Assault on the Sacred Mountain Avatar

Chapter 1184: The Golden Orcs' Battle Qi weapon blazed with power, forging a path through the chaos.

On the other side, eighteen Sky Rank experts—including Kros, the Golden Orc chieftain—had already unleashed their full power. Countless bursts of Battle Qi and spells, in every conceivable form, rained down upon the Sacred Mountain Avatar.

Raging flames, chilling frost, howling hurricanes, massive boulders, light and darkness, scarlet Battle Qi, golden Battle Qi, bronze Battle Qi...

The attacks filled the sky, forming a chaotic torrent of destruction, each strike landing one after another, crowding in on the Sacred Mountain Avatar.

Yet this violent storm of destruction—enough to tear a Sky Rank being to shreds in three seconds—began to sink toward the ground as it entered within a hundred meters of the Sacred Mountain Avatar's body.

Even spells falling straight from the sky were distorted and shredded by the constantly shifting gravity within that space.

Most attacks landed thirty meters away from the Sacred Mountain Avatar, and only a few managed to get within thirty meters—yet even those had little effect.

The only real effect was the destructive aftermath as the storm was dragged down to the ground—these shockwaves couldn’t be held by gravity, and the massive torrent crashed along the earth, slamming into the Sacred Mountain Avatar’s outer shell.

But against the Sacred Mountain Avatar’s terrifying defense, it barely mattered. The raging, destructive force only managed to grind at the bloodbone armor covering its body, making the metallic sheen grow rough and streaked with cracks that quickly spread.

Yet with the flow of magical power, the Sacred Mountain Avatar’s bloodbone armor swiftly returned to normal. It endured spells from over a dozen Sky Rank experts—including Crompton, the human mage leader—without even flinching. Just like the mountain itself, no matter how great the upheaval, nothing could shake it.

“Damn it, the Golden Orcs’ Battle Qi weapon...!” Crompton cursed, his voice edged with desperation.

As he cursed, the shadow of a demi-plane behind Crompton bloomed with a gentle, milky-white glow. A halo appeared in midair, and from it descended a Radiant Angel—only half a meter tall, but with wings over two meters long.

The Radiant Angel sang a cold, gentle hymn, flooding the area with waves of luminous magic pouring from the demi-plane.

In an instant, it was as if a hole had been torn in the midnight sky—a pillar of light, more than a meter thick, crashed down from the heavens, grinding into the Sacred Mountain Avatar.

Under the radiance, the bloodbone armor covering the Sacred Mountain Avatar’s body rapidly weathered and disintegrated; the crimson bones decayed and turned white.

The enormous aura, towering like a mountain, swiftly weakened under the pillar of light...

The supergravity zone around the Sacred Mountain Avatar shrank rapidly, and the gravitational force itself kept diminishing...

Crompton coordinated with the luminous little angel hovering overhead, channeling the light pillar to suppress the Sacred Mountain Avatar’s power.

The rain of flaming meteors from the sky was halved, and the Battle Qi storm weakened by half as well. With Kros unleashing his full strength, most of the Sacred Mountain Avatar’s power was forced down.

Tens of thousands of Rule Runes barely responded to this power. Leon’s left arm was pierced by a blood needle; the rest, he managed to avoid by shifting into his Elemental Avatar form.

“Kros, if you don’t go all out now, we’re all going to die here!”

Crompton hovered in midair, the shadow of a demi-plane flickering behind him. Waves of magical power rippled outward, visible to the naked eye like a spreading tide.

With Crompton’s face darkening as he growled, Kros finally frowned and raised his massive sword. The enormous blade rapidly shrank, compressed by layers of Battle Qi, until it became a giant sword less than four meters long.

The sword shrank several times, but its aura grew two or three times stronger. Magical runes lit up on its surface, forming pale golden patterns that clung to Kros’s weapon.

In an instant, tiny spatial cracks appeared around the blade’s edge—its sheer sharpness could slice through space itself!

Kros became a blur, instantly charging into the gravity zone around the Sacred Mountain Avatar. Moving so fast he was nearly invisible, he only reappeared when he was about ten meters from the Avatar.

The four-meter sword slashed viciously toward the Sacred Mountain Avatar’s head. Instantly, the Avatar’s right hand snatched out, golden Battle Qi surging forth—condensing into a golden greatsword over three meters long.

The two golden greatswords clashed over and over, flashes of golden light obscuring the fighters until their forms were nearly invisible.

Hovering in midair, Crompton cursed under his breath, frowning.
