Divine Dragon Joins the Battle

1/5/2026

"You bastard!" Ryan Ling gritted his teeth and forced himself to stand up, but just as he got his footing, a laser blast shot from behind, instantly smashing into his kneecap!

A split second later, a scream rang out—Ryan couldn't hold himself upright. His legs buckled and he nearly plummeted straight out of the sky.

"Ryan, hang in there! You absolutely cannot fall!" Inside his body, the Ghost Elder couldn’t hold back anymore—his ghostly form shot out and started yelling, "Damn it, I’ll fight you to the end!"

"Well, well, hiding another one inside your body, huh? Fine, I’ll take care of both of you today!" Ascendant Dragon Master Longfei sneered, unleashing a surge of devastating force.

"Old lady, help me out!" Ghost Elder gritted his teeth and shouted. Instantly, Granny Soul popped out too, and the two old ghosts threw up their strongest defense, forming a green barrier around Ryan.

"You call that a defense? Pathetic!" Ascendant Dragon Master Longfei sneered coldly, not even bothering to look properly. He snorted, and his Killing Vajra swung its monk’s staff down hard.

In an instant, a deafening boom exploded through the air!

Ghost Elder and Granny Soul were blasted out together—their own powers sealed, and even with Ryan’s help, the boost was barely a drop in the bucket. The two old ghosts were sent flying, coughing up green ghost blood, and their pitiful barrier shattered on the spot.

"Pathetic!" Ascendant Dragon Master Longfei snorted, eyes locking onto Ryan again. "You little bastard, your turn. Get ready to die!"

Longfei wasn’t hesitating for a second—this was the perfect chance to finish off Ryan, and the best shot at swallowing up China.

Right now, Ryan could only sigh. Jiangnorth had already been gutted by war, and now the most elite U.S. fleet plus an S-Class psycho were teaming up for a full-on assault—the outcome was obvious.

Even if Ryan had godlike powers, there was no way one person could block an attack this massive!

Meanwhile, his brothers out on the perimeter were already pushed to their absolute limits.

Maybe his luck had finally run out. At this point, Ryan was almost ready to accept his fate.

Just then, Ascendant Dragon Master Longfei stepped up beside him, eyes cold as ice. He suddenly smirked, "Ryan Ling, glad you’re ready to give up—but I forgot to tell you something. Your parents were snatched by our U.S. special forces. We’re making the old folks bury their own kid. Bet that stings, huh? Hahaha!"

"You bastards! You dare touch my parents? I’ll kill you all!" At those words, Ryan exploded with rage, his Nascent Soul power burning like wildfire. His parents were his deepest nerve—kill him if you want, but mess with his family and Ryan would never let it slide!

"Perfect! Push it—all your potential, right now!" Watching Ryan’s power go wild, Longfei wasn’t scared at all. In fact, he looked even more excited. Clearly, he didn’t just want Ryan dead—he wanted every last drop of his rare power!

"I’ll kill you!" Ryan’s eyes went blood-red; for a split second, he lost all reason and charged Longfei like a berserk lion.

"Kane, now!" Longfei suddenly shouted.

On the perimeter, Admiral Kane had clearly been watching everything, totally in sync with Longfei. The instant Ryan rushed in, a barrage of savage laser beams tore through the air—way fiercer than before. In seconds, the blasts punched through his shoulder blades, ribs, hips, and legs, pinning Ryan in place!

"Aaaagh!" Ryan screamed in agony, but even with his flesh and bones ripped apart, he still swung his fist at Longfei.

"Still think you can fight me? Vajra, lock him down!" Longfei roared. Instantly, the Killing Vajra grabbed Ryan, trapping him in place while a massive Nascent Soul power net formed around him.

At that moment, Ryan lost his grip on the God-Slaughter Halberd!

The roaring Hell Furnace was snuffed out, as if someone had pinched its flame!

Even his Ghost-King Robe lost its shine, torn and ragged across his body!

Only the Primeval Heavenwood inside the Demon-Snaring Bowl remained intact, but even its glow was fading under the crushing pressure!

......

At this point, it looked absolutely hopeless. Longfei was grinning from ear to ear—Ryan was already in his grasp!

"Aaaagh!" Ryan howled again, burning with frustration and refusal to give up.

"Ryan, you only have yourself to blame for caring so much about your country and your people. If you hadn’t come back just now, catching you would’ve been way harder. But you walked right into my hands, so don’t blame me—now get over here!" Longfei was practically drooling with excitement, like an evil goblin finally getting his hands on some juicy monk meat.

At this point, Ryan was totally out of options—he couldn’t even fight back anymore.

But just as he was about to give up, a sound echoed in Ryan’s ear—not a human voice, but the roar of a dragon.

"Di—Divine Dragon?" Ryan was barely conscious, but that dragon’s roar jolted him awake, snapping his mind back into focus.

"Ryan, are you alright?" came a familiar voice—it was China’s Divine Dragon. At the most desperate moment, the dragon showed up again, and Ryan could even glimpse the majestic Crystal Palace.

Ryan’s heart was shaken to the core—this was real, not some illusion. The Divine Dragon’s power had reached the terrifying Heaven-Tribulation Stage, a level that could shatter space and time. Clearly, the dragon had recovered a lot of its strength.

"Divine Dragon, help me kill these bastards!" Ryan didn’t hesitate for a second—all he wanted was to wipe out Longfei and save his parents. He’d hidden them in the South Sea to keep them safe from the World Dominion Society, but that just gave the Americans a chance to grab them. Now, their fate was unknown, but one thing was certain—they’d suffered plenty.

"Don’t worry, I’ll help you—but brace yourself for the pain!" the Divine Dragon replied.

"I don’t care! As long as you help me kill him, I’ll pay any price!" Ryan shouted back, not hesitating for a second.

"Alright, I’m channeling my Divine Dragon Power straight into your body. You’ll get a massive boost for a short time, but your body’s already wrecked, and forcing this in will be hellish. It’s the only way, though—I still can’t leave the Crystal Palace!" the Divine Dragon said.

"Just do it!" Ryan yelled.

"Hang on!" The Divine Dragon knew Ryan wouldn’t back down, so without another word, it blasted him with infinite force. Ryan felt like he was being thrown into a boiling oil cauldron—pain like he’d never known before.

Longfei just sneered, eyes mocking. "Ryan Ling, I haven’t even started yet, and you’re already losing it from a couple laser blasts. When I really get going, you’ll be bawling for your mommy and daddy. Call me daddy and maybe I’ll go easy on you!"

But as soon as Longfei finished, Ryan’s aura suddenly shifted...
