At that moment, Gordon Zeng stood up and walked toward the entrance. The distinguished guests present also rose and followed him outside to greet the newcomers.

Martin Yang dominates both the legal and illegal worlds. For people like them, his power and wealth are truly extraordinary.

"But, but Dad, I—I really have something important to tell you—" Damian Zeng hurriedly stood up and stammered, following behind Gordon Zeng.

"Honestly, kid, you never learn to stop being so rash—" Gordon Zeng frowned, turned back, and glared fiercely at Damian Zeng.

"I—I—" Damian Zeng's chubby face turned bright red. He gritted his teeth, just about to finally spill what he'd been holding in. But then he saw someone appear at the doorway, and his scalp tingled—he couldn't get a word out.

"You little punk, what's wrong with you now? If you have something to say, say it now—stop dragging it out like an old woman!" Gordon Zeng, not noticing his son's change in expression, saw his quail-like demeanor and felt a surge of annoyance, almost wanting to knock him on the head.

"I—I—I—" Damian Zeng stared at the person walking in through the doorway, unable to say a word.

"Hehe—here I am—hello, Mr. Zeng!" The person at the entrance greeted Gordon Zeng with a cheerful shout.

Gordon Zeng was taken aback, quickly turned his head, and was first surprised, then smiled, "Oh, it's Young Master Yang! You've arrived early! Welcome, welcome! Where's your esteemed father?"

It turned out the person who appeared first was Darren Yang. After being mysteriously attacked and knocked out, he'd been sulking for ages, brooding and convinced that Damian Zeng was the main suspect. The more he thought about it, the more he couldn't let it go, so he barged in, determined to confront Damian face-to-face.

"Oh—Mr. Zeng, you might not know this, but I'm good friends with Damian. His engagement is a big deal, so I got here early! I was dancing over at the young people's dance floor—" Darren Yang said politely with a smile.

"Oh, so Young Master Yang is already here, and he's good friends with my son! You young people should definitely spend more time together!" Gordon Zeng said happily.

"Haha—yeah, I've been hanging out with Damian all day. But just when everyone was having fun, he suddenly disappeared, so I came over to look for him. Turns out, he's really here—haha—" Darren Yang said, shooting a cold smile at Damian Zeng.

"Oh Damian, are you out of your mind? It's rare for someone like Young Master Yang to want to be friends with you, and you run off here? That's not how the Zeng family treats guests! Hurry up and explain yourself to Young Master Yang—" Gordon Zeng scolded, turning to the terrified Damian Zeng.

"Uh—I—I—" Damian Zeng felt Darren Yang's gaze crawling all over him, making his skin crawl. He couldn't get a word out for a long moment.

"Haha—Damian, tonight's your big engagement night, don't be so nervous! As your good friend, I promise I'll celebrate with you properly!" Darren Yang said, watching Damian's nervous face, his suspicions growing, but still smiling.

"See that? Young Master Yang is so well-mannered and polite. You should really learn from him!" Gordon Zeng lectured Damian Zeng again.

"Learn, I'll learn—" Damian Zeng was so anxious he was nearly losing his mind, forcing a smile uglier than crying.

"Damian, this is where the elders chat. We're the young crowd, it's boring here—let's head back!" Darren Yang grinned at Damian Zeng.

"No, I'm not—I'm not going back—" Damian Zeng refused frantically. He knew perfectly well that if he went back, Darren Yang would definitely find a way to mess with him!

At this moment, Gordon Zeng spoke up. "Young Master Yang, don't worry, your esteemed father will be here soon. When he arrives, the elders will have a private gathering. Why don't you and Damian stay here and mingle as well?"

Just as he finished speaking, footsteps sounded from outside, followed by hearty laughter: "Hahaha—today really is a great day! It's so lively, everyone's here!"

Everyone turned toward the entrance and saw Martin Yang, dressed in a black Tang suit, walking in slowly. But the real attention-grabber was the woman on his arm!

The woman was tall—actually half a head taller than Martin Yang—with striking, fashionable short red hair. Her exposed skin had a unique bronze glow, and her face was youthful and beautiful. She wore a stunning gold evening gown, her figure curvy and graceful, like a golden mermaid, and she sported two big, glittering gold earrings.

But what really set her apart was her vibe—she had a cold, glamorous air, but her eyebrows were thick and shaped like knives, rare for women. When she spotted Darren Yang at the door, her brows furrowed and her lips twisted to the side, revealing a fierce, intimidating aura.

"Haha—welcome! Welcome! After all this waiting, Boss Yang, you've finally arrived. Your presence truly brings honor to Zeng Manor!" Gordon Zeng and the other distinguished guests immediately went up to greet them.

"Not at all, not at all. Sorry to keep everyone waiting—my apologies!" Martin Yang quickly cupped his hands in apology.

"Boss Yang, may I ask, who is this beautiful lady?" Gordon Zeng asked with interest. Everyone knew that any woman who could appear so intimately with Martin Yang was no ordinary person.

Before Martin Yang could reply, the woman introduced herself: "Oh, I'm Sylvia Kim. And old man, let me warn you—don't call me 'Miss' again. I can't stand it!"

As soon as she spoke, everyone was stunned. The same thought popped into everyone's mind: "Fierce!"

Even Martin Yang's face was a spectacle, turning red and white by turns. He gave an awkward laugh and sheepishly explained to the dumbfounded Gordon Zeng, "Haha—Sylvia, she's my niece, and also the treasured daughter of Kim Kang-hwan, head of the Seven Stars Syndicate in Korea! Her personality is... well, pretty direct!"

"Uh—Kim Kang-hwan of the Seven Stars Syndicate!!" Gordon Zeng was stunned, his mind racing. Suddenly, realization struck and he forced out a smile: "Oh—so you're the daughter of Boss Kim! No wonder you have such presence! My apologies for misspeaking earlier. It's a true honor to have you at Zeng Manor for the banquet—welcome, welcome!"

Sylvia Kim shot Gordon Zeng a cold look, nodded slightly, then glanced at Darren Yang and pointed at him. She asked Martin Yang in a low voice, "Uncle Yang, is this your son, Darren Yang?"

"Yep, that's Darren!" Martin Yang said with a smile.

Sylvia Kim raised her brows and locked her gaze on Darren Yang. She let go of Martin Yang's arm, strode up to Darren, and stood face to face with him, nearly matching his height.

Then Sylvia did something even fiercer—she hooked her right index finger under Darren Yang's chin and teased with a sweet voice, "Hehe—kid, give me a smile!"
