Two Highnesses, Please Save Me

Smack!

High God Felicity Quinn swept her sleeve and landed a slap right across Jenna Summers' face.

Jenna clearly hadn’t expected Felicity Quinn to actually hit her. She clutched her cheek, eyes wide, and after a long moment stammered, “You... you... you actually hit me!”

Felicity Quinn replied coldly, “Damn right I hit you! Isn’t your father a concubine? Aren’t you a concubine-born daughter? What makes you think you can disrespect someone under my protection?”

Felicity Quinn’s reputation in Cangwu is formidable, and Jenna didn’t dare talk back. Tears welled up as she looked to the Celestial Empress, aggrieved: “Mother!”

“Felicity!” the Celestial Empress snapped. “How dare you hit the Second Prince’s Heir-Consort? She’s my daughter-in-law!”

“So what if she’s the Heir-Consort? She married into the family—she’s not Phoenix Clan anymore, is she?” Felicity shot back. “Anyone who’s Phoenix Clan, I’ll discipline as I see fit!”

The Celestial Empress’s face darkened. “With the Celestial Emperor gone, Cangwu thinks it can just ignore Tianque Palace now?”

Felicity paused, then said, “Tianque Palace has always led the Three Realms, and our Phoenix Clan has respected it for generations. But what earned our respect wasn’t the palace itself, nor any so-called divine mandate—it was the Dragon Clan’s justice, discipline, and concern for the world. That’s what we admired.”

Felicity Quinn pressed her, “But does Tianque Palace still have any of that? What do you expect us to respect—your citywide massacre to frame Fifth Highness, letting your sons insult Emperor Ray Quinn’s legacy, or all the messes your own clan has made?”

Felicity’s words made the Celestial Empress tremble with rage. She abruptly ordered, “Guards! Arrest them all!”

Divine soldiers surged forward, spell arrays forming, ready to seize everyone.

“Stop!” A sharp voice cut through the chaos.

Everyone turned to see Henry Xiao and Brandon Xiao.

“Brandon, why did you leave seclusion?” the Celestial Empress frowned, then looked at Henry.

Henry avoided her gaze and spoke only to Brandon: “Big Brother, Lily Bai does look a little like Lucia Lu, but they checked with the Chrono Dial—she’s not related to Lucia at all!”

Brandon glanced at Lily Bai.

Lily Bai secretly opened Heaven’s Eye to size up the First Prince.

These years, with the Celestial Emperor missing, Brandon had been in seclusion, likely hoping to ascend as Crown Prince, stabilize the realm, and inherit Longyuan.

But after a hundred years of closed-door training, there’s still no sign of his ascension…

Lily Bai blinked her big eyes and suddenly threw herself forward: “Help me, Your Highnesses! The Demon Emperor wants to burn me, the Azure Dragon Lord wants to feed me to Young Master Drake, and the Celestial Empress wants to keep me as a hostage! I can’t survive like this! Please let me go—I just want to go home, boo hoo hoo!”

Henry Xiao steadied her, frowning at his mother: “Mother! Lily is innocent! You already made her ‘kill’ Bianca Whitefan—what more do you want?”

The Celestial Empress was so furious that veins popped on her neck. She forced herself to hold back her rage and said, “Your third brother’s been kidnapped by Sean Shaw! And you only care about this little wretch!”

“If Third Brother’s been kidnapped, then we should figure out how to rescue him! Why keep Lily locked up here?” Henry argued.

“You—”

“Mother.” Brandon Xiao called out, “I heard everything just now! Please, let them go!”

“Absolutely not! Your third brother is in Sean Shaw’s hands—how could we possibly let Lily Bai go?” the Celestial Empress shot back.

Brandon Xiao fell silent for a moment, then said, “Mother, surely you remember? Back then, all five Dragon Lords agreed I’d oversee Longyuan’s affairs.”

The Celestial Empress’s eyes narrowed. “What are you implying?”
