Ember’s Crisis and April Moon’s Scheme

Brocade and Evan Yang soon returned to the Dragon Clan. When the Dragon Clan Patriarch saw Evan, he smiled and said, "You're back. How did it go?"

"Patriarch, do you know the true identity of that Goddess?" Evan Yang asked curiously and helplessly. The Patriarch shook his head and said, "I don't know."

Evan Yang asked doubtfully, "Then who does know?"

The Patriarch shook his head again and said, "No one knows her identity."

Evan Yang nodded, "Got it. Well, we'll probably be bothering you for a while."

"Oh? If there's anything, just say it," the Patriarch said with a smile. Evan Yang explained his intentions to the Dragon Clan Patriarch and told him to notify him immediately if there was any news about Ember Yang or April Lei.

The Dragon Clan Patriarch smiled, "No problem." Then Evan Yang and Brocade rested in a cave within the Dragon Clan.

Brocade was curious, "Boss, are we really just going to wait here? What if they never show up?"

"They will. Ember has a treasure that can pinpoint people. She can find me, and I just have this feeling they're in trouble," Evan Yang told Brocade.

Brocade was quite curious about Evan Yang's words—how could he have such a feeling?

As for Ember Yang, she was currently with April Lei, but they'd already been stuck in hardship for several days. Ember was surrounded by freezing cold, while April Lei was on the other side of what felt like an ice cellar.

"Mom, I'm so cold," Ember Yang said from inside the ice cellar.

"Don't worry, sweetheart. We'll find a way," April Lei said anxiously.

Ember Yang looked at April Lei and said, "Mom, go find Dad. He'll definitely have a way."

April Lei sighed, "It's all my fault. I didn't know this place, and I brought you here without thinking. Now you're trapped."

"I'm fine, Mom. Just hurry and go find Dad," Ember Yang told April Lei.

April Lei worried, "I don't know where your dad is. What if he's already gone?"

"I have a treasure here. It shows he's still at the Dragon Clan and hasn't moved," Ember Yang said, shivering.

April Lei said to Ember Yang, "Got it. Hang in there. Mom will help you find him."

Then April Lei quickly rushed out and headed straight for the Dragon Clan.

At the Dragon Clan, when Evan Yang heard that someone was looking for him, he came out with Brocade. Seeing April Lei, he smiled and said, "I knew she'd come—looks like I was right."

"Boss, you're really spot-on, but why is she alone?" Brocade asked suspiciously.

Evan Yang looked around and, not seeing Ember Yang, frowned and walked toward April Lei.

April Lei was overjoyed to see Evan Yang really there. "Finally found you!" she exclaimed.

"What's wrong?" Evan Yang asked curiously.

"Ember's trapped by a weird formation. It's so cold there, even our Fire Phoenix flames can't ignite. Please, you have to save her," April Lei pleaded.

Evan Yang was shocked, "What happened? Tell me slowly."

April Lei was nearly in tears. "I originally brought her to look for something, but we got trapped in a freezing place."

"Don't worry, senior. Just take me there now," Evan Yang comforted her.

April Lei nodded and quickly led Evan Yang and Brocade away. On the way, they were spotted by April Moon's people, and April Moon immediately brought a group to block their path.

When Evan Yang saw April Moon again, he frowned, "I'm busy today and don't want to fight you. But if you push me, you'll regret it."

"Like I care. I'm just here to tell her the Patriarch wants to see her," April Moon said to April Lei.

"The Patriarch's awake?" April Lei said excitedly.

Evan Yang said to April Lei, "Let's rescue Ember first."

April Lei was torn—she needed to go to Phoenix Mountain, but she also had to rescue Ember Yang.

April Moon said, "The Patriarch is in a hurry to see you—go right now."

"Enough with your nonsense. Want me to shut you up for good?" Evan Yang said.

April Moon snapped, "I'm just passing on the Patriarch's orders!"

April Lei thought for a moment and said to Evan Yang, "How about this? I'll tell you where Ember is, you go help her, and I'll go see the Patriarch."

Evan Yang hadn't expected April Lei to actually go, but he could only agree helplessly. "Alright, then."

So April Lei told Evan Yang where Ember was, then sent him to find her, while she followed April Moon to Phoenix Mountain.

On the way to Phoenix Mountain, April Moon stopped once Evan Yang was out of sight. "You're still so naive, aren't you?" she said.

April Lei sensed something was wrong. "You tricked me?"

"I didn't trick you. The Patriarch does want to see you, but do you really think I'd let you meet her? Everyone, get her! We have to trap her today," April Moon said coldly.

With that, April Moon and her accomplices surrounded April Lei and launched a wild attack.

Evan Yang hadn't expected April Moon to pull such a move. At that moment, he and Brocade arrived at the destination. It was a world of ice and snow, and Ember Yang was trapped inside a formation. Evan Yang said, "Wait here. I'll break the formation. Be ready for anything."

"Got it, Boss," Brocade replied.

Evan Yang stepped inside. It was bitterly cold. As he entered, he was swept into the formation and saw Ember Yang curled up, her whole body purple and shivering.

When Ember Yang saw Evan Yang come in, she was overjoyed. "Dad!"

"Don't worry, I'm here," Evan Yang said. He saw Ember Yang was stiff, so he quickly went over and wrapped her in Sacred Flame, driving away the cold. When her color improved, he asked, "Where's your mom?"
