Call Me the Show-Off Ian

"Run!"

That was Elder Jude Huang's instinctive reaction, and he acted on it immediately—his figure blurred as he darted out of the courtyard at full speed.

Seeing this, Victor Huang, already gravely injured, was so furious that he coughed up another mouthful of blood.

The next moment, Victor Huang forced himself upright, glared at Ian Song, and asked bitterly, "Just who are you?"

With unstoppable force and murderous intent, his black long blade turned into a streak of dark lightning, slashing straight toward Ian Song.

Victor Huang was stunned for a moment, then gave a bitter laugh. He and his men had been blinded by the lure of a third-grade treasure, rushing in without even bothering to investigate Ian Song’s background—and now, this was the price they paid.

Still, even if the three of them brought this on themselves, the deaths of his second and third brothers had to be avenged.

Ian Song kicked out, and the moment Victor Huang reached him, he sent the patriarch flying with a single blow. Victor crashed into the courtyard wall, bringing the entire wall down with a thunderous rumble.

Spurt!

Victor Huang staggered out from the collapsed wall, staring at Ian Song in disbelief. He spat another mouthful of blood, despair filling his eyes. "Why? Why is it that even after reaching late Foundation Establishment, I still can't beat you!"

Finally, after three breaths, his aura reached its peak.

"Kill!"

His body shot forward like lightning, so fast that even the air exploded in a sonic boom.

Boom!

With unstoppable force and murderous intent, his black long blade turned into a streak of dark lightning, slashing straight toward Ian Song.

But...

Bang!

Ian Song kicked out, and the moment Victor Huang reached him, he sent the patriarch flying with a single blow. Victor crashed into the courtyard wall, bringing the entire wall down with a thunderous rumble.

Splat!

Victor Huang staggered out from the collapsed wall, staring at Ian Song in disbelief. He spat another mouthful of blood, despair filling his eyes. "Why? Why is it that even after reaching late Foundation Establishment, I still can’t beat you!"

"Because my cultivation is above the Foundation Establishment Realm!" Ian Song replied with a smile.

With a blur of movement, Ian Song appeared in front of Victor Huang, reached out, and grabbed his throat—then, with a sharp crack, snapped his opponent’s neck.

Victor Huang’s life force faded rapidly, but even as he was dying, he still managed to ask Ian Song about his cultivation.

Ian Song quietly revealed his true cultivation.

With a casual flick, Ian Song sent out several fireballs, burning the bodies of Victor Huang and the others to ash. Then he returned to his room, while Wendy Lin—who lived next door—slept soundly through the entire night.

Ian Song rose to his feet and walked out, Wendy Lin trailing behind him. Together, they left Sanyang Town. Meanwhile, back at the Huang family estate, someone mounted a spirit beast and sped off toward the Four Beasts Sect.

After a moment’s hesitation, Wendy placed her small hand in his. Ian Song pulled her into his arms, squeezed his legs lightly, and the Wind-Shadow Leopard shot off like a gale.

Needless to say, the young man and woman were Ian Song and Wendy Lin.

The young master flicked his wrist, snapping open his folding fan with a flourish. Looking suave, he flashed a smile at Wendy Lin. "Brian Rong greets this young lady. May I ask your name?"

"That Brian Rong is notorious for chasing women. That girl’s doomed."

"Of course that’s a lie. He doesn’t want to help you find your cousin—he just wants to lure you to his house!" Ian Song set down his chopsticks, looking exasperated, then glanced up at Brian Rong. "Get lost before I get angry!"

Ian Song snorted lightly, slapped his palm on the table, and two chopsticks sprang up, shooting forward like twin bolts of lightning.

Seeing this, the crowd—who had just assumed Ian Song was doomed—were stunned, their jaws dropping wide enough to fit a fist inside.
