The Famous Miracle Doctor Arrives

12/2/2025

Lily's suggestion was exactly what Lana Evans wanted—she had already conspired with the doctor to give false testimony!

So Lana Evans smoothly gave the name of the clinic and the doctor's name to the servant from Prince Alexander Hayes' residence.

The servant drove off in the carriage to find the doctor, while Lana Evans put on a pitiful act, as if everyone in the family was targeting and bullying her. With tearful eyes, she looked at Lily: "Sister Lily, you may not say it, but I know deep down you look down on me. Because I was trafficked, you think I've disgraced you, so you make things difficult for me everywhere, wishing I didn't exist so you wouldn't lose face as Princess Consort..."

As Lana Evans spoke, she burst into tears, making Lily frown and cough lightly: "Lana Evans, you're overthinking it. I'm busy every day with this and that, making money nonstop. Where would I find the time to look down on you? Sorry, I honestly don't have time to notice you."

Lana Evans was left speechless by Lily's retort, her anger simmering inside. She thought, Lily, you just got lucky and married up—why act so smug with me!

But Lana Evans didn't dare to really argue with Lily—after all, Lily was Princess Consort now, and Lana would need her help in the future. She couldn't afford to offend her.

Even if Lily slapped Lana Evans, Lana couldn't get angry. She'd have to swallow her pride, force a smile, and offer the other cheek, begging for another slap.

So no matter how angry Lana Evans was, she could only bottle it up and say pitifully, "Sister Lily, you're right, it's all my fault..."

Lana Evans' pretentious act made everyone present—except Mrs. Sun and Jin Cheng—feel utterly disgusted.

Especially Sam Evans, who, for the first time, realized his daughter had become so fake and repulsive.

It wasn't long before the servant from Prince Alexander Hayes' residence brought the doctor over.

This doctor, surnamed Zhang, was fat and greasy, his face so plump it looked like it was about to drip oil.

When Lana Evans saw Doctor Zhang, she became very excited.

As soon as Doctor Zhang entered, Lana Evans shot him a meaningful look.

Doctor Zhang understood instantly, exchanging a glance with Lana Evans—their silent communication said it all.

"This is Doctor Zhang, the one who took my pulse. He's famous around here—a renowned miracle doctor!" Lana Evans boasted.

When everyone heard her call him a "miracle doctor," they couldn't help but turn away in embarrassment.

After all, the real medical sage from the Lin family was sitting right at the head of the table—where did this random quack come from, daring to call himself a miracle doctor?

Lana Evans quickly pulled Doctor Zhang over and cried, "Doctor Zhang, they all refuse to believe I'm seriously ill. Please testify for me!"

Doctor Zhang, panting from his weight, pointed at Lana Evans and declared, "This young lady really is gravely ill! You people who don't understand medicine wouldn't know! Some patients look perfectly healthy on the outside—lively and energetic—but inside, they're already terminally ill! Like a fruit rotting from within, it looks fine on the outside, but the core is already decayed and crawling with worms."

Lily snorted coldly, staring at Lana Evans with meaning: "That's quite true—some people look shiny on the surface, but their hearts are already rotten and crawling with worms!"

Lana Evans felt uneasy under Lily's gaze and pretended not to understand: "Ahem, Sister Lily, what are you talking about? I don't get it... Anyway, everyone heard it—Doctor Zhang testified that I'm really sick."

Lana Evans then glanced at the Lin family’s medical sage, acting all sensible and considerate: "Earlier, Auntie's husband took my pulse and said I wasn't sick. I think it wasn't intentional—it's just that Auntie's husband's medical skills aren't good enough to diagnose my rare illness, so he thought I was fine."
