The three of them went downstairs together, and immediately the crowd that had been waiting for a long time surrounded them.
"Uh, Mr. Shawn, I had no idea you were Darren's boss. So young and accomplished—my apologies! I failed to recognize greatness and may have offended you before. Please, don't take it to heart!" Gordon Zeng was the first to step forward, smiling apologetically.
"Oh, it's fine!" Shawn Young saw his sincerity and since there hadn't been any real trouble, he just waved it off.
"Good morning, Boss Shawn!" At this moment, Darren Yang pulled the docile Sylvia Kim over and greeted him.
"Good morning!" Shawn Young replied politely, glancing at Sylvia Kim, noticing how she had become so quiet and well-behaved, which made him feel oddly "comforted."
"Boss Shawn, did you have a good time last night? Was it extra awesome?" Darren Yang suddenly winked and teased.
"Uh—" Shawn Young was taken aback, his face flushing. Beside him, Sylvia Snow blushed furiously and shot Darren a fierce glare.
Seeing this, Martin Yang immediately scolded with a stern face, "Darren, what are you up to? Are you asking for trouble?"
"Uh, I—I was just joking, just kidding!" Darren Yang felt a chill on his scalp, suddenly remembering Shawn Young was actually his father's boss.
"If you keep disrespecting Boss Shawn, breaking the rules, I'll have to teach you a lesson with the family code!" Martin Yang warned his son coldly.
"Got it! Got it!" Darren Yang was so frightened his forehead was buzzing, and he quickly shrank to the side, not daring to say another word.
At this moment, Simon Soo stepped forward, his expression complicated as he glanced at Shawn Young, then turned to Sylvia Snow and asked, "Snow, why don't you rest a bit more?"
Before Sylvia could answer, Yvette Liu laughed and said, "Uncle Soo, yesterday was Snow's birthday. She had an unforgettable celebration, and today the three of us are heading out for some fun!"
"Out for fun? Where are you girls planning to go?" Simon Soo asked in surprise.
"Hehe, we've already got plans! We're about to head out now." Yvette Liu giggled.
"Oh, well then, you young folks go have a good time together." Simon Soo actually nodded in understanding.
"By the way, Uncle Soo, do you have a car? We're looking for a ride to go out." Yvette Liu suddenly asked.
"Oh! I do have one, but I've been here these past few days and didn't drive it over!" Simon Soo quickly replied.
"Miss Liu, you girls can use my car. And if you want to have even more fun, I have a yacht you can take out to sea!" Damian Zeng offered enthusiastically.
"Huh? You have a yacht too? Damian, you're really generous! Not taking your fiancée out for a spin?" Yvette Liu said in surprise, glancing at Dawn Yuan beside him, noticing she also looked very well-behaved.
"Oh, Dawn and I don't mind at all. We can go anytime. You're the VIPs, so you should have fun! The car and yacht—consider them gifts from me! Here, these are the keys." Damian Zeng said generously, pulling out two sets of keys and handing them over.
"Whoa, seriously? You're giving us a car and a yacht? That's way too generous!" Yvette Liu hesitated to accept.
"Miss Liu, just take them! Consider it our Zeng family's way of making friends. We've got plenty to spare, so don't be shy!" Gordon Zeng said with a laugh, though his eyes kept glancing at Shawn Young for his reaction.
Yvette Liu was still hesitating when Shawn Young suddenly said to her, "Yvette, Mr. Zeng means well—let's not refuse."
"Oh! Then I guess we won't be shy!" Yvette Liu seemed to understand Shawn Young's meaning and took the two sets of keys.
The surrounding top tycoons all looked on with envy. They now understood that building a good relationship with Shawn Young was definitely worth the investment. Secretly, they sighed that the Zeng family had taken the lead in winning him over.
"Miss Liu, the car is parked right outside the gate—the red Ferrari. The yacht is at Queen's Pier, you'll see it when you get there, and there will be staff to serve you." Damian Zeng said.
"Got it, thanks!" Yvette Liu replied.
"Hope you all have a blast! If you need anything, just let me know. I'm always here to help however I can!" Damian Zeng said with a fawning smile.
"Haha, a Ferrari and a yacht? Damian, you really know how to treat people! Anyway, we're on a tight schedule—gotta go!" Yvette Liu giggled, waved, and then pulled Shawn Young and Sylvia Snow outside.
"Snow, have fun out there! Call me when you get back!" Simon Soo suddenly called out.
"Okay, got it!" Sylvia Snow replied, blushing, and wondered why her dad wasn't objecting to her being with Shawn Young at all.
Shawn Young was about to say a few polite words before leaving, but Martin Yang gave him a look and said, "Boss Shawn, you go have fun. I'll take care of everything here for you."
"Alright then, you handle things. We're heading out!" Shawn Young knew Martin Yang would take care of the social stuff, so he happily joined Yvette Liu in heading for the gate of Zeng Manor.
Once outside at the parking lot, the three of them immediately spotted a dazzling red Ferrari parked there—just one look and you could tell it was something special.
"Wow, that's the latest Ferrari FF series, worth over five million! Damian's family is seriously loaded!" Yvette Liu exclaimed, clearly knowing her cars.
"Huh? Yvette, you know so much about cars?" Shawn Young couldn't help but ask curiously.
"Of course! My family's in the car business! I've been around cars my whole life—I've been driving since I was a kid, so of course I know my stuff!" Yvette Liu said proudly, puffing out her chest.
"Oh, so your family's in the car business? Haha, I had no idea!" Shawn Young laughed. He really didn't know much about Yvette Liu's background, just that she was a rich girl.
"Haha, Yvette's family is a famous car dealership! They're big in North America and Asia. Not only is she an expert driver, she's also the Liu family heiress." Sylvia Snow said with a smile.
"Yeah, the mainland economy is booming right now, so our Liu family's main plan in Asia is to expand there! My dad asked me to come from the US to the mainland first, so I could get used to doing business here." Yvette Liu explained.
"Oh, so Yvette actually came from the US!" Shawn Young finally understood her background.
"That's right, Yvette came from the States, and she didn't have any relatives or friends here except me. So she found me first, and that's how she met you!" Sylvia Snow explained.
"Yeah, if it weren't for Snow introducing us, I wouldn't know Shawn at all! And I had no idea being with Shawn would be so much fun!" Yvette Liu giggled, her cheeks blushing for once.
"Uh, let's not talk about that—let's get in the car! I'll take you guys somewhere to make some money!" Sylvia Snow said softly, a little embarrassed, her cheeks mysteriously turning red again.
"Hehe, yeah! Let's go make some money together!" Yvette Liu laughed, then called the two to get in the Ferrari and started the engine.
At this moment, Sylvia Snow said to her, "Yvette, just follow my directions."
"Got it!" Yvette Liu replied with a smile, stepped on the gas, and the Ferrari glided out of the parking lot, speeding away.
