Healing and Rescue

A thick, sticky liquid slid down Fiona Tang’s throat and into her esophagus. She slowly swallowed it, and almost instantly, the stuff worked its magic. As Shawn Young’s potent Yang Seed—packed with blazing yang energy—spread through her belly, Fiona’s delicate body trembled slightly. That bone-chilling cold inside her melted away, replaced by a wave of warmth that chased all the icy poison out of her system.

Fiona’s fuzzy mind started to clear. She remembered feeling freezing cold, like her soul was begging for warmth. She couldn’t control herself at all—her hands just grabbed onto something huge, hard, and hot, and she kept gulping it down. That big, burning thing had melted the cold right out of her bones.

Even in her daze, Fiona Tang realized that enormous, hard, hot thing was stuffed in her mouth, blocking her throat so much she could barely breathe. It was just too damn big! Instinctively, she opened her mouth wider and pushed with her hands, desperate for a breath of fresh air.

Right then, Shawn Young felt a sudden chill below and came crashing down from cloud nine. He quickly opened his eyes and looked down, only to see Fiona Tang patting her own head, clearly regaining her senses and slowly opening her eyes.

Shawn panicked. If Fiona realized what had just happened, she’d probably die of embarrassment—she was still a virgin, after all! In a fluster, Shawn stuffed away his still-terrifying 'monster' and yanked up his pants.

Talk about a close call—Shawn was still fumbling with his zipper when Fiona came to. The first thing she saw was herself crouched between Shawn’s thighs, staring right at his black underwear—and the huge bulge stretching it to the limit!

"Ah—!" Fiona’s eyes flew wide as she yelped, clutching her chest. Her face turned beet red as she looked up at Shawn. He could still see a glimmer of milky-white liquid on the corner of her cherry lips, and just remembering her wild behavior made his own face burn with embarrassment.

"D-did I… just do something… with you?" Fiona Tang whispered, her cheeks flushed crimson. She could still taste something strange lingering in her throat, a flavor she couldn’t quite describe—except it felt way too intimate. Her mind started to piece together what might’ve happened.

"No, no, nothing happened! Fiona, don’t let your imagination run wild. Here, eat this herb—it’ll flush out all the cold poison in your body!" Shawn, afraid she’d keep asking questions and he’d get busted, quickly handed her the Dragonsoul Herb.

"What’s this herb? I’ve never seen it before. It looks gorgeous—and the smell is so unique!" Fiona Tang examined the Dragonsoul Herb closely.

"Oh, that’s Dragonsoul Herb! It cures all kinds of problems, and you can just eat it raw—it even tastes good! Fiona, hurry and eat it! Once you do, you’ll be back to normal, I promise!" Shawn urged her.

"Wow—so magical? Okay then!" Fiona trusted Shawn completely. She slowly ate the Dragonsoul Herb, leaves and roots and all. Just like Shawn said, it tasted sweet and fragrant, with a hint of medicinal spice. As the herb dissolved in her belly, it supercharged the Yang Seed she’d swallowed earlier. A rush of clarity and energy spread through her whole body. Her weak meridians felt like dried-up rivers flooding with fresh water, and her energy bounced back. Except for the true energy she’d burned up, she was basically back to normal—actually, she felt even better than before!

"Whoa—this Dragonsoul Herb is unreal! But wait, I was poisoned by Infernal Nightshade! That stuff’s one of the three nastiest toxins in the world—just one Dragonsoul Herb can wipe it out? Is this herb some kind of legendary miracle plant?" Fiona marveled, still a bit skeptical.

"Uh—Dragonsoul Herb is pretty much a miracle plant, yeah. Anyway, you’re fine now! Haha—Fiona, you just got your strength back, so don’t overthink it. Rest up here for a while; tomorrow we’re heading home! I still need to check on Colonel Han and the others." Shawn said quickly.

"Okay! You guys be careful, and let’s get out of Peshawar as soon as possible—no point tempting fate!" Fiona nodded.

