Dilemma, Jiangnan Has Changed

2/14/2026

The Valley Master was an impatient man. Before Serena Feng could finish, he spoke up first: "This case is fascinating. I'll take this patient, and none of you should fight me for it."

"This patient is related to my specialty, so I should be the one to treat him." Marcus Guile refused to back down, quickly speaking up to claim the privilege of treating the Lizardman.

As the most famous and powerful poison doctor in the Nine Provinces Realm, he would never let this patient slip away. If anyone dared to fight him for it, he'd poison them to death without hesitation...

Mess with anyone, but never mess with a doctor!

The Valley Master and Marcus Guile's reactions were perfectly normal.

As the most renowned doctors in the Nine Provinces Realm, their work now was nothing like ordinary physicians who spent their days treating minor wounds and colds in clinics. They were focused on research and exploration—they aimed to become legends in the medical world!

The Valley Master, Dr. Redwater, and Marcus Guile were the top figures in medicine. Their mission now was to develop new drugs, seek out rare medicinal herbs, cure diseases others couldn't, and treat illnesses never before recorded in medical texts—then leave those case records for future generations.

A case like the Lizardman’s was something you might not encounter in a hundred years. Missing it would be a lifelong regret.

Watching Marcus Guile and the Valley Master argue hotly, Dr. Redwater gritted his teeth, grabbed his junior, and glared murderously at the Valley Master: "None of you can fight me for this! If we’re taking turns, then it’s my turn. I don’t care—this patient is mine. Anyone who tries to steal him, I’ll poison them to death."

Mess with anyone, but never mess with a doctor! Serena Feng silently reminded herself.

Serena’s eyes filled with tears...

"I’m not dissatisfied, it’s just..." These three acted like they were giving her great authority, but really, they were just throwing her into a pit. No matter who she picked, the other two would accept it, but they wouldn’t let her off the hook.

"Just what?" The three pressed her together.

Serena bit her lip, suppressed her original idea, and said: "It’s just... this patient is one I found for Simon Sun. You know his skills rival yours, but he lacks experience. This is a perfect opportunity."

Let the disciple handle the tough job—Simon Sun, you’re going to have to take the blame for your master.

That settled it. Since the patient was Simon’s, the Valley Master wouldn’t fight him for it. Dr. Redwater and Marcus Guile also wouldn’t compete with a junior.

"We’ll assist Simon, how about that?" Unable to win, the three quickly changed their approach.

Serena nodded without hesitation: "Of course. But during treatment, you must follow Simon’s lead and not make things difficult for him."

She had originally planned to form a four-person team, but seeing their behavior, Serena knew she couldn’t control them. If they really formed a group, each would have their own idea and she’d have to coordinate.

Though Serena was interested in the Lizardman’s condition, she didn’t want to do something so exhausting and thankless. She wasn’t Simon Sun, and these three wouldn’t sympathize with her.

The Valley Master knew Serena would never agree. She often had inexplicable principles that could drive him crazy.

"Luckily, he didn’t fall into your hands." Even Dr. Redwater and Marcus Guile felt the Lizardman was lucky to end up with Serena; anyone else would have killed him.

After all, not everyone can accept such a freak.

With the three doctors’ acceptance, the Lizardman finally felt some hope and anticipation for the future, no longer as anxious as when he first emerged.

The Lizardman knew all three were legendary doctors; most people couldn’t even get one, let alone all three to work together.

Any skilled doctor is confident in their abilities—if you call another besides them, they’ll think you don’t trust them. And if you don’t trust them, why should they treat you? There’s no shortage of patients in the world.

Serena inviting three legendary doctors to treat him moved the Lizardman to his knees, even though she kept explaining they weren’t invited—they’d rushed in for the research opportunity. He didn’t believe her, convinced she was just doing good without seeking credit.

Serena gave up trying to explain; with such a simple-hearted person, the world seemed too kind. As for the three “rascals,” there’s no way she could have invited them herself.

With the three doctors caring for the Lizardman, Serena happily became a hands-off supervisor. Learning that Little Feng Jin was well, she planned to take Spring and Mira Tang back to the Capital—Ninth Royal Uncle was still waiting for her. But before she could leave, Jiangnan underwent a sudden change...
