This battlefield stretched for hundreds of li, split into more than a dozen fronts, but all followed the line of the Godsever Mountains.
The Five Immortals of the demon race, the Whale King, the Skywing Queen, Grandpa Blind, Old Master Ma, Butcher, Mute Smith, Deaf, the Imperial Preceptor, Village Chief, Granny Sue, the Old Dao Lord, Elder Buddha, and the Quietmountain Hermit—all paired off in combat. As the strongest fighters of their clans, they rarely met equals in this world, but compared to the gods of High Heaven, their cultivation realms were a notch lower.
The Imperial Preceptor of Everpeace and Rocky Clayborne were already among the top powerhouses. The Preceptor fought desperately to slay the One-Eyed God, suffering grave wounds himself; Rocky and his opponent perished together, showing just how great the gap in strength truly was.
The Five Immortals and Granny Sue were slightly weaker, but had many tricks up their sleeves. They could only rely on mobility and divine arts to fend off their opponents, who were so strong that the Immortals were constantly struggling to keep up.
Crystal Blaze arrived at just the right moment. As the sun from the Solar Ark descended, the Weasel Immortal had already opened the pouch on his back, unleashing billows of yellow smoke so foul that his opponent nearly vomited up their liver and guts.
The Weasel Immortal stepped forward to hook the soul, but was stomped into the ground by his opponent, unable to move.
Willow Immortal revealed her true form—a vast cyan serpent coiled around the snowy mountains like an Azure Dragon. Her opponent also revealed their true form, towering as high as the mountain, covered in white fur, eyes flashing like lightning in the darkness, beating Willow Immortal until she coughed blood, bleeding from eyes, ears, nose, and mouth.
Hedgehog Immortal, Rat Immortal, and Fox Immortal were also gravely wounded. Granny Sue, relying on her teleportation banner and Grand Firmament Star-Palm Art, could barely hold out, evading her opponent’s killing blows.
The Five Immortals often joined forces against a single enemy, but even then, they had to stall two gods at once, which was exhausting. Granny Sue’s help eased some of the pressure, but it still wasn’t enough to match two gods.
On the other front, the Old Dao Lord had already unleashed the Fourteenth Chapter of the Dao Sword. He had only mastered half a move of the Fourteenth Chapter, and used this half-move to duel his opponent, shaking mountains and earth. But the flaw in his sword technique was quickly spotted—his opponent’s divine light pierced through layers of sword-light, pinning the Old Dao Lord to the cliff.
“Dao Sword... is nothing special!” The god’s massive palm print slammed down toward the Old Dao Lord pinned on the cliff!
Elder Buddha activated the Grand Buddha Mahayana Scripture, summoning the Twenty Mahayana Heavens. His body became a great Buddha, surrounded by myriad Buddhas, meeting force with force—but he still fell behind, and the great Buddha and Twenty Heavens were battered and torn.
His opponent was a god with three heads and six arms. Both fought in close combat, fists pounding flesh. Elder Buddha was quickly covered in blood, his white eyebrows stained red and dripping.
He was already old; his qi and blood were no longer as vigorous as before, and his stamina had greatly declined.
In his prime, the power of the Grand Buddha Mahayana Scripture would have let him fight tirelessly, his abundant qi and blood fueling his moves and divine arts. Now, he felt his strength failing, forced onto the defensive.
On the other side, Old Master Ma tried several times to come to his aid, but was always held up by his own opponent. His situation was similar; he too had reached the final realm of the Grand Buddha Mahayana Scripture—the Great Brahma Heaven Realm, surrounded by gods and Buddhas, twenty layers of divine radiance.
But Old Master Ma was young and strong, while Elder Buddha’s qi and blood were withered—he couldn’t hold out much longer.
“Relics—form is not different from emptiness, emptiness is not different from form!”
Elder Buddha began chanting, and his qi and blood suddenly surged. His moves grew stronger and stronger, his power ever more terrifying, surpassing his opponent.
Old Master Ma shuddered and called out loudly, "Master!"
Elder Buddha turned to him with a smile. “The Buddha-dharma, I leave to you. Pass it on for me!”
“Perception, conception, volition, and consciousness are likewise so!”
Buddha-light burst forth, engulfing both Elder Buddha and the god.
Grandpa Blind roamed between battlefields, using his Heart-Eye to spot flaws in the gods’ defenses and launch surprise attacks. Even so, he could only barely force the gods to defend, saving his allies’ lives.
Butcher’s fight with Lord Yan Star was pure madness—a no-holds-barred brawl, with nothing but his saber. One man and one blade, heedless of his wounds or the enemy’s power, cleaving forward through everything!
Mute Smith’s furnace on his back erupted with divine fire, silver pellets pouring out of his chest, transforming into countless divine weapons. It was as if his dantian hid another boundless furnace; both roared together, fueling him with incomparable power.
Deaf splashed ink onto the world, painting mountain and river scenes. His art stained the snowy peaks and the earth, blending painting with reality until they overlapped. His opponent wandered through these worlds, lost between art and reality, never meeting Deaf head-on.
In a direct clash, Deaf would surely lose.
During this time, he painted mountain and river scenes stretching over a hundred li, worlds within worlds. His opponent entered the painting and lost their way, unable to find an exit.
Deaf leapt out of the painted world, about to obliterate the entire landscape and its painted realm—when suddenly a sword-light shot from the painting and pierced his chest.
