Seeing the Ancient Black Dragon charging at him—a supreme powerhouse—Evan Chu quickly grabbed Luna and flashed aside to dodge. Tom Chu instantly transformed into his true form, unleashing a dazzling yellow light that dragged the Black Dragon into his own domain.
Big Brother, I can only hold this guy for half an hour at most. When time's up, you have to come in and kill him—he's too strong, he could break my illusion at any moment.
Don't worry, Tom! As soon as I help Luna through her final lightning tribulation, I'll join you and help take him down. Hang in there!
Lightning still flashed nonstop overhead, but refused to strike. Evan Chu and Luna grew more anxious—if the delay outlasted Tom Chu's ability to hold off the Black Dragon, everything would be ruined.
Evan had never felt so tense before. Staring at the tribulation clouds, he roared, "If you've got the guts, strike me already! I dare you! Hit me! Come on—bring it!"
"Senior brother, you're really impatient—let me help you out again!" chuckled the mysterious expert above the clouds. Instantly, a barrel-thick bolt of lightning crashed down, lighting up the entire Divine Dragon Valley.
Seeing the lightning strike, Evan was thrilled—his taunts had worked! He flashed forward to meet the bolt head-on, swinging the Frostbane Sword in a powerful slash.
"Boom!" Evan's Star‑Cleave hit the lightning, but it had no effect—the full force crashed into him, nearly tearing him apart and smashing him into the ground, leaving a deep crater next to the Blood Pool.
The lightning quickly faded, the clouds above dispersed, and Luna's body began to emit a pure white radiance. She floated up, spinning gracefully in the air.
The white glow around her seemed utterly sacred, like a celestial maiden dancing above the world—untouchable, beyond mortal reach.
Evan Chu slowly crawled out of the crater, covered in dust but barely injured. Seeing Luna's stunning transformation, he was utterly speechless—her beauty was like something out of a dream, yet here she was, the woman he loved.
As Luna's glow faded, she gently floated down and opened her bright, clear eyes. Seeing Evan staring, she teased, 'What, don't recognize me anymore?'
Evan snapped out of it and blurted, "Luna, you're gorgeous! You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen—it's beyond words!"
Unable to help himself, Evan rushed forward and hugged Luna. She meant to push him away, but couldn't bear to—she longed for his embrace too.
Evan could feel Luna's heartbeat clearly. Holding her, he was tempted to kiss her, but Luna quickly pushed him away.
"Evan, Tom Chu is fighting for his life right now. We can't waste time—let's get in there and help him!" Luna urged.
Evan snapped to attention, grabbed Luna's hand, and called out, "Tom, let us in!" Instantly, a yellow light enveloped them and they vanished from the Blood Pool's edge.
Just as Evan and Luna vanished, a handsome young man in a distant void frowned in confusion: "What's going on? I clearly sensed Luna's presence, but now it's gone—she was definitely on this continent. I have to investigate."
Inside, Evan and Luna saw the Ancient Black Dragon rampaging in Tom Chu's illusion domain, each attack shaking the space violently—if the domain broke, Tom Chu would be in grave danger.
"Evan, stop him! I haven't recovered my strength yet—just stall him for a while and I'll handle the rest," Luna said.
Evan Chu soared into the air, taunting Draxon: "Black mud-eel, feeling angry being trapped here? If you try to stop Luna's tribulation, you'll die miserably! Come on, kill me if you dare! Show me what you've got!"
Driven half-mad by confinement and Evan's taunts, Draxon roared, "Brat, today your Black Dragon grandpa will swallow you whole!"
Evan sneered, "Watch out, or I'll knock all your teeth out. You want to swallow me? Look at yourself first! If you can't back it up, don't brag!" His insults redirected all of Draxon's fury onto himself, keeping Luna safe.
Draxon spat a stream of dragonfire at Evan, who dodged in a flash; Luna hovered at a safe distance.
Sizing up Evan, Draxon said, "You feel strong, but that girl is even more dangerous. Never thought I'd face two such powerful opponents at once—guess I'll deal with you first, then fight her. Don't disappoint me."
Relieved Draxon was wary of Luna, Evan retorted, "Disappoint you? Dream on! Show me your skills—there's no one here to save you now!"
Draxon's massive dragon body shrank into the form of a black-robed elder. "Today I'll show you my space domain," he declared.
Now that Luna had a physical body, she couldn't retreat into Evan. Alarmed, she transmitted urgently: "Evan, run! Draxon's domain is deadly—he might use a dark domain, and you haven't mastered dark-element particles yet. It's dangerous!"
Startled, Evan shouted, "You think you can kill me with a domain? Not a chance!" He instantly activated his teleportation art and vanished.
Draxon glanced at Luna, then rushed after Evan. He hesitated to attack Luna, recognizing her tribulation as a sign of true strength—he understood better than anyone what that meant.
