Victorious Attitude

12/2/2025

The young courtesan whimpered as he was beaten, pleading for mercy with every cry.

Zhao Yanchuan hurriedly pulled Princess Mira away, but Princess Mira refused to give up. Tears streamed down her face as she realized that she had ruined her reputation for this man and been caught in the act by everyone—she regretted it bitterly.

"Everything is perfectly clear. Does the Crown Prince of Chu have anything left to say in his defense?" Emperor Jin Xuan glared at Zhao Yanchuan, his face livid with anger.

Cold sweat poured down Zhao Yanchuan’s back. For such a scandal to break out right at the moment of the marriage alliance—he was in deep trouble now!

Princess Mira was still shouting nonsense, but Zhao Yanchuan had no patience for his reckless sister. He ordered her mouth to be gagged and had her tied up and thrown aside.

As for the young courtesan, he was an eyesore, so Alexander Hayes had him dragged out without a second thought.

The room was left in utter silence. Prince Ling slumped into his chair, his eyes bloodshot as he stared at Princess Mira, looking as if all the strength had been drained from his body.

Princess Mira kept her head down, her eyes vacant. Suddenly, Su Li’s silent words from earlier echoed in her mind, and everything clicked into place!

So this was all Su Li’s plan—a trap she’d set, luring Princess Mira in and orchestrating her disgrace in the bridal suite. Her reputation was ruined for life!

Su Li!!!

Princess Mira lifted her head, her bloodshot eyes burning with hatred for Su Li. If looks could kill, Su Li would have been riddled with holes by now.

But Su Li didn’t flinch. She met Princess Mira’s gaze, her expression calm and unyielding—like a victor surveying her defeated foe.

In the end, Princess Mira was dragged away in disgrace, her sobs echoing through the hall. The once-glorious wedding had turned into a farce, and the alliance between Jin and Chu hung by a thread.

Emperor Jin Xuan slammed his hand on the table, his anger barely contained. "Since Princess Mira has lost all dignity, the marriage alliance will proceed with Princess May Chu instead!"

Princess May Chu was caught off guard. She glanced at Charles Chu, who gave her a reassuring nod, and then quietly stepped forward.

Prince Ling looked at Princess May Chu, his expression complicated. He accepted her hand, and the two stood before the crowd, the ceremony continuing in awkward silence.

The guests whispered among themselves, unable to hide their shock and confusion at the sudden change in brides.

Meanwhile, Alexander Hayes quietly approached Su Li. "Well played," he murmured, his eyes glinting with admiration.

Su Li didn’t respond. She simply smiled faintly, her gaze drifting to the chaos she’d unleashed.

The hall was filled with awkward laughter and forced congratulations, the air thick with tension.

As the ceremony concluded, Princess May Chu and Prince Ling bowed to the guests. The alliance between Jin and Chu was sealed, but everyone knew things would never be the same.

Princess Mira was led away in disgrace, her cries fading into the distance.

Su Li stood quietly, her eyes cold and resolute. She had won this battle, but the war was far from over.

Thus ended the wedding that would be remembered for generations—not as a union of two kingdoms, but as the day Princess Mira lost everything.
