Things were going downhill fast—dead serious, life-or-death stuff. But right at the breaking point, Chief Mira didn’t even blink. She dove straight into the chaos, all guns blazing. Sure, she’d just healed up, but as a Profound Immortal, she was leagues above any ordinary Divine Immortal. The second she made her move, the whole scene flipped: the two Savage Tribe dudes who were about to flatten the High Priestess got sent flying, smashed up bad in a blink!
"High Priestess, you good?" Chief Mira rushed over and hauled her up.
"I'm fine!" The High Priestess wiped blood off her mouth, then shot the Savage Tribe men a look that could kill.
Ryan Ling felt a chill—so that’s why the High Priestess hated men so much. She must’ve been screwed over by the Savage Tribe before.
"You little bitch, how are you still alive after all that poison?" one of the Savage Tribe guys sneered, eyes full of nasty intent. Chief Mira’s rage exploded—she snapped back, yelling:
"So it was you bastards who made my life hell! You’re dead!" Chief Mira roared, voice shaking with fury.
"Just now figuring it out? Wow, you’re dumb as rocks!" The Savage Tribe guy mocked, laying it on thick. Ryan Ling clocked it—this guy was Profound Immortal, and actually a bit stronger than Chief Mira!
The Primordial Tribe’s women were totally spent. The Savage Tribe had a Profound Immortal and at least a dozen Divine Immortals—no way the Primordial Tribe could handle that. Even Chief Mira was running on fumes.
Ryan Ling couldn’t just sit around, but he knew he was only Divine Immortal at best. Going up against a Profound Immortal? That’d be suicide. If Chief Mira tried, she’d get wrecked—no chance.
No way was Ryan Ling gonna watch her get trashed. He powered up, ready to throw down at a moment’s notice.
But then, Chief Mira snapped—she couldn’t hold back any longer. She charged like a beast at the Savage Tribe’s squad. Most of those guys were only Divine Immortal—no way they could stop her. The second she went off, the enemy lines broke—everyone scrambled back, totally crushed by her boss-level strike!
But the Savage Tribe had their own big boss—the Profound Immortal leader didn’t hesitate, rocketing into the air to throw down.
"Damn, didn’t think you were this tough, old hag! Wanna fight me? You’re roadkill!" The Profound Immortal shouted, hyped up. His Profound Immortal force slammed into Chief Mira—BOOM! She staggered back, coughing up black blood, looking like she’d been hit by a truck.
Chief Mira just couldn’t keep up with that guy. She’d barely recovered—making it this far was already nuts.
"Heh, you’re toast now. No more talking—I’ll send you packing and take your whole tribe!" The Profound Immortal wasn’t wasting time. He was about to finish her for good. Ryan Ling knew if he didn’t jump in, Chief Mira and the whole tribe were done for. Brutal fights like this were probably nothing out here—wipe a tribe, nobody cares. To the real big shots, even Golden Immortals are just ants brawling in the mud.
Chief Mira could feel it—her number was up. Facing that psycho’s killing blow, she just squeezed her eyes shut and braced for the end.
But right at crunch time, Ryan Ling didn’t flinch—he went all in. Sure, he was only Divine Immortal now, but in the Demonic World, he’d hit half-step Da Luo Golden Immortal, wrecking even peak Golden Immortals. That kind of power could shake worlds. Even though he’d dropped back, he still had traces of Golden Immortal pressure. So he threw everything into one move, stirring up that leftover aura and making his attack look scary as hell.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Ryan Ling dove in front of Chief Mira. That wild aura hit like a shockwave—Profound Immortal dude turned ghost-pale. The attack didn’t actually hurt him, but his spirit got wrecked—Golden Immortal pressure swirling everywhere, and he almost dropped to his knees. Ryan’s bluff was perfect; he came off like a total boss!
"Wh—who the hell are you?" The Profound Immortal stammered, eyes bugging out in terror. Dude was shook!
"If you don’t wanna die, get lost—right now! Otherwise, I’ll wipe out your whole tribe with a flick of my finger!" Ryan Ling dropped the full Golden Immortal act, aura raging like a storm. The Profound Immortal didn’t dare hang around—he bolted, not even daring to say a word!
Only when the guy was gone did Ryan Ling finally let out a big sigh. He knew it was all bluff—if that dude had any guts, Ryan’s pressure alone wouldn’t have saved them. And he was painfully aware: this trick only works once. When those Savage Tribe idiots calm down, they’ll be back for blood. Ryan couldn’t stick around—he had to hit Lovers’ Gorge and grab his body fragment. Only then would he be truly OP. Next time, even if a hundred Savage Tribe goons show up, Ryan could wipe the floor with them!
"Husband, you’re amazing! If you hadn’t stepped up today, our whole tribe would’ve been toast!" Chief Mira grabbed Ryan Ling, eyes shining with gratitude.
The High Priestess went even further—she dropped to her knees in front of Ryan Ling, totally ashamed of how she’d treated him before.
Ryan Ling wasn’t in the mood to chat. He helped the women up, then pulled Chief Mira aside. Before, their power gap made him hesitate, but after this fight, the trust was real—he could finally ask what mattered.
"I gotta ask you something—super important. You gotta be straight with me!" Ryan Ling said, voice urgent.
"Just ask, husband! If I know, I’ll spill everything!" Chief Mira nodded, dead serious.
"Alright, simple question—did you ever fall into a cliff nearby?" Ryan Ling fired off.
"A cliff?" Chief Mira blinked, then her eyes went wide. "Oh! Lovers’ Gorge! Last year, I fell in and was stuck for three days and nights—almost didn’t make it out!"
"Lovers’ Gorge? Quick, give me the exact spot!" Ryan Ling was instantly hyped.
"It’s about eighty li northeast from here, tons of flowers—easy to find, but that place is creepy as hell. Once you go in, it’s almost impossible to get out!" Chief Mira rattled off.
