"Help!"
Serena was on the verge of tears, feeling a desperate urge to grit her teeth and just charge through.
God... If she had to stay twisted up like this all day, she'd rather just slit her own throat and end it. At least that would be quicker.
Slow torture is just too much to bear!
So pathetic!
The Lizardman Smith and Snow both looked at Serena with sympathetic faces, then silently lowered their heads. Serena could only rely on luck now; there was nothing they could do.
"Wait..." Prince Nolan spoke, but Serena wished she hadn't heard it; that way, she could still hope Nolan would try to save her.
"I can't hold on." She felt her limbs shaking; at most, she could last another half hour. After that...
"Wait for me." Prince Nolan spoke so slowly that Serena didn't catch the full meaning.
"Then hurry up, I can't hold out much longer." Serena cursed Nolan for being like a snail, saying only one word at a time, driving her crazy with impatience.
Whew... She was saved. Serena started adjusting her breathing, trying to keep it steady and conserve energy while waiting for Prince Nolan to rescue her.
Prince Nolan turned, glanced around, and saw that the area in front of the bamboo grove was completely empty, with nowhere suitable to anchor. His gaze naturally landed on Snow; Snow shivered, sensing something bad, and shrank behind the Lizardman Smith.
But if Prince Nolan wanted to use it, unless Snow ran into the bamboo grove, it would just have to obey.
"Come here." Two cold, commanding words. Snow felt even more uneasy and refused to move forward. Prince Nolan didn't get angry, just repeated: "Come. Here."
Snow struggled, but under Prince Nolan's icy gaze, it had no choice but to obey, trudging forward as if its feet were weighed down. It kept glancing back at Serena, hoping she'd notice its pleading look and persuade Prince Nolan to spare it.
Snow was sure that if Prince Nolan was looking for it at a time like this, it definitely wouldn't be for anything good.
"Hurry up!" Prince Nolan urged. Snow shivered and instantly darted to his side, staring at him with big pleading eyes: please let me go.
Prince Nolan turned away indifferently, ignoring Snow's pitiful expression, and made it stand on a small hill, then rise up on its legs...
What on earth was he up to?
Snow looked utterly confused. When it saw Prince Nolan pull out the Tiger Claw Grappling Hook and tell it to bite down, Snow finally realized he was using it as a stake.
