Human Powerhouse Zander Xiang

"Please, don't kill my senior brother! I'll do anything you ask!" the young woman pleaded desperately, tears streaming down her face. She looked heartbreakingly pitiful, but Evan Chu was utterly unmoved.

"Anything I ask? Heh, sounds like your senior brother means a lot to you. But don't get your hopes up—I'm not going to do as you wish. What makes you think you have the right to bargain with me? Are you offering your body in exchange? Too bad, I'm not interested in ordinary, vulgar women like you. He's doomed to die!" Evan laughed.

"You! You—!" The young woman felt her vision go dark; she was so furious at Evan's words that she fainted on the spot. Evan tossed her aside casually, leaving her sprawled on the ground without a trace of mercy.

At that moment, the young man's attack arrived in front of Evan. Evan grinned, "You really don't know your own limits. Let me show you how powerful I am today."

With a thought, Evan instantly unleashed Windshift. With a wave of his hand, countless wind blades appeared before him, swiftly meeting the young man's sword-qi attack. Crackling sounds echoed without pause as, within a few breaths, the young man's assault was shattered by the force of the wind blades—and quite a few blades struck his body as well.

Although Evan's wind blades didn't hit the young man's neck this time, the deep, bone-revealing wounds across his body left him in agony. Blood instantly soaked his clothes, and all the courage he'd shown just moments ago to kill Evan vanished without a trace.

"Weren't you so arrogant just now? Your junior sister is right here—why aren't you attacking anymore? Cowardly and afraid of death, you disgust me. Let me send you on your way and put you out of your misery," Evan said.

He summoned the Frostbane Sword, his figure flashing as a graceful arc of sword-light appeared. The sword-qi from the Frostbane Sword struck the young man's heart directly. With Evan's current attack power, the youth had no chance to resist—even though he was on the verge of breaking through to the Venerable Martial Realm, he still couldn't escape death.

The Frostbane Sword pierced straight through his heart. The young man fell, unwilling and defeated, his eyes still fixed in the direction of the unconscious young woman. Perhaps, in his final moments, what troubled him most was leaving her unprotected—but now he was powerless to help.

After glancing at the young man's corpse, Evan remarked, "Running into me meant you were doomed to die. Your talent was decent, but you were born in the wrong place—if you'd come from the Azure Tide Ruins, we might have even been friends."

After stripping the storage ring from the young man's hand, Evan Chu couldn't care less about the unconscious girl. Just as he was about to leave, two figures suddenly appeared in the sky—one chasing the other—and instantly landed before him.

The first was Patriarch Owen Yang of the Yang Family, bloodied and pale, clearly gravely wounded. The one behind was Zander Xiang, the Human King, whom Evan Chu had met once before. Evan was surprised at how quickly Zander had returned, thinking the Beast lord of Trinity Waters City was surely doomed.

"You alright? How did you draw this guy over here? Weren't you in Trinity Waters City? What's going on?" Evan Chu asked Patriarch Owen.

"Young master, I was in Trinity Waters City, but while killing a Third-Layer Venerable, he tried to escape. I chased him out of the city and killed him, but then ran into Zander Xiang. His strength is terrifying—I barely escaped with my life," Patriarch Owen replied.

At that moment, Zander Xiang saw the unconscious girl and the dead young man on the ground. Rage surged across his face, his dark eyes flashing with a killing intent that made people tremble.

"Did you kill my beloved disciple?" Zander Xiang spat out the words coldly. In his eyes, Evan Chu was already a dead man.

"He ran into my weapon and died. Not my problem. Honestly, a trash disciple like that dying is no loss—having him alive only disgraces a Human powerhouse like you. I actually did you a favor. So, how do you plan to thank me?" Evan Chu laughed, clearly not taking Zander Xiang seriously.

"Kid, you're the most arrogant person I've ever met in the Netherworld. You dare act so calm in front of me—you're one of a kind. But today, you must die. Still, I'm curious: how did someone at the mere Saint Martial Realm manage to kill my disciple?" Zander Xiang said.

He then helped the unconscious girl up, fed her a red pill, and sent a surge of Netherforce into her back. The girl quickly regained consciousness, and upon seeing Zander Xiang, her pent-up grievance exploded—she broke down and sobbed uncontrollably.

"May, don't cry! I'll personally avenge your senior brother. I'll make that brat die a miserable death. Rest for a while and watch how your master slays him," Zander Xiang said.

At this, Evan Chu also told Patriarch Owen, "When I fight him, get out of here as fast as you can. If you can take the girl, even better. I want Zander Xiang to learn what happens when you mess with me."

"Old man, you sure talk big. Honestly, you and I had no beef, but you just had to cross the line. Killing one disciple is already letting you off easy. If you piss me off, I'll take care of your female disciple right in front of you—let her taste the finest pleasures in the world. Oh, right, you're the kind who cultivates that boy's purity technique, can't touch women your whole life. Too bad you'll never know what that feels like. Just wait till May tells you about it. To be honest, her chest is really soft! Hahahaha!" Evan Chu laughed loudly.

These words were like pouring oil on fire for Zander Xiang. His lifelong inability to touch women was a constant frustration, and May had always been like a daughter to him. From Evan Chu's words, he realized May had already been abused.

"Kid, your life is mine!" Zander Xiang finally snapped. His killing intent exploded, and he lunged at Evan Chu, his figure blurring into a deadly shadow.

At this point, he no longer cared if Trinity Waters City was destroyed. Earlier, he'd gone out of his way to lure the Beast lord away and kill him far from the city, hoping to spare the fortress. Now, with rage boiling over, none of that mattered. All he wanted was to tear Evan Chu to pieces.

Patriarch Owen immediately darted aside—he had no intention of being Evan Chu's burden. All he needed was a chance to grab the girl and get out; Evan Chu could handle the rest. After all, anyone who could kill the Ghost King and Beast King shouldn't have much trouble with a Human powerhouse.

But Evan Chu didn't back down. He wanted to test Zander Xiang's true strength. He swung the Frostbane Sword, unleashing Windshift at the same time—cyan wind blades and invisible sword-qi met Zander Xiang's attack head-on.
