Su Li suddenly remembered something and said, “Oh, I remember now! I recall that Alexander Hayes once went to a little shop to see a doctor. That doctor gave him a secret remedy, claiming it would help his hair grow. I told him not to take random medicine, since even Father couldn't cure him, but he insisted on trying it and bought the remedy. Lily, do you think this could be related?”
Lily Evans slapped her thigh, exclaiming, “Exactly! It must be because of that secret remedy!”
“Oh? So is Alexander Hayes's health good or bad? I see his hair has grown, so the remedy must be working, right?” Su Li asked.
Lily Evans tutted, “Actually, both Master Lily and I know about that remedy, but we generally wouldn't give it to our patients.”
“Oh? You two can treat it? Then why didn't you treat Alexander Hayes back then?” Su Li asked curiously.
Lily Evans explained, “That remedy does make hair grow, but it’s not a real cure. It’s actually a strong stimulant. If you use it, you might grow hair, but you’ll also end up with some... side effects.”
Su Li was startled, “Side effects? What kind of side effects?”
Lily Evans raised an eyebrow, her expression serious. “Well, after using it, you might end up... not being able to perform as a man.”
Su Li’s eyes widened. “You mean... he can’t—”
Lily Evans nodded gravely. “That’s right. Baldness is cured, but now he’s... not able to stand tall as a man.”
Su Li looked at Alexander Hayes, then at Lily Evans, her face full of disbelief.
Alexander Hayes’s face turned red, and he glared at Lily Evans, “Don’t you dare say that in front of everyone!”
Lily Evans shrugged, “I’m just telling the truth. Next time, listen to your wife before taking weird medicine!”
Su Li burst out laughing, “So you traded hair for manhood! Alexander Hayes, you really are something else!”
Alexander Hayes covered his face, utterly embarrassed, while Lily Evans patted his shoulder sympathetically.
Su Li couldn't stop giggling, and even Dr. Rowan Lin shook his head, amused by the whole situation.
