Mysterious Celestia

"You don't recognize me?" Zoe Shen stared at Joe Di in disbelief. She simply couldn't accept that Joe Di didn't know her. But why was Joe Di speaking to her with such an attitude?

This woman was indeed Zoe Shen. Joe Di immediately realized, "Whatever relationship we had, that was in the past. After the divorce, we have nothing to do with each other. Why should I know you?"

Having a stranger barge into his room, Joe Di was already uncomfortable. Although he didn't have a bad impression of Zoe Shen, she had left his former self. In Joe Di's eyes, his past self was dumped by Zoe Shen after the divorce. Now, he and Zoe Shen were just strangers.

Zoe Shen looked calmly at Joe Di, her voice flat and emotionless. "True. You could kick me aside before, so it's natural you can pretend not to know me now. I was the one clinging to you. Celestia is about to fully open, and for now, the simplest way to enter is as a student in a university martial arts program recognized by the Earth Alliance. Northlake University has established a Martial Arts Academy. This is a certificate for entry. If you want to study martial arts at Northlake, you can use this to enroll."

After speaking, Zoe Shen placed a blue copper paper on the dusty table and turned to leave. She had wanted to say more to Joe Di, but his attitude left her with nothing else to say.

It wasn't until the sound of the door closing that Joe Di snapped out of it. Maybe it wasn't Zoe Shen who had dumped him after the divorce, but rather he who had dumped Zoe Shen.

Rubbing his forehead, Joe Di felt that maybe his past self wasn't so useless after all. Zoe Shen was such a beauty, and yet he was the one who ended things.

But what did it mean for Celestia to be fully open?

No matter what 'Celestia fully open' meant, after sleeping for a whole day, Joe Di felt extremely hungry. Fortunately, his body seemed fine now, with no lingering dizziness or weakness.

After tidying up his home and taking a quick shower, Joe Di finally went out to look for food.

Only when Joe Di walked onto the streets of Luojin City did he truly understand what Celestia was. At this moment, nearly everyone in Luojin was talking about two things: first, that Celestia was about to open; second, that Northlake University had established a martial arts program.

Listening and asking questions as he ate, Joe Di soon understood what these two things meant for everyone.

Celestia appeared five years ago, and almost immediately, most countries on Earth received definite news about it.

To be precise, Celestia is considered a planet in the solar system. As for how it came to be, no one knows. All that's known is that five years ago, an extra planet suddenly appeared in the solar system, and that planet was Celestia.

What excites people most isn't that the solar system suddenly gained a new planet, but two other things: first, Celestia is a life-bearing planet; second, it's incredibly close to Earth. To travel from Earth to Celestia, you just need to board a Quantum Spaceplane and fly for forty hours.

The Quantum Spaceplane technology was already a mature product of China before Celestia appeared in the solar system. It can traverse the atmosphere and travel at more than sixty times the speed of sound.

Celestia is called a life-bearing planet not because scientists compared data, but because even a fool stepping onto Celestia would know it. The place is filled with lush greenery and all kinds of strange, powerful beasts.

The size of Celestia cannot be estimated. Even though many scientists have landed on Celestia, they haven't been able to gather much information.

There are two things that Earth's scientists still can't understand: first, there's only one entrance to Celestia. Any attempt to enter from elsewhere results in being torn apart, no matter what material the craft is made of. Second, although Celestia is so close to Earth, it has no effect on the planet at all.

Moreover, only a small area within Celestia allows for flight. Outside of this space, no aircraft—including Quantum Spaceplanes—can fly. This rule was discovered over years, at the cost of countless scientists' and explorers' blood and lives.

Later, combining some graphic data found on Celestia, certain Chinese metaphysics scholars theorized that Celestia might be protected by a mysterious force, creating a barrier that shreds anything approaching its surface. This mysterious protection allows Celestia to orbit in the solar system while remaining independent from it. It might be some kind of protective array—though it sounds incredible, records of similar concepts have been unearthed in China's ancient cultural heritage.

Many brilliant scientists and explorers died trying to explore Celestia, but for Earth, it was worth it. The planet is home to countless rare plants, some of which can cure terminal illnesses with just a single specimen. According to those who reside on Celestia, simply living there—doing nothing—can make minor ailments vanish without reason. For this reason alone, Celestia is even more suitable for human life than Earth.

Likewise, there are countless fierce beasts on Celestia. Most who die on the planet are eaten by these savage creatures.

As Earth's pollution and destruction worsened and resources grew scarcer, the sudden appearance of Celestia became a savior for everyone. To protect Celestia, all nations formed the Earth Federation. The Federation's main rule is that no one entering Celestia may use any radioactive thermal weapons.

Initially, only students enrolled in university martial arts programs recognized by the Earth Federation could enter Celestia.

After Celestia opened, every university in the world wanted to establish a martial arts department. But in reality, it's not that simple. First, the university must apply to its own country, then report to the Earth Federation. Only after passing the Federation's inspection can a martial arts program be established.

Northlake University isn't considered a top university in China—not even first-rate. But the fact that Northlake could establish a martial arts program puts it ahead of many domestic universities.

One can imagine how many people from across the country and even the world would flock to Northlake University, hoping to enter the Martial Arts Academy.

Only now did Joe Di realize just how rare the martial arts enrollment certificate Zoe Shen gave him today really was.

Joe Di shook his head. He remembered Earth's martial arts, but compared to those of the Yalen Continent, they were worlds apart. Besides, his body still couldn't practice martial arts.

The first step in cultivating the Di Family Seven Blades is to sense the energy at the Shaoyang Guanchong point in the hand, but Joe Di couldn't sense any vital energy there at all.

Without sensing vital energy, it's impossible to practice martial arts. If you force it, no matter how many tonics you take, your body will soon collapse...

Just as Joe Di was thinking this, a faint trace of energy seeped into the Shaoyang Sanjiao Guanchong point in his hand. He suddenly stood up, but that trace of energy vanished without a trace.

Excited, Joe Di abruptly stood up and stared at the ring finger of his left hand. He had sensed vital energy—he had actually sensed it!

Since birth, he hadn't been able to cultivate. In a place like the Yalen Continent, not being able to cultivate meant you were a useless person. If he could, he'd rather give up his status as a Di family scion just to cultivate. Manna Zhen had left him simply because he lacked martial roots and couldn't practice.

If not for the fact that he once loved Manna Zhen to the bone, he would never have had the resolve to pursue medicine.

He never expected that, just when he was about to give up on martial arts, he could actually practice now.
