On the wide, incense-scented bed, two perfect people gazed at each other as if time itself had stopped.
"Is there something on my face?" Ivy Shen, lying on the bed, scrunched up her little face and looked up at Lucian Vane, who was leaning over her.
Lucian didn’t answer her. He just kept staring seriously at the person beneath him, his heart overflowing with sweetness. He was so happy that he couldn’t stop grinning from ear to ear.
No matter how long it’s been, as long as he sees her, all his worries disappear.
Loving someone feels absolutely amazing—he likes it, really likes it!
"Hey, what are you laughing at?" Ivy thought there must be something on her face, so she reached out to wipe it, wondering if there was a smudge or something. Otherwise, why was he smiling so sneakily?!
"Don’t move!" Suddenly, Lucian grabbed her hand, his voice magnetic and seductive. "Let me take a good look at you," he said, his words brimming with deep affection.
Seeing this, Ivy’s smile spread unconsciously. "What’s there to look at? You see me every day—haven’t you had enough yet?"
"Never enough. Not in one lifetime, not in ten!" Lucian couldn’t help but gently stroke her face. His touch was so soft, as if he were handling a priceless treasure, afraid it might break.
Ivy, do you know? In my heart, you’re like a priceless treasure. One lifetime, ten lifetimes—I’ll never get enough, never ever.
Hearing those words, Ivy felt like her heart had been drenched in sweetness. That feeling made her so, so happy.
But... his hand...
"Uh... don’t move!" The moment his hand brushed her cheek, Ivy’s brows furrowed slightly. The next second, she grabbed his hand and flipped it over—his palm was covered in bloody cuts, crisscrossed and shocking.
Seeing this, Ivy immediately sat up and clutched his hand tight, demanding, "What happened?"
"Uh..." Seeing Ivy suddenly sit up, Lucian straightened too, his eyes darting away. "Uh, I just went to pick lotuses... I guess I got pricked by the flowers!" His gaze was anything but natural.
He really couldn’t lie to her, no matter what.
"Lotuses? Do lotuses even have thorns? And anyway, these wounds definitely aren’t fresh. Spill—what really happened?" Actually, Adrian Night had already told her the truth, but seeing Lucian’s battered palm in person still made her heart ache.
This fool. Why doesn’t he ever say anything? Why does he always hide things? He’s so stupid—so stupid she doesn’t even know how to love him right.
"Ivy—" Seeing her little face turn sad, Lucian quickly squeezed her hand to comfort her. "Ivy, really, it’s nothing. I... I got these fighting with Butterfly Rogue, you know I don’t like him, so fighting’s pretty normal, right?"
Seeing her frown, seeing her sadness, Lucian’s heart twisted painfully—worse than any injury.
Hearing that, Ivy stared at him seriously for a second—then suddenly threw herself into his arms, voice choked with tears: "You idiot! Why did you hide it from me? Why do so much for me and still keep it secret? You fool, you fool..."
"Ivy—" Lucian was startled by her tone, quickly holding her shoulders so they were face to face. "What’s wrong, Ivy? Don’t cry! When you cry, my heart goes all haywire—don’t cry." Lucian anxiously wiped away her tears with his thumb.
Did she find out something? Right now, he was worried—really worried.
"Why did you hide it from me? Adrian Night already told me. You did so much for me but never said a word—are you stupid, or what?" She looked at him, her eyes brimming with tears, accusing: this idiot, why won’t he just say it?
"Yes, yes, yes!" Lucian hurried to wipe her tears and agree. But the next second, he grew serious: "I’m willing to be your fool. Just yours! Okay?" Even if he was a fool, he’d be the happiest fool in the world—he really meant it.
"Bad guy, bad guy!" Right now, Ivy dropped all her masks and turned into a sweet little woman—and that look totally scrambled Lucian’s brain.
"Ivy..." Suddenly, his voice grew rough and husky.
"Huh?" Hearing his voice change, Ivy pouted and looked at him, her teary face like a little flower in the rain.
Lucian’s gaze locked onto her pouty lips—her pitiful, rain-kissed look utterly demolished his self-control. The next moment, he lifted her chin with a finger and, unable to resist, pressed his lips to hers.
Ivy was stunned for a moment, then smiled softly and started to kiss him back.
She loved him. Truly loved him.
Lucian’s blazing passion set Ivy alight too; her body slowly responded, and her boldness surprised him.
"Mmm..." That electric, tingling sensation made Lucian gasp softly, the fire inside him burning hotter and hotter, almost unbearable.
Seeing this, Ivy smiled and boldly looped her arms around his neck, switching from passive to daringly active. She started taking control, nibbling his lips and slipping off his clothes. Her boldness made Lucian absolutely ecstatic.
"Ivy... Ivy..." Lucian responded passionately to her heated kisses.
"Huh?" Suddenly, just when Ivy thought she was in control, she found herself beneath Lucian instead. She suddenly felt a chill—looked down, and realized she was completely naked.
"Ivy—" Lucian gazed down at her, utterly mesmerized, swallowing hard. Gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous!
"No looking!" Ivy quickly tried to cover herself. Even though she was usually cunning and sly, when it came to this stuff, she just couldn’t help blushing.

Seeing that, Lucian’s smile grew even wider. He gently picked up her hands—and the next second, he was in complete control.
"Mmm..." Ivy closed her eyes and couldn’t help but murmur softly, her body slowly changing bit by bit.
"Ivy, I want you..." Lucian couldn’t wait any longer—before Ivy could answer, he poured out all his pent-up longing into her.
A while later—
Lucian held her close, gently kissed her forehead, and felt completely satisfied. "Ivy..."
"Huh?"
"They’re all really good guys!" Suddenly, Lucian’s voice grew unusually serious.
Hearing that, Ivy looked up at him—and his enchanting eyes were smiling at her. "Ivy, they’re all perfect, and they truly care about you."
"Aren’t you jealous?"
"Of course I’m jealous! If I wasn’t, it wouldn’t be love, right? But I know—Ivy, you’re so perfect, you deserve to have so many perfect men watching over you. Ethan Chu is a king, and for you, he’s willing to be just one of your husbands. That’s real love. As for Butterfly Rogue, well, I don’t really like him, but sometimes he’s pretty sincere. And then there’s Caleb Miles—he was your husband from the start. The four of us married you together!"
Hearing that, Ivy snuggled closer, wrapping her arms tightly around his waist. "Lucian, I know they care about me. But I really don’t plan to accept them any further. I’m confident I’ll win at the Six‑Realm Martial Conference, but I don’t know why—I have a really bad feeling. Like something awful is going to happen. I don’t want them dragged into it. I don’t want to owe them anymore. If I don’t make any promises, then even if something happens to me, they won’t have to worry about me!"
"Don’t say things like that!" Lucian quickly sat her up, eyes full of reproach. "Don’t talk nonsense like that."
"Heh, just joking. Honestly, you have zero sense of humor." Tina Ruan forced a little smile, but inside, her heart felt bitter.
"Don’t ever say things like that again, okay? Whether you accept them or not, you’re never leaving me—got it?" With that, he pulled her tightly into his arms, his body trembling at her words.
It was clear just how much he cared about her, how deeply he loved her.
Lying in Lucian’s arms, Ivy’s smile faded. That awful premonition in her heart grew stronger and stronger. It looked like the Six‑Realm Martial Conference really would turn bloody. No—she absolutely couldn’t rack up more emotional debts. Butterfly Rogue, Caleb Miles, Liam Willow... I’m sorry. This is the only way. I have to do this. I’m sorry...
