Fearless

Allen Ju calmly looked at Night Spring.

Everyone else was watching Allen Ju.

At this moment, the sense of responsibility Allen Ju showed really surprised many people present.

"Who would've thought, Allen Ju is actually this kind of person."

"I used to think Allen Ju's calm and composure were all because of his Ju family status and the confidence it gave him. But now, it looks like he really has guts himself."

People whispered to each other, mostly shocked by how Allen Ju was acting right now.

Don’t be fooled by how these friends swagger around every day—their confidence all comes from the backing their families give them.

If it were someone else, abandoned by their family and facing Nightstar alone, they’d probably be so scared they couldn’t even stand up straight.

Allen Ju stood alone, facing the whole Nightstar crowd.

On the other side, Martin Wu tried several times to step forward, but the Ju family members guarding the area stopped him every time.

They simply couldn’t get close—there was no way they could start a fight with the Ju family members.

"You’ve surprised me a little."

Night Spring was silent for a while, then looked at Allen Ju. "I thought you’d use the Ju family’s power to fight us."

"But seeing you be so decisive, I actually kind of admire it."

"Here’s the deal: we won’t make things hard for you. As an ordinary Allen Ju, you really have no right to get involved in what’s happening now."

Night Autumn spoke up from the side, looking at Allen Ju: "Right now, you’re just a regular guy with zero value or background. It’s not your place to butt in."

"So it’s simple—just tell us who your friend is, and where he is now. If you do, we’ll leave today. How about it?"

Night Autumn’s tone was flat, his face arrogant, and there was a mocking look in his eyes as he stared at Allen Ju.

"As Third Young Master Ju, you had the capital to make Nightstar take you seriously. But as Allen Ju, you don’t." Night Winter nodded in agreement. "Now that you’re just Allen Ju, and the old man of your family has spoken, you’ve been punished one way or another."

"So just say it—tell us that guy’s identity and where he is. As long as you do, this has nothing to do with you anymore. We won’t give you any trouble for it, either."

Night Summer didn’t say anything, but his silence made his stance clear.

The four strongest Nightstar instructors—Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter—had made their positions obvious.

No matter how furious Nightstar was, once Allen Ju lost his Third Young Master status, their anger pretty much faded away.

Being Third Young Master Ju meant everything—losing that identity basically ruined Allen Ju’s whole future.

Nightstar wasn’t looking to wipe him out completely. They just wanted to save face; now that they had, there was no need to keep pressing.

"His identity—you can investigate it yourselves."

Allen Ju looked at Night Spring and the others. "As for his whereabouts, I don’t know."

"And even if I did know, unless he comes out on his own, I wouldn’t tell you guys."

Allen Ju shook his head, speaking with calm confidence.

He had barely finished speaking.

Selina Wu and the others felt their hearts suddenly sink.

Even Martin Wu and Leon Lu saw it—Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter suddenly surged with fierce qi.

That qi was almost tangible, turning into countless phantom blades, spears, and staves, wrapping Allen Ju up and closing in from every direction.

Even those some distance from the center—even Leon Lu, who considered himself pretty strong—couldn’t help but change expression under the crushing pressure.

Chase Ju had planned to get closer and watch Allen Ju’s humiliation, but before he could, the pressure pinned him so hard he couldn’t move.

Not only could he not move, but cold sweat broke out on his back and his legs went weak, as if he might collapse at any moment.

Meanwhile, the Ju patriarch sat steady as a mountain, his gaze on Allen Ju’s back—the lone figure standing up to Nightstar’s strongest, holding out as best he could. There was a hint of comfort in the old man’s eyes.

Beside the Ju patriarch, the chief steward wore a faint smile, completely unconcerned by what was happening.

He was the Ju family’s chief steward—a real expert. If the patriarch gave the word, he’d jump in and fight Nightstar’s people.

He was absolutely confident he could handle Nightstar’s crowd.

The real issue was, behind Nightstar was Moonshade, and behind Moonshade was Hidden Dragon.

No matter how strong the Ju family was, there was no way they could beat Moonshade, let alone Hidden Dragon.

Today, the Ju patriarch mainly wanted to see Allen Ju’s character. He wasn’t happy that Allen would throw away the Ju family for a so-called friend so decisively, but the courage and backbone Allen had shown made the old man see him in a new light.

But the patriarch still hadn’t decided to speak up—he wanted to see just how far Allen Ju could hold out.

After all, he was facing Nightstar’s four strongest.

"Still not planning to talk?"

Night Spring’s eyes grew cold as she looked at Allen Ju. "I respect your choice, but honestly, I still think you’re pretty stupid."

"You’re really going to stand against all of Nightstar for some nobody?"

"Or do you think, just because you’re shielding him, he’ll be safe and sound?"

"Too naive!"

Night Spring’s voice was icy cold.

The massive pressure net formed by their qi kept shrinking tighter.

They could even sense the fear and nervousness coming from Allen Ju.

It was a pure physical reaction to danger, totally out of his mind’s control—yet even as his body was about to give out, Allen Ju’s eyes were shockingly calm and resolute.

He looked like he was ready to die.

That kind of determination stunned the Nightstar people again.

Next to Night Spring, Night Summer frowned. He’d just returned to Beijing today, and had only heard bits and pieces about what happened before.

Actually, Night Summer had spent most of this time training Nightstar’s people.

He’d been teaching the Nine-Star Burst Fist and Qi Source Body-Forging Art they got from Su Yuantian in southern Beijing.

Night Summer had just arrived today and hadn’t had time to figure out who exactly had clashed with Nightstar.

Seeing Allen Ju so dead-set on protecting that guy actually made Night Summer curious about his identity.

"What should we do now?"

Selina Wu’s mind raced—the situation was spinning out of control. She pressed her lips together, and suddenly her phone started buzzing in her pocket.
