The thunder in the sky continued unabated.

The dim red light spilled across every corner of the earth, reaching Guang River Estuary. It slipped through the cracks in the window lattice, shining into Anna Yang’s room and onto her tear-streaked face as she leaned against the edge of her couch.

Her eyelids fluttered slightly, but she did not open her eyes.

Skyhowl quietly slipped into the room, covering his nose as he added incense to the steel burner on the desk, then hurried out again.

“This incense seems to work pretty well. You should’ve brought it out sooner.”

Skyhowl frowned at Skypride, tucked the remaining half of the incense stick into a small pouch, and whispered, “Have you thought about what will happen if the Third Saintess wakes up and finds out we used sleep incense on her?”

Hearing this, Skypride’s eyes darted nervously and he quickly shrank back his neck.

Skyhowl lifted his gaze to the dim red sky and said, “Either way, we just have to hold out until General Erlang returns. Once he’s back, our mission is done.”

At that moment, on the outskirts of Blossom Mountain, Erik Yang was watching the battlefield from afar.
