Immortal Crystals

Jin Haotian really was a man of action—he left just like that. Watching his departing back, Evan Lin said, "Even though you want to use me to achieve your own goals, you were able to tell me plainly. If I really become strong, I will fulfill your wish."

After glancing at the storage ring, Evan Lin put it away inside his own ring and went straight back into the mine. Seeing Roxanne Lin, he said, "Roxy, let me take you somewhere. You'll definitely be shocked."

Evan had Chu Tong return to the storage ring as well. Since he was heading below Earth City, there was no point in having Chu Tong stand guard here. He might as well go absorb the Immortal Essence down there—maybe he'd even break through.

"Where are we going? There are so many Immortal Stones here—don't you want them? Or is your time mining here already over?" Roxy asked, puzzled.

"This time, we have five years—more than enough to break through our current realm. And we won't be leaving this place. I just want to take you down beneath the mine. Down there, the Immortal Stones are truly terrifying."

With that, Evan Lin took Roxy's hand and used Earthshift. Bringing someone along made Earthshift much slower; it took him almost two days to reach their destination from entering the earth, with several stops to rest along the way—a far cry from how easy it was in the lower realm.

When Roxy saw the space filled with Immortal Essence, she was stunned. Evan Lin was also amazed—he'd had the Timewheel Bracelet absorb a ton of Immortal Essence before leaving, but after only a few days away, it had already recovered to almost its original state. The speed was just unbelievable.

"Lin, the Immortal Essence here is so dense! If we cultivate here, we'll get twice the results for half the effort. I can't wait!" Roxy said excitedly.

Seeing Roxy so excited, Evan Lin felt truly happy. "Roxy, this is just the beginning. There's something even better waiting for you—but you'll have to wait a bit to see it."

Then Evan Lin used Chaos Immortal Force to guide a cluster of Immortal Essence into the Timewheel Bracelet. Soon, Immortal Essence began pouring in nonstop, without Evan even needing to control it. He was used to this phenomenon by now, but Roxy was still very curious.

"Lin, your bracelet is just too heaven-defying—it can actually absorb Immortal Essence! I have to hand it to you," Roxy said.

Evan Lin just smiled, then brought out Goldwing, Shadow, and Chu Tong. When the three saw the terrifying Immortal Essence, they all started absorbing it like crazy. Shadow was the fastest—he transformed into his massive true form and, with one gulp, swallowed nearly half the Immortal Essence in the space.

But after that one gulp, he stopped and quietly sat down to refine the immense energy he'd absorbed. Goldwing also transformed into his true form, and to Evan's surprise, his golden wings could absorb Immortal Essence too. Though not as freakish as Shadow, in just half a stick of incense he absorbed nearly half as much Immortal Essence.

He too sat down to digest the terrifying energy. Not to be outdone, Chu Tong transformed into his true form—a flash of yellow light—and half the Immortal Essence in the space was swept into the Illusion Realm. He also quietly settled down to refine it.

Seeing how quickly the three made the dense Immortal Essence thin out, Roxy grumbled, "It's bad enough my master is a freak, but even his pet sidekicks are just as freakish. What kind of people are you guys?"

"Roxy, quit complaining and look at what just appeared," Evan Lin said as he put the Timewheel Bracelet back on.

Roxy looked around and saw Immortal Stones shining everywhere, at least four different colors. "Wow, I even see purple supreme-grade Immortal Stones—and there's a bunch! We totally hit the jackpot this time."

"Happy now? I told you you'd be shocked, but you didn't believe me. Do you believe me now? Get ready to start digging," Evan Lin laughed.

Roxy glanced at Evan Lin, couldn't help giving him a sweet kiss, and said, "This place is amazing. I can't believe there are so many Immortal Stones here—it's unreal."

After that, she transformed into her true form. A crisp phoenix cry rang out from her mouth as she started digging—of course, she went for the purple supreme-grade Immortal Stones first. Evan Lin, meanwhile, scanned around with Divine Sense, searching for Immortal Crystals—the real treasures.

But after searching for ages, he still couldn't find any. Still, his instincts told him there had to be an Immortal Crystal here—otherwise, the Immortal Essence wouldn't be this dense. Thinking about it, Evan Lin suddenly remembered what happened when he was drowning before; maybe a Mother Crystal would show up here.

He'd just made up the name, but he was sure such a thing existed. If he could find this so-called Mother Crystal and bring it into the Timewheel Bracelet, maybe he'd be able to generate endless Immortal Essence—then the Timewheel Bracelet would become a true cultivation paradise.

Even though a lot of Immortal Essence had already been absorbed, there was still plenty left, and with the space this huge, it was hard to pinpoint where it was coming from. Unless they absorbed almost all the Immortal Essence here, it would be tough to find the source.

With that in mind, Evan Lin started using the Timewheel Bracelet to absorb again, while Roxy kept slowly digging up supreme-grade Immortal Stones. None of the five in the space were idle. As time passed, the Immortal Essence in the space got thinner and thinner, and Evan's excitement kept growing.

When there was almost no Immortal Essence left, Evan Lin stopped the Timewheel Bracelet. He thought he'd finally be able to see where the Immortal Essence was coming from, but things turned out totally different from what he'd imagined. Even after searching with Divine Sense for over an hour, nothing changed, leaving him super frustrated.

Seeing Evan Lin standing there like a block of wood, Roxy stopped digging, transformed back into human form, and walked over. "What are you thinking about? Why aren't you digging up those Immortal Crystals?" she asked.

"Roxy, I feel like there's an incredibly terrifying Immortal Stone here—or maybe a top-tier Immortal Crystal. Think about it: the Immortal Essence here is so dense, this vein can't be ordinary. I thought it was just a small mine, but it's way bigger than I expected. A vein this massive is super rare in the Immortal Realm—it might even be the biggest one out there," Evan Lin said seriously.
