If She Can't Be Cured, Her Whole Family Will Be Executed

A flash of barely detectable coldness flickered in Chloe Zhu's seemingly soft and adorable big eyes as she asked, "Ruby, didn't you ask me yesterday how I managed to heal Steward Qin? How come you haven't heard about it?"

"When did I ever ask you that? Why would I ask such a ridiculous question?" Ruby shot her a look that said she was talking nonsense. "Many Spiritual Alchemists have tried and failed to heal Steward Qin's injuries. You're just a useless maid without any spiritual root—how could you possibly succeed?"

"General, if you don't believe me, summon Steward Qin and ask him yourself!" Chloe Zhu said.

"You must know Steward Qin is out of town, and you're saying this on purpose to stall for time and try to escape, aren't you?" Ruby snapped sharply. "You two, drag her away and beat her to death!"

Two guards stepped forward, ready to drag her away.

"General! Miss Cecilia's injuries were caused by a cultivation mishap—her meridians are broken, her spiritual power is in chaos, and her organs are severely damaged. If you keep waiting, she'll die within three days! Please, let me try!" Chloe Zhu struggled and pleaded.

Evan Xiao frowned and waved to stop the two guards.

What she said was exactly what Master Sun had diagnosed.

"I really can cure her!" Chloe Zhu insisted. "And about healing Steward Qin, lots of people know about it. You can ask anyone."

Evan Xiao was silent for a moment before saying, "If you can't cure her, your whole family will be beaten to death!"

Chloe Zhu instantly felt relieved and answered, "Of course! If I can't cure her, you can have my whole family beaten to death!"

"Let's go!" Evan Xiao strode out of the room.

Chloe Zhu followed him out.

As she passed by Ruby, Chloe Zhu shot her a glance.

Ruby suddenly felt like she was being stared down by a wild beast, and a chill ran down her spine.

She was supposed to be just a soft and adorable fifteen-year-old maid, only good at acting cute and pleasing people—how could she have such a look in her eyes?

Clearly, she's not someone to mess with!

We'd be better off without her!

Ruby bit her lip, finally calmed herself down, and turned to follow them.

She refused to believe that Lily Bai could really pull Cecilia Chen back from the brink of death.

Cecilia Chen's injuries were nothing like Steward Qin's old wounds.

The General had spent a fortune and waited a whole month in line to invite Master Sun for a consultation.

Even Master Sun suggested preparing a coffin. How could an ordinary girl with no spiritual root possibly heal her?

If she could really cure her, why would she need to work as a maid?

She must be stalling for time, waiting for a chance to escape!

......

The General's Manor was as simple as could be when it came to people.

Aside from General Evan Xiao, there was only the one in Moonview Pavilion.

That sickly beauty was named Cecilia Chen.

Evan Xiao often visited her, and sometimes Chloe Zhu would tag along and had seen her a few times.

She truly had the beauty to make fish sink and birds fall, the kind that could put the moon to shame!

No wonder she became the beloved of the Blue Moon Kingdom's most feared general.

Inside Moonview Pavilion, Cecilia Chen was already in a deep, unresponsive sleep.

Her breathing was erratic; one side of her face was flushed unnaturally, while the other was deathly pale—she looked almost like a ghost, truly frightening.

Chloe Zhu checked her pulse.

Her injuries were indeed difficult to treat.

Multiple meridians were broken, spiritual energy was in chaos, damaging her organs. Spiritual Alchemists below level five couldn't do a thing.

And the best Spiritual Alchemist in Blue Moon Kingdom—Master Sun, whom everyone talked about—was only level four. How could he possibly cure her?

In her past life, Chloe Zhu was already a level eight Spiritual Alchemist, able to refine grade eight elixirs.
