Killing Men Like Chickens

1/19/2026

Evan Chu suddenly appeared above the Blackmount Kingdom army. The soldiers, startled by this intruder, raised their bows and fired a wild volley at him, trying to shoot him down.

But Evan Chu was flying so high that even if the guards used all their strength, they couldn’t reach him. Staring down at the dense crowd below, Evan called out, “You’d best abandon this campaign and return to Blackmount Kingdom, or only destruction awaits you.”

Evan’s voice was loud—everyone heard it. His arrogant words left many confused, unable to understand why the other side would send a mere youth to spout such nonsense.

Just then, two middle-aged men flew up toward Evan. “Kid, you actually dare to appear above Blackmount’s army? You’re not leaving here alive. Don’t resist, or you’ll die ugly.”

Evan glanced at the two men and laughed. “Looks like you won’t learn your lesson until I show you some real power. Prepare to die!”

The two had only just broken through to Divine Martial Realm. Evan’s figure flashed—he threw out two quick punches, striking both men directly. In an instant, he killed them; their corpses crashed down into the crowd below.

Evan’s shocking strength stunned the Blackmount soldiers. Those two weren’t top experts, but they were still respected figures—yet this youth had killed them so casually it was hard to believe.

Evan spoke again: “I’ll give you one more chance. If you still refuse to retreat, don’t blame me for being ruthless.” Even he didn’t know why he said this—his plan was to deliver a heavy blow and end things quickly, but maybe a sudden burst of compassion was holding him back.

“Kid, you’re begging for death!” An old man in white armor appeared in the sky. His rank was clearly high—if not the Marshal, then at least a top commander.

“Linfeng, why are you wasting time? Don’t forget about Rhea Yang—you’re running out of time.” Sword Spirit Luna’s voice rang out.

Evan knew time was tight. Slowly, he drew the Frostbane Sword from his storage ring and said to the old man, “Since you insist on being stubborn, prepare to die!”

He unleashed Tyrant Cleave in an instant—a massive sword-qi slashed out, fused with the power of the five elements. Its force rivaled Earthsplitter, far beyond what a mere second- or third-layer Divine Martial expert could withstand. The old man was obliterated, not even bones remaining.

Blood rain fell from the sky, making the scene even more terrifying and gruesome. The Blackmount soldiers below began to panic—such overwhelming power was a first for them, and now they were starting to believe Evan’s words.

On the distant city wall, the Moonspirit Marshal and the middle-aged general who’d brought Evan were both utterly shocked. Even from afar, they’d clearly seen Evan kill three powerful experts in a flash—almost unbelievable. They now believed his earlier claims even more.

Not stopping, Evan landed on the ground. Instantly, countless soldiers attacked him, but he didn’t bother dodging. Gripping the Frostbane Sword, he swung with full force—he wanted absolute deterrence. This was an Earthsplitter, fused with the five elements.

A surge of powerful sword-qi erupted from his blade, distorting the surrounding space. Suddenly, a spatial black hole appeared before everyone’s eyes. As Evan unleashed his strike, the area for thousands of meters in front of him became a vacuum.

Thousands of soldiers were wiped out in an instant. The ground split open with a massive chasm—dozens of meters wide and seemingly bottomless. The air was thick with the stench of blood.

With this one strike, Evan had killed nearly half the enemy soldiers. The survivors were terrified—he was scarier than a devil from hell, and those left felt lucky just to be alive.

Everyone on the city wall was just as frightened—this was something no normal person could do, yet it had happened, and at the hands of a mere youth.

The Blackmount army broke and fled in a frenzy, running as if their father had died. Evan called out, “If you dare invade Moonspirit Kingdom again, I’ll wipe Blackmount off the map. You’d better remember this.”

With a flash, Evan appeared atop the city wall. His speed once again stunned the Moonspirit Marshal and the other soldiers. The Marshal finally managed to ask, “Just what level have you reached?”

“Ever heard of the Azure Tide Ruins?” Evan didn’t answer directly—he didn’t feel the need to bother with these people.

“Of course! The Azure Tide Ruins are where true experts dwell—ancient records mention it often. Are you all from there?” the Marshal asked in shock.

“That’s right. He’s the master of Frostbane Sect in the Azure Tide Ruins—and currently its number-one expert. You’re lucky to have met him; your problem is solved, so now it’s time to hand over what we need.” Luna Chu spoke up.

The middle-aged general immediately produced a map, respectfully handing it to Evan. “Young Master, here’s the territorial map you asked for. As for the Moonshadow Stone, we’ll need to return to the Royal Capital to get it—it’ll take a little time.”

“The problem’s solved, so let’s go. I’ve got plenty of other things to handle—I can’t afford any delays!” Evan said.

“Then let’s go. We owe this all to you, Young Master—without you, Moonspirit Kingdom would’ve faced destruction. Every citizen will remember your great kindness,” the general said.

With that, Evan and his three companions left the city wall with the general. They didn’t even bother to greet the Marshal, leaving him feeling a bit slighted—but in the face of such a peerless expert, pride meant nothing.

On the way back, Evan carried Skylar Yule; Claire Ouyang carried Luna Chu. Their speed was astonishing. The general used all his strength but still couldn’t keep up—only now did he realize just how terrifying their true power was.

By nightfall, the five of them finally arrived. Evan told the general, “Bring the Moonshadow Stone here first thing tomorrow morning—I’ll be waiting. Don’t make any stupid mistakes, or Moonspirit Kingdom won’t survive even one of my moves. I trust you understand.”

The general nodded repeatedly. “Rest assured, Young Master—I’ll get it done. I’ll go report to the King right away.”

Evan ordered more food and wine, having it sent to their room. The four of them sat together, chatting about the day’s events...
