Chapter 804: Phantom Incarnation

But the Voidrend Blade itself was utterly incapable of withstanding such terrifying heat! Its magical structure had already been burned to the point of collapse!

It pierced through the giant palm, but within less than a meter beyond the back of the hand, the spell completely unraveled, dissolving into a cloud of pure magical elements.

Meanwhile, the rock giant's palm, ablaze with white-hot flames, slammed viciously toward the Bone Giant Hand conjured by Councilor Suville.

Its iron-like hardness, immense weight, and overwhelming force crashed into the Bone Giant Hand. The instant the two massive palms collided, a dreadful explosion echoed from between them.

The magical elements and air within were blasted apart by the sheer force of the impact.

The white-hot flames licked at the Bone Giant Hand, instantly reducing it to a heap of charred fragments.

After shattering the Bone Giant Hand, the flaming rock giant's palm—unleashing a storm of four elemental forces—pressed down mercilessly on Councilor Suville.

The spinning Bone Shield outside Suville's body tried to block the attack, but its surface was rapidly covered in terrifying cracks.

The bones blackened as if scorched by holy light, and in the blink of an eye, their defensive power plummeted by more than half.

A flicker of terror finally appeared in Suville's crazed eyes.

For the first time, he began to dodge—the white-hot flames contained a power that filled him with dread. He could even sense that as the flames appeared atop the giant palm, the surrounding death energy instinctively withdrew!

"Impossible! How could you possibly understand the power of Holy Light!"

Suville darted to the side at incredible speed, black mist surging around his body until he became semi-transparent—his speed doubling instantly.

In a blink, he reappeared dozens of meters away.

Ghostform—so this bastard really does know that spell!

A flash of realization crossed Leon's eyes, though his movements didn't slow in the slightest.

Without Suville's control, the Bone Shields were helpless against the white-hot flames. In barely a second, they were reduced to charred fragments of bone.

"Idiot. Didn't you know that besides Holy Light spells, fire magic is also devastating to the undead?"

Leon didn't bother explaining further. These white-hot flames were forcibly summoned from the Elemental Plane of Fire—Starfire, pure and terrifyingly hot. When forging Adamantine into magical artifacts, you need to melt the metal, and that's when Starfire comes into play.

Suville was completely unhinged now—his eyes held nothing but hatred, all reason lost. For a moment, he didn't even realize that this was the infamous Starfire.

Transformed into Ghostform, Suville blurred into a shadowy afterimage, moving with terrifying speed—even his necromantic spells grew more potent.

A downpour of bone spears, pale as death, rained from the sky toward Leon. At the tip of each Bone Spear, a streak of black light flickered—a rune inscribed at the very top.

That was a Nullification Rune; no magical shield could withstand it for even a second. The simplest solution was to use a Frost Shield, conjured from pure ice.

Leon dispelled his magical shield, conjuring four deep blue Frost Shields that spun rapidly around him, blocking every Bone Spear.

Leon stood his ground as the phantom of the Arcane Wheel behind him erupted with runes and spells. Yet Suville’s speed was simply too great—none of the spells could hit him.

The battle had devolved into a stalemate. Suville, a flickering afterimage, kept dodging and casting spells in relentless assault.

Leon remained motionless, continuously conjuring Frost Shields to defend, while launching waves of attack spells in return.

"Why isn't Merlin using wide-area spells? Why only single-target attacks? He'll never hit that monster this way!"

Elsa couldn't help but ask, but no one answered. Everyone was focused on the fight—not just her, but everyone was puzzled.

Gradually, Second Elder and a few other strong practitioners noticed that Leon had complete control over the battle's rhythm. Suville was like a beast trapped in a cage, constantly herded by Leon's spells toward a specific spot.

Every spell Leon cast was slightly stronger in one direction and weaker in another. Even the timing between spells seemed designed to let Suville dodge toward the weaker side.

After a dozen seconds, Leon slowly extended a finger and tapped gently forward.

At that moment, a barrage of pursuit spells surged in intensity—white-hot flames erupted on one side, while ice spikes, reinforced for piercing power, materialized on the other.

The two waves of spells closed in on Suville, who didn't hesitate to unleash the full version of Ghostform, turning himself into a phantom and darting through the field of ice spikes.

Ice spikes grazed Suville's body as he passed, but none harmed him. The complete Ghostform could resist all physical attacks.

The Voidrend Ice Spikes had their piercing power enhanced—all their force went into hardening the spikes, so even the freezing effect was barely noticeable.

Pierced by the ice spikes, Suville suffered only a faint chill—his speed slowed a bit, but he managed to break free from the spell's encirclement.

Damn that Merlin, does he think I can't see he's trying to trap me with spells? Fool. Anyone who knows Ghostform understands it nullifies physical damage. The full Ghostform negates all physical attacks, yet he still uses Voidrend Ice Spikes, pure physical force... Idiot...

A flash of smugness crossed Suville's eyes—but just as he burst free from the Voidrend Ice Spikes, his speed was noticeably reduced by the lingering chill.
