Father and Son's Nature

Cecilia Gu was truly speechless!

Is this really my daughter?

She's a little troublemaker!

Sean Kerr laughed for a long time. "Yina is really just like a boy! No wonder all the boys want to play with her!"

Mason Mao suddenly spoke up, "She's really good at playing."

Sean Kerr smiled and said, "Do you want to join in too?"

Mason Mao glanced in the direction Yina left, pressed his lips together, and stayed silent.

He might not have spoken, but his eyes said it all.

Cecilia Gu smiled and said, "Come to school early tomorrow. Yina will play with you all!"

Mason Mao looked at Cecilia Gu, then at Sean Kerr, thought for a moment, and finally reached out his hand to Sean Kerr.

He hadn't seen his mother in a very, very long time.

Since this man was his father, he might as well go with him.

Sean Kerr held that small hand, as if he was holding an entire world.

Even someone as numb as Sean Kerr couldn't help but feel a ripple in his heart.

"Goodbye, Chairwoman." Mason Mao waved at Cecilia Gu.

"Goodbye! Come to school early tomorrow and play with them." Cecilia Gu smiled as she said goodbye.

Mason Mao nodded, looked up at Sean Kerr, his eyes flickering, but said nothing.

After saying goodbye to Cecilia Gu, Sean Kerr took Mason Mao back to his own villa.

"This is where I'm staying for now. Of course, 'for now' might mean a long time," Sean Kerr said meaningfully to Mason Mao. "Do you mind that it's not fancy enough?"

Mason Mao shook his head. "Someone who doesn't even have a home wouldn't complain about someone else's place not being fancy enough."

That one sentence nearly made Sean Kerr's nose sting with emotion.

Mason Mao was the same age as Lucas Mu—barely three years old, yet already acting like a big kid. How could that not tug at your heart?

"Come on, let me show you the bedrooms," Sean Kerr said, reaching out to lead Mason Mao from room to room.

Anywhere Mason Mao's eyes lit up, Sean Kerr would set aside just for him.

After picking out a room, Sean Kerr immediately had someone start decorating a children's bedroom.

Mason Mao followed Sean Kerr to the dining room, reluctant to leave, and asked cautiously, "Can I come back here again in the future?"

"Of course," Sean Kerr smiled, holding Mason Mao's hand. "From now on, this is your home. Except for school, you can come back here anytime. I'll arrange for a few people to take care of you." Sean Kerr gently patted Mason Mao's head. "Come on, let's eat."

Sitting across from Sean Kerr, Mason Mao finally looked a little less tense.

It was obvious he really longed for a home.

Even though the man before him claimed to be his father, Mason still hadn’t truly accepted him in his heart.

But he wanted a home so badly.

Even if he was being lied to, he was still happy.

"Sir, would you like cilantro in the dish?" the chef asked Sean Kerr.

Sean Kerr and Mason Mao answered in unison, "No cilantro."

After they spoke, both of them froze for a moment, then glanced at each other.

Sean Kerr burst out laughing. He ruffled Mason Mao's hair and said, "You really are my son!"

Mason Mao lowered his head, hiding his feelings.

After dinner, a servant came to report that the room had been set up.

Mason Mao suddenly looked up at Sean Kerr. "Can I... can I sleep with you tonight?"

Sean Kerr was stunned.
