Sean Kerr and His Son Meet

1/4/2026

Cecilia Gu was swamped with work at the company when her secretary rushed in, flustered. "Chairwoman, there's a call from Newport Academy—Miss Yina has gotten into trouble!"

Cecilia was instantly alarmed.

What?

She had just sent her to Newport Academy today, and now there was already trouble?

Cecilia immediately called Newport Academy. The Principal was nearly in tears. "Chairwoman, please come quickly! Right now, I'm lining up with the kids at the school clinic for stomach pumping!"

Stomach pumping?

What the heck?

"Yina Yin somehow picked some fruit and convinced the other kids to eat it with her. When the teacher found out, they realized the kids had eaten unripe flower seeds! The school doctor said these seeds are toxic and can cause throat swelling..." the secretary explained, half-understanding.

Cecilia sighed inwardly.

What a little troublemaker!

Cecilia quickly set aside her company work and rushed to Newport Academy, her heart racing with anxiety.

By the time Cecilia arrived, the children had all finished vomiting and looked completely drained.

Only Yina Yin was still full of energy.

Cecilia really wanted to pull her over and give her a good spanking to vent her frustration!

But she had promised Charles Yin she wouldn’t hit the children…

As the Chairwoman of the school, she and the Principal couldn't escape responsibility for what happened.

So she called each child's parents to apologize one by one.

Luckily, most of the parents here were locals and knew the Yin Family's status, so everyone politely replied that it was no problem.

When it came to the last child, no matter what, she couldn't reach the parents.

Cecilia crouched down and asked him, "Little one, what's your home phone number?"

The little boy hung his head in silence.

At that moment, the teacher tugged at Cecilia.

Cecilia followed her aside, and the teacher whispered, "This child was sent here by the Mao Family, but after that, they enrolled him for full boarding. His family only visits once a month."

Sent by the Mao Family?

Cecilia's expression suddenly turned serious.

"I heard the child's father has never shown up, only the mother has come a few times, but very rarely. I just tried to contact the mother, but no one picked up." The teacher said, troubled. "What should we do?"

"Is the child's mother named Molly Mao?" Cecilia asked.

"Yes! Director, how did you know?" The teacher asked in surprise.

"Alright, you go handle your work. Leave this child to me." Cecilia nodded.

It looked like a lot had happened after Sean Kerr didn't marry Molly Mao.

Unexpectedly, three years had flown by, and Molly Mao's child was now attending Newport Academy.

These past few years, Sean Kerr had been as elusive as ever—no one knew what he was up to.

Charles Yin said he hadn't seen him in ages either.

Cecilia, just to give it a try, dialed Sean Kerr's number.

Coincidentally, after a few rings, Sean Kerr picked up. "Hello?"

"Sean Kerr?" Cecilia could hardly believe she actually got through.

"Yeah, what's up?" Sean sounded a bit tired.

"Where are you right now?" Cecilia asked. "Can you come over?"

"Me? Oh, I just got off a plane, just came back from North America. What's up, is something wrong?" Sean asked, confused.

"Of course there's something wrong." Cecilia sighed. "Just come over and I'll explain."

After comforting the boy, Cecilia went to find those five little troublemakers—well, four little troublemakers and one mischievous girl—to settle the score!

As soon as the five kids saw Cecilia coming, they immediately lined up, confessing before she could even scold them: "We were wrong! We really know we were wrong!"

"So tell me, whose idea was it?" Cecilia asked sternly. "Who told you to eat the flower seeds?"

The others all looked at Yina Yin.

Yina Yin protested, "Mommy, those aren't flower seeds at all!"

Cecilia raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Then what are they?"

Yina Yin turned and picked up a basket, handing it to Cecilia. "Mommy! The teachers got it wrong! They're just making a fuss! I saw these growing in the garden, and I remember Auntie's book clearly said the fruit from these flowers can be used as medicine! If you don't believe me, ask Auntie!"

Cecilia looked down and saw the basket was full of Malva Nuts.

Cecilia felt a headache coming on. She crouched down and said, "Nuo, you're right, this is indeed a medicinal herb. But the teachers aren't wrong either! This is called Malva Nut."

"Your auntie's book is correct. Malva Nut is used to clear heat, moisten the lungs, soothe the throat, and help digestion. But there are restrictions—if you eat too much, it's dangerous. It's not only toxic, but can also cause allergies. Ziyue, you can ask your dad to check if I'm right." Cecilia patiently explained to the kids, "Remember, don't eat things you don't fully understand! Especially if you don't know the exact medicinal properties. Got it?"