Deaf was sent flying by that sword-light, pouring all his strength into his brush. With a single stroke, the mountains and rivers for a hundred li around collapsed and crumbled, imploding inward and vanishing—the energy unleashed was terrifying beyond measure!
“Mere mortals should not wield the power of gods and demons!”
Amid the world-shattering explosion, a blood-soaked hand reached out, grabbing for Deaf as he flew backward.
The Skywing Queen and Whale King had revealed their true forms, soaring through sea and sky like two colossal beast-gods. Their roars shook the heavens and earth; as giants and gods clashed, the sky cracked, the moon hidden by clouds, and only when the sky split did moonlight shine through.
Both the Skywing Queen and Whale King were covered in wounds, but their fighting spirit soared. The Skywing Queen became a giant bird, slicing through the ocean with her wings, sending the sea spinning. In the whirl, she struck with her blade—a slash that split the sky, aimed at the god standing on the sea, suppressing the Whale King.
Her blade cut open the sky, but instead of moonlight, a blazing sun rolled out from the rift she had made.

The Skywing Queen was startled, not knowing what was happening, but her blade was already committed. She could only put all her strength into slashing at the god suppressing the Whale King.
At that moment, the clouds split, and another god emerged from the gloom, face twisted and monstrous, slapping down with a hand whose five fingers were like mountains, aiming to crush her!
This god hidden in the clouds also noticed the falling sun, pausing in confusion.
“What divine art is this?”
At that instant, the sun erupted—the golden rays beneath it engulfed him, sharp as blades!
Not just him; nearly all the gods of High Heaven were struck by the sun’s attack at the same moment. The golden sunlight was impossibly sharp, piercing through the gods’ bodies mid-battle and leaving deep wounds.
Crystal Blaze was not as reckless as Qin Mu. Qin Mu would simply smash enemies with the Solar Ark’s sun, causing tremendous destruction but also risking damage to the sun itself. He didn’t know how to control the sun or unleash its true power. As Sun Warden, however, Crystal Blaze had repeatedly fought with the Solar Ark and its sun against enemies in the dark; she knew every function inside out and could wield it flawlessly.
Under her control, the Solar Ark could unleash its full might with minimal harm to the sun.
In that instant, thousands of li along the Godsever Mountains were illuminated. On the seafloor, the Whale King used his golden horn to pierce the god standing on him, pinning him to the surface. The god couldn't dodge, and saw himself being torn apart by sunlight.
The hand reaching for Deaf was severed by sunlight; the palm striking at the Old Dao Lord was pierced by rays of light, illuminating the god-demon’s face.
The Buddha-light was fierce, but was scattered by the sunlight, revealing two unyielding figures within—Elder Buddha and the god perished together.
The rays from the sun continued to shine, lighting up the towering snowy peaks. The mountain where Willow Immortal lay was stained red; the dragon-like serpent tumbled down, the Weasel Immortal’s pouch was pierced, and the Weasel Immortal under the god’s feet was crushed to pulp. The god-demon’s body was covered in Hedgehog Immortal’s silver needles, looking like a giant porcupine.
The sunlight kept spreading, illuminating battlefield after battlefield. Butcher and Lord Yan Star were lit up midair; the Quietmountain Hermit and Lady Hua’s falling figures were stretched long by the light.
The sunlight reached even farther; at that moment, the light of the Sword Diagram’s ninth move flared, engulfing Star Lord Jonas and another god-demon.
Beneath the Solar Ark, the Three-Headed God’s two heads struck Crippled Joe and Apothecary, sending them flying. Apothecary’s heavenly silkworm burst out, desperately spinning silk to wrap the Imperial Preceptor, saving him from death.
Boom—
The Solar Ark shook violently. The Three-Headed God retracted its heads and landed on the deck, charging toward Crystal Blaze in the center of the four divine pillars. The Sun-Herder Chief and others turned pale and rushed to block its way, but countless Sun-Herders were smashed to pieces—still unable to stop it.
The arrival of the Solar Ark had a massive impact on the battlefield. If Crystal Blaze were allowed to attack the other gods, the High Heaven deities might be wiped out entirely.
Crystal Blaze wielded the Solar Ark, an ancient divine artifact, its power pure yang and unstoppable—threatening everyone. Yet because she controlled the Ark, her movements were limited, putting her at great risk if anyone got close.
When the Solar Ark appeared, the Three-Headed God was nearby, hunting Crippled Joe and Apothecary. He was closest to the Ark—no one expected him to leap straight aboard.
The Sun-Herder Chief held the Sun Bell, meeting force with force, but was forced back step by step. Now at the edge of the divine pillars, the Three-Headed God’s two heads suddenly flew off, bypassing the Sun-Herder Chief to blast Crystal Blaze with torrents of water and fire.
Crystal Blaze coughed blood, raising both hands to block—the sun’s power was drastically weakened.
Elsewhere, the Sword Diagram’s ninth move burst forth, its dazzling sword-light outshining the sun itself. Then the sword-light gradually faded.
On that battlefield, Star Lord Jonas stood unyielding, coldly facing his old adversary—the former Human Emperor.
“You’ve grown old.”
Star Lord Jonas sneered, a crack opening at his brow. “At your peak, this move would have killed me outright. But now your qi and blood are nearly spent; it couldn’t even take my life directly, only—”
Suddenly his body wavered, blood trickling from his lips as he laughed. “Still, you’ve cut off my future. But I’m not bad either—I’ll drag you down with me.”
Beside him, the god fighting at his side suddenly split apart, collapsing into chunks of flesh.
