the area and realized there was only one way out: dive underground. As long as he had Primeval Heavenwood shielding him, and stuck to the Heavenwood Roots, maybe he’d have a shot at surviving. Otherwise, he was toast.
"Screw this, run!" Ryan Ling shouted, voice raw and desperate. He hadn’t expected things to turn out this bad, but there was no time to dwell—he had to get underground, and fast. His window was closing!
"Trying to run? Even if you flee to the ends of the earth, I’ll drag you back!" one of the Three Graves Brothers roared—the oldest, and the nastiest. His shout unleashed three waves of crushing force, shaking the world and blotting out the sun. Everything was under their control now—this was what real power looked like.
Ryan Ling tried to bolt, but a surge of power grabbed his legs, locking him in place. Still, he was a top-tier fighter—even bound tight, he couldn’t be taken down that easily. Ryan roared and fought back with everything he had, channeling Primeval Heavenwood’s root power. No matter how strong the enemy, they couldn’t pin him down in one go!
"Charge! Charge! Charge!" Ryan Ling screamed like never before, finally breaking free of the Immortal Emperor grip and escaping!
The instant he got loose, Ryan Ling didn’t hesitate—he shot straight down, following Primeval Heavenwood’s roots, drilling deep into the earth. The Three Graves Brothers weren’t about to let him go that easy, though. Waves of power crashed after him, trying to yank him back!
With all that pulling and dragging, Ryan Ling felt like his whole body was about to get ripped in half. The pain was off the charts.
If Ryan Ling didn’t act fast, he’d be dragged to death for sure. He let out a roar like never before, and Primeval Heavenwood beside him maxed out its power. The roots had already punched through all of Heaven City’s underground, and with their help, Ryan finally broke free—he shot out, feeling a huge weight lift off his shoulders. But he knew this win wouldn’t last; those three monsters weren’t giving him a break. Sure enough, an even stronger force crashed in, surrounding him again. This time, though, Ryan was deep inside Primeval Heavenwood’s roots, protected and moving crazy fast. He zipped hundreds of miles in an instant—even as the surface roots got shredded, he kept going. After tunneling thousands of miles down, he finally felt a bit of relief. The pressure above was intense, but he could still hold on. That escape left him totally drained, though. He was so close to Immortal Emperor, but now, after burning all his power, his body was empty—like he could snap in half any second.
Ryan Ling took a long, shaky breath. He’d barely scraped by, and he knew it. Still, he was deep in danger—if he didn’t figure something out, he was dead. Even hiding in the deepest roots, he couldn’t escape; even if he did, he’d just get killed anyway.
"What now?" Ryan Ling was totally lost. After all that, he was finally scared. Heaven City’s power was way beyond anything he’d imagined. Thinking he could swallow it all in one go had been pure wishful thinking, and he’d totally underestimated the Three Graves Brothers. Worst of all, he’d misjudged how hard breaking through to Immortal Emperor would be. Everything was way tougher than he’d thought—he’d had no choice but to gamble everything on a breakthrough!
"You brat, no matter where you run—even to the ends of the earth—we’ll slice you up! Just wait!" As soon as Ryan Ling caught his breath, a voice blasted down from above. He shivered; it was like a death sentence. He couldn’t move, and even with the huge roots shielding him, under this kind of pressure, they’d eventually get worn down too.
Ryan Ling knew he was still alive, but he probably wouldn’t last the night. If he wanted to survive, he needed a plan—fast.
Boom! Another massive blast shook his ears, so loud it was terrifying. Ryan Ling flinched, knowing his time was almost up. Even Primeval Heavenwood’s main trunk was cracking—like the whole divine tree could shatter any second!
No way—I’m not dying here! I’ve gotta find a way out!
Ryan Ling’s mind was spinning out of control—his survival instinct was off the charts…
