Young Master Cyrus Qi slid down from the wall, the shock still frozen on his face as he stared blankly at the enormous head poking out from that doorway.
It was a bizarre head with a human face, two goat horns, a tuft of goat beard on the chin, reeking of wine, burping drunkenly as it gazed at them with curiosity.
Quinn Shepherd politely said, "Senior, we are people of the Everpeace Empire, and have entered this place by mistake. Sorry to disturb you. May I ask, how do we leave here?"
The goat-horned man tidied his clothes and stepped out from the doorway. He was much taller than Quinn Shepherd and Young Master Cyrus Qi, even bigger than Bruno the Dragon-Qilin. His face was stern as he looked down to inspect them, his gaze settling on Bruno, and he gulped audibly, muttering, "Haven't had meat in ages... Too bad you’re all Primordial Spirits, no flesh... You’re from Everpeace? What kind of place is Everpeace?"
Judging by his attire, he wasn’t someone from the present era, but wore ancient garb.
His body was lean and sinewy, not as burly as a blue ox, but he radiated a sense of crisp competence and a faintly terrifying menace.
He wasn’t some spirit goat either. Judging by the swirling patterns covering his body, he should be the Primordial Spirit of a deity—though his spirit had already been refined into solid form. Maybe he was the one guarding this saber.
To refine a Primordial Spirit into solid substance was no small feat—it was clear his cultivation was astonishingly high.
Quinn Shepherd asked in puzzlement, "Senior, are you someone from the Pioneer Era? Then do you know of the Great Ruins?"
"The Great Ruins? Of course I know it. The Pioneer Emperor ordered me to use the Imperial Gate Divine Saber to sever a chunk of Youdu and forge Nether City. He said to carve out a Nether City world about as big as the Great Ruins."
