"Xin'er! I thought we were off to Mount Hua—so why are you suddenly making a detour?" Butterfly Rogue whined from horseback, looking like a peacock with ruffled feathers as he shot Ivy Shen a dramatic side-eye.
The other six were totally lost, faces full of cartoon question marks. This was definitely NOT the road to Mount Hua!
"I am going to Mount Hua! I just think this route is way better, okay?" Ivy Shen, rocking a pale green outfit and a casual hairdo, looked nothing like a dolled-up princess. But when the breeze hit, her long black hair did that slow-mo goddess thing—bam! Instant fairy vibes, lethal charm, no makeup required.
"Ugh, this road goes on forever! Why aren't we taking the shortcut?" Butterfly Rogue griped again, flopping around dramatically like he was auditioning for a soap opera.
"Seriously, Xin'er, this is dangerous! And wouldn't you be safer in guy clothes?" Ethan Chu huffed, glaring at every passerby who dared to ogle. His jealousy meter was off the charts!
"But I'm a girl!" Ivy Shen flashed a mischievous smile, loving every second of their flustered panic—so cute, she could pinch their cheeks!
"Yeah, but girls on horseback? Total safety hazard! And don't get me started on skirts—danger level: max!" Ethan Chu fired back, waving his hands like he was giving a TED Talk on travel disasters.
Ivy Shen raised an eyebrow. "Dude, I've got pants under my skirt! It's a double-layered defense system, okay?"