"Yeah, yeah, just rest up, Fiona. I’ll go check things out and be back soon to keep you company!" Shawn said, naturally reaching out to stroke her soft hair.

"Okay—hurry back!" Fiona’s heart was pounding like a startled deer, her mind still confused about what she’d just done. It felt like there were pieces of memory she couldn’t quite grab…

Shawn Young stepped out of the room and saw more than twenty Dragonsoul Special Ops soldiers outside, weapons at the ready, guarding every corner. The market was surrounded by another ring of Jihadist Brigade fighters. The corpses of the resistance fighters killed by Akira Akita’s evil sword had already been cleared away. Not far off, Han Feng was chatting with Big Beard Ak and a few Jihadist Brigade leaders. Some wounded Dragonsoul soldiers had their injuries bandaged and were resting against the wall by the window.

Han Feng quickly spotted Shawn and hurried over, asking anxiously, "Comrade Shawn, how’s Team Leader Tang doing?"

"Oh, don’t worry! She’s fine—just resting now," Shawn replied.

"That’s great! As long as Team Leader Tang is safe, we can report back to Commander Tang when we get home! Thank you, Shawn—you really saved the day. Without you, this mission would’ve totally tanked! If we make it back, you’re definitely getting top honors!" Han Feng said excitedly. He had no idea the Dragon King had shown up, since he’d been off fetching reinforcements during the whole incident.

"It was all teamwork! Uh—how are those guys doing? They don’t look so great. Why not send them to the hospital?" Shawn asked, pointing at the wounded Dragonsoul soldiers. He didn’t care about fame, especially after meeting someone like the Dragon King, so he kept quiet about that and focused on the injured.

"Oh, those injuries came from fighting the assassins—not too serious. We wanted to send them to the hospital, but the guys were worried about being short-handed. Plus, things are chaotic in Peshawar right now. Our soldiers are Chinese, and they got shot—if the local spies catch wind, it could get ugly. So we’re toughing it out for now. As long as Team Leader Tang’s okay, we’ll leave first thing in the morning and deal with the injuries back home." Han Feng explained.

"Uh—that’s not great! What if they end up with lasting injuries? Let me take a look. Maybe I can fix them up." Shawn said.

"Really, Shawn? You actually have a way?" Han Feng asked, getting excited.

"I’ll do my best!" Shawn said, striding over to the injured Dragonsoul soldiers. He checked their wounds carefully and quickly realized they’d been hit by stray bullets in the earlier firefight. The injuries weren’t fatal, but the wounds kept bleeding, even with bandages and medicine.

Shawn knew that injuries like these could easily cause lasting problems. For these tough soldiers, permanent damage meant their military careers could end in a heartbeat—and that just wasn’t an option for guys who lived for honor in the Dragonsoul Special Ops!

Shawn turned to Han Feng and said, "I’m going to the other room to mix up some Chinese medicine. Colonel Han, wait outside and make sure no one disturbs me!"

"Oh! Got it!" Han Feng saw Shawn was confident, so he quickly agreed.

Shawn went into a storeroom inside the market, shut the door, and sent his mind into the Codex of Ascension. He pulled out a few Dragonsoul Herbs, found some bowls, and mashed the herbs up. He put the paste in several bowls, then opened the door and handed them out to the wounded Dragonsoul soldiers so they could apply it both inside and out.

The Dragonsoul Herb worked its magic fast—those wounded soldiers started recovering in no time. Han Feng couldn’t help but marvel, giving Shawn a thumbs-up and calling him a miracle doctor. He knew that even the best military hospitals back home couldn’t pull off such a speedy, miraculous recovery!

Han Feng wanted to ask where Shawn got those amazing herbs, but Shawn just smiled and said he’d brought them from home. He was itching to get back to Fiona Tang. Han Feng knew Shawn was dodging the question—it was obviously a secret recipe—so he just waved and let Shawn go.
