"Ugh—how cruel!" Jade Swann's scalp tingled as she watched the two Demon Infants, under the frenzied assault of the Sky Mice, turn into nothing but bare bones. Even the splattered black liquid was completely devoured, leaving her feeling a bit uneasy.
"There's nothing we can do about it. In this world, there's always something to counter another. If it weren't for the help of the Sky Mice, just these two Demon Infants would have been enough to give us a headache!" Shawn Young comforted her.
After the Sky Mice finished off the two Demon Infants, they circled up into the air again, squeaking excitedly. Shawn Young clapped his hands—"Pa!"—and a red glow flashed in his palms. The flying Sky Mice quickly transformed into a swirling ball of red light and vanished into thin air.
Grandmaster Zenith looked at the two glaring piles of bones across from him, his heart aching as if it were bleeding. He raised his shadowy eyes and glared fiercely at Shawn Young, his mind set on revenge. Seizing the moment as Shawn Young retracted his power, Zenith suddenly pulled out a small pitch-black porcelain bottle from his monk's robe, quickly unscrewed the cap, and sprinkled a pale yellow liquid into the air. A strange, oily stench spread rapidly. Then, he bit his own tongue, letting crimson blood gush from his mouth as he spat it into the air—"Puh!" The blood mixed with the strange liquid, turning into a faint white mist that rose and drifted toward Shawn Young and Jade Swann. But oddly enough—just a few meters from the pair, the mist suddenly vanished!
Shawn Young had just sent away the Sky Mice when he saw the eerie white mist drifting toward him. He braced himself, but to his surprise, the mist vanished into thin air. Perplexed, he frowned at Grandmaster Zenith, only to see Zenith wipe the blood from his lips and flash a sinister, cold smile.
"Uh—looks like this old bastard is up to something!" Shawn Young was startled, sensing trouble. He turned to warn Jade Swann to stay alert, but suddenly noticed Jade Swann quietly gazing at him, her pretty cheeks tinged with an odd bluish-red hue—very strange indeed.
"Jade!" Shawn Young called out to her, and Jade Swann smiled back, her lips parting as she began to sing a melodious tune. Her voice was pure and sweet, flowing and ethereal—so beautiful it sounded almost heavenly.
Shawn Young suddenly felt his body tremble as scenes flashed rapidly before his eyes—all of them were the beautiful faces of women he'd been intimate with. Each had her own unique charm, smiling at him invitingly. Most seductive of all—they gathered together, draped in sheer veils, their graceful figures and snow-white skin enchanting him. They winked and flirted, their rosy cheeks full of spring, shy and alluring, even curling their jade fingers to send him signals of affection. Shawn Young's mind grew hazy, his eyes glazed over, his body heated up, and even Little Shawn began to burn with desire. Enchanted, he slowly walked toward them.
Soon, Shawn Young saw all his women transform into shimmering phantoms, quickly merging into the form of a single woman—Jade Swann!
Jade Swann smiled sweetly at Shawn Young, her beauty blooming like a flower and her gaze soft as water. She extended a finger, beckoning him gently. Shawn Young had never seen Jade so docile before, and his heart fluttered again as he slowly moved closer, wanting to embrace her and get intimate.
Jade Swann kept her sweet smile, arms open wide for Shawn Young. Her lively, graceful singing made her chest tremble, radiating a tempting allure. As she sang, she called softly, "Come on, Shawn, let's have some fun—hehe—"
Staring at Jade Swann's heaving chest, Shawn Young's gaze grew hazy again, his lips curling into a knowing, suggestive smile. He walked straight into her open arms, reaching out to grab her twin peaks.
"Careful—it's the Soul-Hunting Devil Song!" A clear, booming roar exploded in Shawn Young's mind—it was the voice of the Red Dragon from the Heavenly Sanctuary. The dragon's shout shattered the enchanting melody ringing in Shawn's ears, yanking his wandering consciousness back into his body. Shawn's body shuddered, his dazed eyes quickly clearing up.
Regaining his senses, Shawn Young saw Jade Swann still reaching out to him, smiling sweetly—but though her smile was beautiful, her starry eyes looked a bit vacant and strangely eerie. Shawn realized he was about to embrace her.
Suddenly, several Crimson Vipers sprouted bizarrely from Jade Swann's outstretched fingers, writhing and dancing madly. As Shawn Young got close, Jade Swann waved her hands, sending the red snakes—"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"—shooting toward his chest, abdomen, and throat.
A blur of red shadows swept toward Shawn Young, carrying a faint fishy stench. He knew they were deadly poisonous, but he was too close to Jade Swann to dodge the sudden attack. In a panic, he instinctively grabbed two of the Crimson Vipers lunging at his chest and throat, but one wrapped around his abdomen and bit down.
A wave of intense pain mixed with numbness shot up from Shawn Young's lower belly. He felt dizzy and nearly stumbled to the ground, but realized this was a life-or-death moment. Gritting his teeth against the poison, he summoned his true energy, leapt to Jade Swann, and pressed his right hand to the center of her brows. A red glow flashed from his palm and sank into her forehead.
Jade Swann's body trembled, her once-vacant eyes quickly returning to normal. Her lost consciousness snapped back, and she rubbed her dazed forehead. Looking up, she saw Shawn Young standing before her, his face an odd bluish-black. He even smiled at her, but then his body slowly collapsed backward.
"Ah!? Shawn, what's wrong? How did this happen?!" Jade Swann's face turned pale with fright. She rushed forward to catch Shawn Young, screaming in panic, only to find his body limp and unconscious, eyes tightly shut, teeth clenched, his face covered in a strange bluish-black aura.
