Dotty Is Even Thinner

"Look at that look in your eyes!" Grace couldn't help but laugh. "Are you thinking about getting married too?"

"Of course!" Rina Chu replied, her face full of undisguised longing. "I want to be like you, to have a man who loves me and spoils me..."

"That's easy! Just tell me who you like, and I'll play matchmaker for you!"

"No one!" Rina Chu said. "All the good men have already been snatched up by you guys. The leftovers are just trash."

"Then you might as well focus on cultivating and become a Spirit Lord. You'll live for ages," Grace said. "Then you can wait for new batches of handsome men to be born, and pick whoever you want."

"Hmm... That actually makes sense!" she mused.

"Hehe! Where's Dotty? Haven't seen her in ages."

"Right here!" Rina Chu pulled out a cage from behind her.

Dotty was inside.

"Why do you always put her in a cage whenever you take her out?" Grace asked. "You've had her for so long, are you still afraid she'll run away?"

"No!" Rina Chu said. "She actually prefers being in the cage herself."

As she spoke, she bent down and asked Dotty, "Dotty, isn't that right?"

Leon Zane shot her a sideways glance but said nothing.

"Dotty looks skinnier," Grace said. "You've got money now, right? So why does she still look half-starved?"

"I'm helping her quit her food addiction."

"Why quit? She's not a monk!"

"It helps with her cultivation."

"Huh? You can cultivate like that?" Grace asked, puzzled.

Rina Chu nodded. "Yup."

...

Inside the cage, Leon Zane glared at Rina Chu with a look full of hatred.

This woman was definitely doing it on purpose.

Maybe she already knew he was sent to spy on her, so she was starving him out of revenge!

A gentleman's revenge can wait ten years. Just wait and see!

...

Just then, Tenner came in to report that Princess Gia was gravely ill and asked her to come to the palace.

Princess Gia is Emperor Henry's favorite youngest daughter, just five years old—clever and absolutely adorable.

In her previous life, she died young, which made Emperor Henry deeply grieve.

This time, she missed the Heaven Sacrifice because she was sick.

Grace hurriedly tossed aside her wedding dress and rushed to the palace.

Rina Chu wanted to go along, but the little eunuch who came to fetch her only had one palace entry token, so she had to give up.

Once inside Princess Gia's Moonlight Palace, Grace hurried over to check her pulse.

She wasn't seriously ill, just caught a cold and had a high fever, leaving her tired and listless.

After giving her medicine and acupuncture, her fever gradually went down and she perked right up.

"Sister, who are you? Why have I never seen you before?" Princess Gia asked.

"I'm a Spiritual Alchemist," Grace replied. "My surname is Zhuo."

"Sister Zhuo, thank you! I feel so much better now," Princess Gia said.

Grace smiled and pinched her little cheeks.

With such a cute little face, it's no wonder Emperor Henry dotes on her so much.

After prescribing medicine and giving instructions, Grace told the palace maids to take good care of her, then left.

However, as she stepped out of the bedroom, Grace found Consort Penelope had arrived.

All the other ranked consorts had gone to the Heaven Sacrifice, but Consort Penelope claimed she was unwell and stayed behind.

Before the Empress Dowager left, she put Consort Penelope in charge of the harem.

Grace greeted her with a bow. "Consort Penelope."

"What are you doing in the palace? Who called you here?" Consort Penelope asked.

"It was Eunuch Louis," Grace replied.
