Four Sacred Realm

Back underground, Susan Zhou looked at me with deep concern. My face was twisted with anger. Zhu Tang had already emerged, his head hanging low, trailing beside me.

Ethan Zhang, I don't know if it's just my imagination, but I keep feeling someone is calling me. Ever since I came to this world, maybe it's because of Grace Hu's ghost aura—some remnant sealed in the photo. So...

Go ahead, Deathcurse. I'm counting on you.

"Stand guard outside. Don't let anyone enter."

I said this to Black Moon. He waved his hand and then saluted.

"Relax, Fang. Not even a fly will get in."

Inside the spacious room, I sat down, pressed my palms together, and stared quietly at Zhu Tang, my eyes full of anger.

"Well, since you sensed it, I can't hide it anymore. Qingyuan, I didn't mean to keep this from you, but some things just can't be told to anyone lightly."

I nodded.

Please tell me. I won't tell anyone—I just want to know where Rachel Lan really is.

"Let me put it this way: I should have told you before, we Holy Spirits are born from human faith."

"You did say that. Back then, the old man had some doubts—you probably didn't tell the whole story. I'm not the same person I was two years ago. Tell me now."

Zhu Tang sat down beside me, smiling.

"I used to be human too."

"So it's true, then?"

Coming to this side of the world, everything I saw made me draw certain connections—especially the Four Sacred Realm, that vague, enigmatic place. Is it the same as here?

Just as you know, Ethan Zhang, everything in this world—yin and yang, earth and sky, light and darkness—complements each other. That's what forms this world. And the existence of this world is connected to the Four Sacred Realm. The reason the Four Sacred Realm exists is thanks to this world.

I looked at Zhu Tang. He still seemed reluctant to tell me everything.

"If you say it, will you die?"

That one sentence seemed to hit Zhu Tang where it hurt.
