Words on the Wall

Damien Gray said innocently, "I was going to tell you, but you were so impatient—and you didn't even offer me a reward, so..."

Morgan Shangguan sneered, "Very well, Damien Gray. As Cloud Guildmaster, I hereby officially challenge the Ghost Guild!"

"Oh, great! Now that the challenge is delivered, can we move on to other things?"

Watching his lecherous expression, Morgan Shangguan felt both exasperated and amused. She reached out to pinch his cheek and smiled, "Tell me, what kind of banner do you think the righteous factions will use?"

This little deception from Damien Gray was his signal to start the war.

Judging by the current situation, most of the righteous factions want to deal with them. But the fear from the previous massacre hasn't faded. If the Cloud Guild and Ghost Guild truly become irreconcilable, many will lose their nerve, hoping both sides will destroy each other rather than risk themselves!

This is exactly what Damien Gray intended, and Morgan Shangguan agreed with the approach. If they want to take them down, let them fight among themselves first!

Damien Gray lowered his head and kissed Morgan Shangguan's lips, murmuring, "Eradicate evil for the people!"

Morgan Shangguan chuckled softly. Quite likely! The righteous have always dealt with the demonic this way.

"Mo'er..."

"Hmm?"

"I love you..."

"I love you too..."

Although the birthday celebration for the Fortress Master of Qin Fortress wasn't as grand as the previous banquet at Jade Dragon Manor, it was still lively. Since Susie Yun needed to rest, Morgan Shangguan was now accompanied by Claude Yun and Muriel Murong. Mo Li and Ji Mo Tian remained at the Cloud Guild, while Marjorie Wan had been staying at Liu Estate lately.

Damien Gray was still accompanied by Ethan Gu and Maxwell Jing, and now Yuna Ye had joined them. At such an event, Shuyang Ye naturally attended as well. Upon seeing Yuna Ye, he immediately bombarded her with questions, worried that his precious daughter might be bullied.

Yuna Ye kept insisting she was fine, but in her heart, she felt disappointed. Although she lived at the Ghost King's Manor, she rarely saw Ethan Gu—he always seemed so busy!

Ethan Gu truly had been busy lately—busy seeking revenge against Maxwell Jing!

When Marjorie Wan appeared, Muriel Murong quickly ran over and grabbed her hand. "Sister Wan..."

Marjorie Wan smiled at her. Muriel Murong, ever sensitive, noticed a hint of sorrow in her eyes and quickly asked, "Sister Wan, what's wrong? Did Liam Liu bully you?"

Marjorie Wan shook her head. "He's very good to me, it's just..."

"Sister Wan..." Marjorie Wan hadn't finished her sentence before she was interrupted.

Muriel Murong turned to look and saw a beautiful young woman of seventeen or eighteen approach Marjorie Wan gracefully. She smiled and asked, "Sister Wan, where's Big Brother?"

With those words, Muriel Murong already guessed her identity—Kimberly Liu, the eldest young lady of Liu Estate. Kimberly wasn't Liam Liu's biological sister, but an orphan adopted by the Liu Matriarch.

Rumor had it that Miss Liu was a gentle woman, but Muriel Murong now saw her differently. Glancing at Marjorie Wan's expression, she wondered if Sister Wan's unhappiness was because of Kimberly Liu.

Just as Marjorie Wan was about to speak, Kimberly Liu cut in, "It's just as well Big Brother isn't here. I've wanted to talk to you for a long time, Sister Wan. Can we speak now?"

Marjorie Wan nodded. Though she didn't like Kimberly Liu, for Liam Liu's sake, she tried to be accommodating.

Muriel Murong worried Marjorie Wan's gentle nature would make her vulnerable, so she quickly informed Morgan Shangguan and then shamelessly tagged along.

Morgan Shangguan sipped her tea thoughtfully. She had previously seen Kimberly Liu and Liam Liu talking, and the look in their eyes...

She thought about it and decided to leave the matter aside—affairs of the heart must be handled by those involved. She glanced at Damien Gray. There was still important business today, and she hoped Quentin Hua, that elusive troublemaker, wouldn't suddenly cause any mischief!

In the pavilion, Kimberly Liu got straight to the point. "Sister Wan, I hope you can leave Big Brother!"

Marjorie Wan frowned and asked, "Can you give me a reason?"

Kimberly Liu stood up and said, "The reason is simple! Good and evil cannot coexist. Haven't you seen how the martial world looks at Big Brother now? If he really stays with you, he'll never be able to stand among the righteous again!"

Muriel Murong was about to speak, but Marjorie Wan calmly stopped her and asked, "Any other reasons?"

Kimberly Liu smiled and said, "It seems you've figured it out, Sister Wan. Yes, I like Big Brother, and I believe he likes me too. That's why I hope you'll leave him!"

Muriel Murong shouted, "Like hell! He obviously likes Sister Wan!"

Although she wished Marjorie Wan could be with Ji Mo Tian, since Marjorie was set on Liam Liu, she could only hope for her happiness.

Kimberly Liu frowned but ignored her, continuing to address Marjorie Wan. "Maybe you and Big Brother think it's natural for men to have multiple wives, but I can't accept it. I love only him, and he can only love me. So please leave Big Brother!"

She wasn't from this world and couldn't accept the idea of polygamy.

In her view, if you love someone, you should fight for them. So she didn't think her actions were wrong.

Muriel Murong was so angry she nearly exploded. She jumped up, but was pulled back, and snapped, "Sister Wan, don't hold me!"

Marjorie Wan, who had been tense, couldn't help but smile. "I'm not holding you!"

Muriel Murong paused, then turned and said, "Rogue Noah!"

Noah Duanmu twitched his lips. "Could you please drop the 'rogue' part?"

Muriel Murong replied briskly, "No way!"

Noah Duanmu, speechless, dragged her away. Muriel Murong struggled as he pulled her along. "Let go of me! I want to help Sister Wan—she's going to be bullied by that woman!"

"I'm being bullied too!"