Yina Yin complained, "When my brother was three and a half, he already knew everything—not only could he make explosives, but he could build weapons too! Even Miles Gu was talented at everything from a young age! Why can't I do anything? I want to be as outstanding as my brothers!"

"You have the nerve to say that?" Cecilia tapped Yina's forehead. "Who disappears in the middle of class so even the teachers can't find you? When your brothers were little, they always listened in class. But you? Climbing on the roof, fishing in the water—you’re even naughtier than the boys! When I tell you to read, you barely manage half a bottle’s worth!"

"Who says so! My judo is great! My Muay Thai coach says I’m a natural!" Yina protested. "Even my brother says I’m doing better than he did at my age!"

Cecilia felt her headache getting worse.

Did she really give birth to a daughter?

Did she really reincarnate into the right body?

"And my language skills are great too! Auntie says I must have inherited the Yun Family genes. I can already read English newspapers!" Yina continued, still defiant.

"What about your dance class? Your flower arranging class? Your chess club grades? Your cooking class scores?" Cecilia teased. "Ask the other girls in kindergarten—whose grades are worse than yours?"

Yina Yin, predictably, fell silent.

After a while, Yina came over and tugged Cecilia's sleeve, acting cute. "Mommy, I know I was wrong! I won't do it again! Please don't be mad, okay? You're so pretty—if you get angry you'll get wrinkles! And when you're mad, Daddy ignores me! Daddy's so handsome, if he ignores me, I'll be so sad!"

Cecilia felt like her daughter was going to drive her crazy.

"And the rest of you—stop following Nuo into trouble." Cecilia began lecturing the other kids.

Lucas Mu and Ryan King immediately looked at Cecilia with teary eyes. "Aunt Cecilia, please don't scold Nuo-ge! If Nuo-ge cries, we'll be sad too!"

Leo Mo and Theo Mo joined in, their eyes brimming with tears. "Aunt Cecilia, we know we were wrong! We promise never to eat random things again—and we won't give them to other kids either!"

"You guys... Forget it, I'll just let your parents know and have them take you home." Cecilia said, pretending to be stern.

The four children panicked, clinging to Cecilia and pleading, "Aunt Cecilia, don't make us go! We want to play with Nuo-ge! We promise we won't get into trouble again! Please don't send us home!"

Seeing the four kids nearly in tears, Cecilia finally said, "You can play here, but you have to promise me one thing: never chase away the bodyguards and nannies and hide to cause trouble again! Got it? If you don't listen, you can't play here anymore!"

"Okay!" the four kids quickly replied, "We promise!"

After settling the kids' issues, Sean Kerr finally arrived, bustling in.

"Cecilia? What did you need me for?" Sean strode over.

After three years apart, Sean Kerr looked even more mature and refined than before.

He seemed to have transformed into a completely different person—capable, composed, sharp, and aloof.

Cecilia took the child's hand and said to Sean, "Come with me, I need to take you somewhere."

Sean looked at Cecilia, puzzled, but didn't ask any questions. He simply walked ahead with her.

Noticing Cecilia holding the child's hand, Sean couldn't help but take a closer look.

That single glance left Sean stunned.

This child... looked just like him when he was little.

Seeing Sean notice the child, Cecilia finally felt a bit relieved. "Let's talk in the office. This child is really quite pitiful. His mother left him here, enrolled him for full boarding, and rarely shows up."

Sean felt as if he'd been struck by lightning.

The child timidly looked up at Sean, and in that moment, a flash of pain flickered in Sean's eyes.

Is this child... his child?

Once in the office, Cecilia asked her assistant to let the child rest and said to Sean Kerr, "You saw it yourself. The child's mother is Molly Mao. So what exactly happened three years ago? After the big fight between Jolene and Danni, you left Newport City with Molly Mao and then vanished. If I hadn't seen this child here today, I wouldn't have known Molly Mao had abandoned him. What's going on with the Mao Family? And what about your parents?"

Sean Kerr sighed, "Back then, I had a serious talk with Molly Mao. After a while, she told me she’d gotten rid of the child. I thought the child didn’t even exist in this world! I never imagined she would..."

"Wait, didn’t you get engaged to Molly Mao back then? Didn’t your parents accept her as their daughter-in-law? Why did things change so suddenly?" Cecilia was puzzled. "You’d better start from the beginning—what exactly happened back then?"

Sean Kerr let out a soft sigh. "This really does start three years ago."
